Reminder: keeping up with bleeding edge of endgame meta is dolphin/whale activity. Prioritize building out your team archetypes fully. I personally will be skipping start of 3.0 until Fate collab. Not gonna give into fomo, and want to pick the team pieces I want with full information.
100% but i am leaning towards making the opposite choice at the moment : skipping the Fate Collab, as i am not familiar with this universe and i feel like it is more a reward for spenders. I doubt these collab characters will be stronger than the HSR-universe characters. imho, ideally they would be a special case of the Summon playstyle, with just a little something that makes them a different flavor and so that they do not compete directly against the regulars.
Not all fate collab characters will be a summon type unless they give them all a master. Which at least 3 of them have the same master or are a servant to another servant.
Agreed. I personally am holding out for two characters who doesn't even have a release date yet: Kevin's Expy, and Opal. Because Boss Baby is number one in my list, damn the meta.
It's crazy how fast the meta cycles, to the point where getting Firefly 5 months after release is considered very late. Everything moves so fast, in a blink of an eye a character goes from must pull to disregardable. This dps problem which stems from them needing to shit out new shinier gimmicks every couple months to maximize cashgrabs is starting to get tiring. Which won't be a real problem if it weren't for the artificial difficulty they put on newer enemies with the hp inflation.
I ran some numbers on this, and HSR releases new characters about twice as quickly as Genshin, and four times as quickly as HI3rd. It's... kind of insane
@@pinkpanda187 If you have Ruan Mei right now, then yes super worth it since superbreak is still gonna be strong even when the summon meta comes around (unless you already have a superbreak dps). It's just gonna be sidelined a bit with the endgame catering harder towards newer units which is always the case. If not, then pulling her is still nice but not adviceable per se, since it's unclear when RM will rerun. And with Sunday + Summon Dpses around the corner, it makes more sense to target them for instant value for an account, with their releases aligning.
@@pinkpanda187 Then yeah, FF will be amazing for your account as that is your superbreak team waiting right there. If you have lots of jades, you could still pull Sunday for the upcoming meta. Although keep in mind he could, like Robin, have a rerun not too long after his release. Fugue is tricky since her value hinges on how important Remembrance MC will be for teams of the next archetype. She's def the better short term value pull compared to Sunday though.
So either ignore remembrance and get neither Sunday or Fugue or start investing in remembrance and you need both Sunday day and Fugue if you want to keep your break team.
You don't need Sunday for Break, Sunday is for the Summons Team. It's either Pull Sunday for a future investment or grab Fugue to keep your Break team while using the new Remembrance MC.
@ You don’t need Sunday for break but you do need Trailblazer and if Trailblazer defects to Remembrance team then you suddenly need Fugue for break. So if you want to do Remembrance then you should get Sunday and with it taking Trailblazer away from Break you should get Fugue too. If you don’t want to do Remembrance then you don’t need Sunday and since Trailblazer can remain with Break you don’t need Fugue either. So either get neither or get both.

It boggles my mind that with the MC and both of March 7th's versions that we still can't use their different versions simultaneously on different teams for the end game content. Their are still great teams comps that can utilize preservation mc.
Riiight, they give us usable free characters and then let us use their different versions at the same time.... It's a gatcha game! They want you to pull for the banner characters. So they give you free character you can use with the new superbreak mains. Oh, okay, now you will get other team mates for this setup. And now, that you have all the members, but one of them is threatened to be switched out, the give you the subsitute - Fugue. How would it worth for them to let you use multiple versions of these charaters? I'm not sure they'll let Herta and The Herta be on the same team and those are physically different in lore.
3:51 as much as I love Honkai, this is something that concerns me. With so many 5 stars, collecting all of them is gonna be really difficult, especially for busy people or people who aren’t willing to spend money on the game. And I don’t know if Hoyoverse intends to always rerun characters time and time again. Correct me if I’m wrong, but after the game launched, Seele got one rerun last October, and hasn’t been rerun since. So, is she just lost to new players? When does Hoyo intend to rerun her? I was lucky enough to pull Acheron yesterday 3 days before the end of her banner, but others may never get the chance to pull these characters if Hoyo doesn’t intend to keep rerunning their characters

