The complex note comes from the V10 banks combining into one single exhaust. It was banned from 2002 sadly. The sound is very similar to the V8 BMW134 Judd designed by the late great Georg Plasa. Please give that car a search!
Quite possibly for me the most beautiful sounding F1 car of any era. Seriously it’s like the mix sounds of the NA V10 and V6 hybrid turbos engines plus adding the sound of a US fighter jet. A beautiful car with a beautiful sound
@@ollijokinen1571 Even funnier for me,i dont remember these at all! Today the cars are better looking than 8 years ago,but they are too big for my taste (bigger than an LMP1!)They are obviously wonders of tech and aero with no rival, but for me nothing beats the exciting and screaming old toys
Actually yes, the title is indeed incorrect. I found my old F1 season 2000 review book, and in it it states what you said. So this clip is from 3rd February 2000 in Jerez, the car launch of McLaren.
this complex note is unique.
this is the most amazing & fearsome soung of any f1 car ever!

Any car ever.
@@sirlloyd6386and also because it uses Beryllium alloy pistons
i dont think anyone can argue that must be the nicest sounding f1 car to date

What a car they did in 98 and 99 !!!
that's the 2000 car, '98 was the mp4-13, '99 was the mp4-14, and 2000 was the mp4-15
best engine sound
The Flying Finn at his bests!
What a sound!!!
Demonic sound!
more like angelic
mechanical symphony
Omg dude! You are amazing! I've been looking for videos like this. Absolutely amazing the sound of this car!
so it was Newey who introduced it here at McLaren and later reintroduced it at Red Bull?
I wonder if the sound affects their driving ☺

lovely
old f1 cars were beautifull, todays cars make me sick
Funny seeing this now 8 years later. At least the v8s were still in use. What about 2020 cars?

@@boss350a I agree. They really should come down in size.
@@ollijokinen1571 Unfortunately if think there are better odds of getting a reservation at Dorsia on a Friday night than to see that happening ;)
@@boss350a Haha we'll see about that.
I want to buy this exact F1 car
You can’t since it’s a race car, so it’s not road legal. Unless you have your own circuit.
@@Havok1199 you can buy retired f1 cars
This can't be December 1999. The car was launched in February 2000.
Maybe this was the 99 car with some 00 bits.

Quando la tecnica oltrepassa le aspettative. The power on performance 🙏🏻👍🏻

You also can listen to traction control working. So good this sound.
It wasn’t allowed yet

@@kodakwhite1696 You're so wrong. Just hear the "crrrrr crrrrr" sound to be extinguished from all rest sound. That's traction control working sound.

In any case V10 engines sounds mutch better like V8...it's horrible!!!
Lmao how do you like them v6t's?
this comments makes me appreciate how great the V8s were, especially during 2006, or the blown diffuser era in 2011.
Id pay 10mil for the powerplant alone
No sidepod chimneys yet...