@@taoboyce6412 Something even more important is how that works. When he uses skill on ult buff character, he doesn't just not use skill points, but rather he uses it but gets the sp refunded. Pretty significant difference because it means he can fully utilize sparkle lc, as the sp refund will proc the lc buff
If summon is just an additional for Remembrance, then it can be that the abilities of these summons can be: 1. A buffer for the summoner 2. An additional attacker for the summoner. 3. A defensive unit for the summoner. But if we based it on Lingsha type of summon.. Then we can be expecting summons that are: 1. FUA 2. DOT 3. Damage dealers 4. Breakers If they don't do a thing or two about Super Breaks.. Then we can say that summons later on will still have super break capabilities.. Your thoughts?
The biggest problem with our generals kit was the locked in speed of lightning Lord and it's vulnerability to CC. Sunday literally erases the problem with frequency of attacks and lowers the chance of CC getting in the way. Pair him aventurine for the effect res and now you get a cure to his kit. You'll have less stacks built with each hit but going 3 times per turn (with high speed sunday) makes up for missing one giant hit, especially once you factor in gear effects stacking. Sunday and fugue are must pulls if you want maximum flexibility going forward. Remember DPS come and go, supports last at least a year+, hell even sparkle is looking like a return to main teams is coming. I just wish they would add a 5th combat slot to really shake up team building
I've long thought that the game needed a bigger party. Solo sustain Aventurine ameliorated that a bit, but sometimes it's hard to pack in all you want to with 4 slots and hyperspecialized units.
Biggest thing for me is making builds easier. One major reason I kinda fell off Star Rail is cause im just so insanely unlucky when it comes to relics, so any form of streamlining the building process is a W for me
I will not make the same mistake again I did in 1.6. I have waited for sunday release since he was first revealed. I am garauntee him and his lightcone, and I am hoping for E1. Then I am pulling for Aglaea. The summon playstyle is something i want to get into and what star rail is heading towards
I personally think this game is progressing far too fast. They keep throwing new characters at us all of them being pretty good to top tier making us feel like we have to pull on every banner. Coupled with the power creep and the re running of best in slot characters together (ruan Mei and firefly, fugue and firefly, Sunday and jing yuan, robin and feixiao, Kafka and swan, etc.) makes this game kind of exhausting to play and keep up with as f2p in addition to making me question the longevity of it. At this rate I believe we will reach this point (much faster than we should) where tons of characters are just collecting dust forgotten while the meta fluctuates too quickly making it difficult for everyone who doesn’t spend. What can they do to solve the excess character issue? Run five banners at once? At this rate the characters are being pumped out, how are version 1 (and 2 in the future) characters going to rerun? Though at that point they will have no meta relevance whatsoever, there will be players who wish to have them for collectors sake. It’s already happening, characters are already going missing and the games only been out for what? A year and a half? When was the last time we’ve seen Seele? Or silver wolf? I think they should just take a step back and slow down the pace for a bit. Whether it’s practical or not, I don’t know but I certainly wish they’d do that.
I’m 100% sure we got SW in 1.5 with Argenti and Seele in 1.4 with Topaz. They do intend to rerun characters. Problem is powercreep like Yami mentioned.
I'm just gonna shotgun pull for every new banner character. The reason why I can get away with that is because I have 3 teams already built -> FuA, Super break, DoTcheron. If I get any of the new units it'll be a boost to any of my current teams or the upcoming rememberance team. With that in mind, I'll most likely end up getting Sunday and The Herta just cause of how my pull luck has been. PS: Aglaea is pronounced like Ag-laia (Ag-lie-uh) Great vid my man!
1:45 i was talking about that in another comment section a few days ago. i always feel like i NEVER have enough pulls for what i want, even tho i play the game everyday and cleared pretty much all the end game content. i figured out it's bc there's too many characters, ofc you can't get everything you want... i also think this mechanics of focusing in different types of gameplay in different versions doesn't help much, it feels like you always have to be pulling because your characters are left behind very quickly :'). I hope it gets better for my account as the game gets older
I'm a big Sunday fan, sitting here with his E1S1- and it's kinda funny I'm doing things in reverse, like I didn't pull him for summon meta but now because I *have* him and want him to shine, I *will* be pulling for at least some remembrance characters XD that was probably hoyo's plan all along (since he's been such an anticipated character) and they totally got me lmao
Wishful Resin is awesome at face value but... It scares the shit out of me. The easier it is to get great relics, the more expected it's going to be from a dev standpoint. The current relic system sucks ass, but the new one is gonna expect an extra +1 on all your gear and folks are going to defend it because now you can reroll.
I really want fugue bc pretty, but the remembrance characters + the fact that my main dps (+ favorite dps) is topaz and numpy means sunday is almost a necessity esp bc the spot he would be taking is harmony mc
Im looking at this from my Male only Challenge perspective. males miss are as patch lands are Jing Yuan (first banner miss cause want play on playstation and not have extremely warm phone in hand , 2nd banner had make Choice of Him or Luocha and Adventurine to increase my sustains options.) And Sunday. So Sunday be my Priority since leak remembrance MC. Then see if swing get Jing Yuan since i see 3.0 be two female 5 Star so for Challenge account they arent being in consideration.
i may have missed some "forbidden knowledge" but indeed Herta case could be surprising. afaik, she does not fit into any particular playstyle like Break, DoT, FuA, Debuff, HP drinking, Summon... She might be just herself and that could mean that her kit is really strong to be relevant regardless.
@@VerbosePX She's Acheron/Jingliu mix in playstyle, needs stacks, another Erudition in team(Jade being "Premium Option" like Topaz for Feifei), action advance, enhanced skill etc. Pretty loaded kit so far.
If you don't play break and thus don't need harmony TB, Sunday + remembrance TB will pair very well with Aglaea. With the 3.0 patch giving a lot of jades it's pretty feasible for an F2P to pull Sunday and Aglaea and pretty much instantly have a new (likely top tier) comp.
I'm already locking into superbreak late. I mainly just play e1s1 acheron and only somewhat recently decided to work on crafting boothill superbreak. Sadly I don't have ruan mei
Honestly I give up trying to keep up with endgame All my fav characters are just getting powercrept and I dont feel like replacing my characters over and over again when the HP of the enemies keeps getting inflated, its not fun so ima just not do it anymore

Question… is Fugue a good value pull for Boothill who is break but not super break? I have E0S1 Boothill, E0S0 RM, E6 Gallagher, E0S1 Bronya(replacing her with Sunday). I don’t use HMC at all on team Boothill, and I don’t have Firefly or Rappa. But very interested in the summon characters. I also am not crazy about Fugue’s design but will get her if she adds a lot of value for Boothill.
Boothill is the absolute winner when it comes to Fugue. If he's your Break unit - she's a must pull. Rappa and FF don't get nearly as much benefit from her as Boothill, if you get her E1, you can even ditch Ruan Mei.
If you dont want to go all in on a meta you dont have to. As long as you have decent builds and flexible team comps you will be fine. In v1 I didnt get Bronya until the 300 selector and skipped DHIL and Jingliu, still full cleared. In V2 I skipped Firefly, Boothill, Feixiao, Aventurine and lost the 50/50 on Robin both times but still full cleared. I wasnt doing 0-2 cycles like everyone else, but three stars is three stars.
I'm going to test my luck and try to get both Sunday and Fugue, and if I somehow manage to have enough pulls before the banners end I'll go for Firefly's LC
It finally hit me that by making HMC good, it incentivizes pulling for a limited to replace them if RMC is also good, which means there's an incentive for them to make RMC good. They found a way to make making the free MC good profitable. Honestly, good on them it's about time.
I have a question that maybe somebody on here can answer for me. I just recently started playing Honkai star rail, and I’m now at the part where it’s the Luofu Alliance section. And I have the option to change my main character from preservation to harmony, however, obviously story wise I would not have been a harmony yet. Should I continue playing this section of the story as preservation and ignore harmony or should I just start investing in playing as harmony? It feels kind of weird to skip ahead and use this path without it having happened story wise but what do others think?
I have firefly break basic team with rm and no other 5 star and I have dot premium team Kafka , huo huo, black swan so who should I pull for? Char to power up dot team/super break or someone else like entire new summons(sun) or fuge for ff I also have fu Xuan and Robin along with ratio, no 5star light cone, I only have 4 k gem and 40 pity

Imagine if they pulled an Uno Reverse/Switcheroo and gave HSR Veliona HI3 Seele's personality because the Seele we already got in HSR is more like Veliona from HI3, a brash Seele and timid Veliona might be interesting to see, and I hope they made some unique quips if we put Seele, Veliona, Bronya, and Silver Wolf in the same party
sunday is a definite pull for me (given that i'm at 76 pity on a guarantee with 60 pulls saved it's a no-brainer), though i just have to decide wether i'm going for fugue for my acheron team, or skipping her. 3.0 i'm definitely skipping, but i do want phainon, anaxa, the elysia expy.. and i REALLY want the fate collab units, so deciding on the future banners will be rough
Allright, after Acheron disaster (I was rolling her until I got E2). I'm simply gonna pull out my favorite FGO strategy - roll for everyone, since 1 ticket is more than enough. It sucks that the chance is 0,6 instead of 0,8. But it doesn't matter, since I'm gonna pull out 5 SSR characters with 5 tickets!
I kind of doubt it. Considering RM is THE break support, and Robin is THE follow up support, I don't think they'll add more than one support for the summon archetype. I know everyone wants to think that they'll release more, but if we're goin by their track record, that hasn't really been the case. The only time a 5 star got a new upgrade/alternative is bronya -> sparkle, but that's a standard banner character vs a limited one. They don't usually make limited characters to compete with other limited characters.
@@daijoubun6648 There literally is a Harmony character in the leaks for upcoming characters though, which I'm assuming might be a Remembrance benefitter in some capacity.
@@ZhadTheRad It's possible, but I kind of doubt it. It's not often they do that. HSR is pretty bad about having "this character is the only of its kind". I suppose with Remembrance it might be broad enough to require more than one support option, but in the past each harmony is pretty unique.
I'm just going to try 2 supper brake teams. Worst case scenario, i don't get to zero or one cycle which means nothing when I don't get extra rewards for playing META
Skipping Sunday, will pick him and his sig up on rerun. Getting ff and fugue instead (no sig LC for either and I already have RM); Maybe will go for the herta when she’s out as well, but I don’t have Jade … so maybe not! Might consider new summon meta eventually. I don’t have a break team right now.
I returned to the game last week after a hiatus. I am playing DoT as my main team and have missed most of the super break characters so would that mean I should go for Sunday and skip Firefly? Skipping a tier 0 char feels weird.
Firefly is only tier 0 with HMC or Fugue and probably T0.5 or T1 without Ruan Mei. Break teams just need them, HMC and Fugue allows for Super Break DMG to happen, without it these teams deal no dmg, and Ruan Mei increases everything basically including breaking effectiveness and keeps enemies broken for longer which means more super breaks. If you don't plan on getting Fugue or using RMC then Firefly is not worth it, she literally won't do anything special without super breaks. Remember, characters are only as good as their supports allow them to be.
"insane luck" yeah got Feixiao (won 50/50) - same with acheron (won 50/50) lost to her light cone to get it in 40 pulls, after that pull 2x 5 star himeko light cone in 15 pulls + got sunday in 20 pulls (3 times won the 50/50 curse).
At this point I may be skipping the rest of these pulls minus Sunday . Already have plenty of break potential between Rappa Boothill and FF (FF I really like although she doesn't do as much damage as I would like for her to do.) I finally got my Acheron team and I have a couple crit teams from other updates.
Gotta be honest, I have put absolutely nothing into break effect teams, but I'm still prioritizing Fugue over Sunday. I can get Sunday in a rerun... Tingyun emotionally scarred me, and I need her back. lol After that, I'm big on Herta since I love erudition. I have to admit though... i am seriously considering trying to get a single copy of each of the three new characters.
I'll definitely be pulling on Firefly's Rerun. I've already got her at E1 so I really want another Eidolon. E2 should last me a logn while as a baseline. Sunday and Fugue maybe as well. The former just to be set for preservation (if FuA, Superbreak and Acheron all fall off) (though I'm still debating whether I shouldn't try for his forst rerun instead) and the latter so that I can replace MC. Maybe I'll have to touch my wallet but let's hope I won't have to haha.
This is just a personal opinion but if velliona comes out I want her to be a support for the existing seele no matter how niche velliona is gonna have to be
Firefly, Fugue (Ting) and Lingsha are basically a full team, with a slot that's usually taken by Ruan Mei So in your case, Fugue is worth it if you REALLY want to invest in your break team with Firefly As for Sunday, he would enable another kind of playstyle, maybe an extra team you can use. Right now the only character that really benefits from him is Jing Yuan, but in the future I presume there will be more summons that he could support, so that's only if you want to invest into the future meta
I’m locked in on Fugue just cuz I want to have 3 “dark hair in Luofu dress” girls and Firefly in the same team. I will have to skip Sunday but I don’t really care since my Break and Fua teams are already at maximum strength.
It's not her damage it's HMC and Ruan mei providing the multipliers firefly's overtuned utility can make full use of it. It's why if you use firefly outside of HMC and Ruan mei she feels awful
Summon's are hypercarry, we just gotta see what hoyo will cook with, I'm not getting Sunday because he's meta, I'm getting him because I love his' animations and character out of all the banners. Plus you NEVER skip harmonies, even though sparkle has a niche she can still be played in as a second buffer as shes the most sp generating support there is for teams that are sp negative, plus he has tingyun on his' banner and tingyun e6 is broken
I dont think it matter because all Harmonies can carry almost all teams that there is or at least enought to clear. That being said, Im going for the ice Nihility for DoT comeback🔥
He is trap, he’s still an amazing unit but he will 100% be Robin creeped like Sparkle was which is fine because Sparkle is still very good. If you like him there’s nothing to worry about unless meta is number 1 for you.
@Merlin-x1che will be good for 1 summon character to be more precise any summon unit that u would want to hyper carry. The only problem is that imo we have moved away from hyper carry, last time hyper carry was meta was 5 star Dhil and Jingliu, these days there’s always a sub dps present like topaz for follow up or basically any member of the team in a break comp.
Since Fugue is a nihility, I presume she's a viable option for her. She might enable somewhat of a break sort of playstyle for Acheron though. I'd say wait until you can try Fugue. You can try her right now in the new quest, just put your Acheron team and Fugue!
I was of the thought that rerun chars will take longer for their next rerun compared to new chars, So, went with RM & planning to go FF on rerun but now I have Rappa & when I was using both Rappa & support FF in a match against mobs, I realized that SB is super reliant on HTB (their dmg was ass without backup dancer effect), So, now I'm a lot skeptical - to everyone who wants to use SB, Fugue will be a must. As for Sunday, after getting comforted with Robin & RM, its very difficult to go back to single target buffers. This is gonna be a tough choice without any prior knowledge about future gameplay changes.
@@anibotic Sunday and Robin can be played in the same team, fun fact! That's what some Jing Yuan teams currently use. So yes, he CAN buff only a single target, but he can also have other units to help him buff. He's kinda a bit of a hypercarry support too, or at least he buffs your main damage dealer
I'm skipping Sunday because I'm assuming we'll see summon support in 3.x, especially considering we're getting Remembrance MC and a limited Remembrance character right out of the gate, and the fact that the following patch (3.1) supposedly have a new Harmony character as per leaks. I will try to get Fugue though because Break support and I have Rappa and Ruan Mei and Gallagher so I already have good units for a Break team so getting another unit that enhances it would be neat

I doubt it. It's better to wait until RMC is released to see if they're going to be like a budget version of Sunday or something. If Sparkle can't buff summons, then she's not going to fit with the new path. If so, she'd only buff the actual character and give SP
Skipping remembrance archetype.. unless there is a direct hmc replacement then I’m not dropping break for summons. I’ll be going for firefly and ruan mei eidolons instead.
@@XenogearsPS oh yeah I don't blame you at all, I did the same thing except with E0S1 Sunday. I don't even know if I'll be pulling for any summons, and only have Jing Yuan. I also have a break team that might desperately need Fugue, but I'm currently waiting to see how she performs there I'd say in both of our cases, the best bet is to see how she's going to perform upon release, it's still far too early to tell, and even her test run in the new quest doesn't necessarily tell us enough
Im probably gonna skip this patch. I have no plans to pull for remembrance atm so i can keep HMC with firefly. Im saving up for Herta as i like her more than Sunday and Tingyun. I might pull Tingyun if RMC ends up as a great support for herta or one of the new upcoming characters i like are remembrance

According to leaks, the dude that looks like Gilgamesh will allegedly scale with hp he’s also again allegedly a destruction unit. Take this information as you want nothing is set in stone.
I really really hope that the summons from what we've seen from the livestream can die. Because that way they can provide a passive buff like the 10% speed from Ruan Mei. And when the Fate Collab happens the characters aren't like normal characters you can put in any of the 4 slots for the team but instead in a 5th slot that just works with them
08:20 meanwhile genshin :') I feel like it's the forgotten middle child at this point and I can't seem to shake that feeling or understand where it's coming from.
@@Yami-mugoni613 honestly the powercreep system actually gets balanced pretty well. Diluc fell very low, but now with Xianyun he's back and better than he ever was. Furina and Xilonen give really good buffs. The dendro meta really brought a lot of characters to be good (Kuki, Keqing, etc.) And most importantly it doesn't have the awful HP inflation. At least not to the same extent as in HSR I can still clear abyss just fine with some of the much older units, and the new ones aren't that much stronger than the old ones, just different and pretty fairly balanced. The only character that seems to powercreep a lot is Neuvillette with very little setbacks, but that's about it In HSR it's an actual nightmare. Blade, Seele, Jingliu, they're all VERY much behind. Jing Yuan recently got an upgrade with Sunday and the new relics, but that's about it, nothing too crazy. DHIL is also benefitting a bit from having Sunday on his team, and I suppose Sparkle too. But overall older units just don't seem to get any better no matter how many good supports they get. Genshin is so much more chill in that sense
As someone who owns every character in HSR. Im tired. I'm gonna skip Sunday because I'm sure out of the 37 characters they revealed he'll be power crept.

The thing with Robin is that her ult had 100% AA for 4 members. Other units like Bronya and Sparkle fit Sunday’s kit, but there isn’t really another Robin. That’s why Robin works in other teams because there isn’t another unit that can fit her place other than Ruan Mei, who is probably in a break team.
@kd08082 oh no i don't think he will be another robin, but he will be better than bronya and sparkle on any team you would use them while offering something robin can't, 4 actions in cycle 0 + a ridiculous amount of energy, if they release other characters with resurgence or a 100% action advance on ult like Dhil's E2, he will be their best partner
i started playing in 2.5 i have the fart team and got rappa e0 s1 / lingsha/ harmony trailblzer no rm though so dont know if i should complete the break team without rm it's hard
Make sure you have enough to pull Fugue, after that you can decide what else to invest in. You won't necessarily *need* RM when you have Fugue, especially if you go for E1, but she's still a very strong teammate for Rappa. If you do decide on going for summon meta you'll likely lose MC from that team meaning you are even more in need of Fugue. I think FART is going to stay strong enough through most of 3.X, unless they completely f the game balance with Remembrance lol.
I run 2 accounts one that I been playing since 1.0 and one I picked up in 2.0 but mainly 2.6. I got Rappa I dont got ruan mei or lingsha. I think Rappa is Fine Without ruan mei If you can get her Its great. If not you can run characters like 4* tingyun for the energy to make up a lil bit of the down time. I do reccomend fugue just so you have the ability to use RMC or HMC rather than being locked into one. My overall Suggestion would be have 3 archetypes. Fua Which you have Super Break which you are working on, Then do Either Rememberance or something else. Ruan mei will probably become more required as 3.0 goes on and her rerun may be sooner or later. Since her last run was 2.3 so if we look at seele (whos last rerun was 1.4) that can be anything from now until whenever. So dont funnel yourself but Be aware of what teams you enjoy

I doubt these collab characters will be stronger than the HSR-universe characters. imho, ideally they would be a special case of the Summon playstyle, with just a little something that makes them a different flavor and so that they do not compete directly against the regulars.
Fate collab is likely Rememberance tho, given the entire concept seems made for the master/servant system of Fate

It's crazy how fast the meta cycles, to the point where getting Firefly 5 months after release is considered very late. Everything moves so fast, in a blink of an eye a character goes from must pull to disregardable. This dps problem which stems from them needing to shit out new shinier gimmicks every couple months to maximize cashgrabs is starting to get tiring. Which won't be a real problem if it weren't for the artificial difficulty they put on newer enemies with the hp inflation.
I ran some numbers on this, and HSR releases new characters about twice as quickly as Genshin, and four times as quickly as HI3rd. It's... kind of insane

@@pinkpanda187 If you have Ruan Mei right now, then yes super worth it since superbreak is still gonna be strong even when the summon meta comes around (unless you already have a superbreak dps). It's just gonna be sidelined a bit with the endgame catering harder towards newer units which is always the case.
If not, then pulling her is still nice but not adviceable per se, since it's unclear when RM will rerun. And with Sunday + Summon Dpses around the corner, it makes more sense to target them for instant value for an account, with their releases aligning.

Fugue is tricky since her value hinges on how important Remembrance MC will be for teams of the next archetype. She's def the better short term value pull compared to Sunday though.
So either ignore remembrance and get neither Sunday or Fugue or start investing in remembrance and you need both Sunday day and Fugue if you want to keep your break team.

You don't need Sunday for Break, Sunday is for the Summons Team. It's either Pull Sunday for a future investment or grab Fugue to keep your Break team while using the new Remembrance MC.
@ You don’t need Sunday for break but you do need Trailblazer and if Trailblazer defects to Remembrance team then you suddenly need Fugue for break. So if you want to do Remembrance then you should get Sunday and with it taking Trailblazer away from Break you should get Fugue too. If you don’t want to do Remembrance then you don’t need Sunday and since Trailblazer can remain with Break you don’t need Fugue either. So either get neither or get both.

Riiight, they give us usable free characters and then let us use their different versions at the same time.... It's a gatcha game! They want you to pull for the banner characters. So they give you free character you can use with the new superbreak mains. Oh, okay, now you will get other team mates for this setup. And now, that you have all the members, but one of them is threatened to be switched out, the give you the subsitute - Fugue. How would it worth for them to let you use multiple versions of these charaters? I'm not sure they'll let Herta and The Herta be on the same team and those are physically different in lore.

3:51 as much as I love Honkai, this is something that concerns me. With so many 5 stars, collecting all of them is gonna be really difficult, especially for busy people or people who aren’t willing to spend money on the game. And I don’t know if Hoyoverse intends to always rerun characters time and time again. Correct me if I’m wrong, but after the game launched, Seele got one rerun last October, and hasn’t been rerun since. So, is she just lost to new players? When does Hoyo intend to rerun her? I was lucky enough to pull Acheron yesterday 3 days before the end of her banner, but others may never get the chance to pull these characters if Hoyo doesn’t intend to keep rerunning their characters

@@taoboyce6412 Something even more important is how that works. When he uses skill on ult buff character, he doesn't just not use skill points, but rather he uses it but gets the sp refunded.
Pretty significant difference because it means he can fully utilize sparkle lc, as the sp refund will proc the lc buff

If summon is just an additional for Remembrance, then it can be that the abilities of these summons can be:
1. A buffer for the summoner
2. An additional attacker for the summoner.
3. A defensive unit for the summoner.
But if we based it on Lingsha type of summon.. Then we can be expecting summons that are:
1. FUA
2. DOT
3. Damage dealers
4. Breakers
If they don't do a thing or two about Super Breaks.. Then we can say that summons later on will still have super break capabilities..

The biggest problem with our generals kit was the locked in speed of lightning Lord and it's vulnerability to CC. Sunday literally erases the problem with frequency of attacks and lowers the chance of CC getting in the way. Pair him aventurine for the effect res and now you get a cure to his kit. You'll have less stacks built with each hit but going 3 times per turn (with high speed sunday) makes up for missing one giant hit, especially once you factor in gear effects stacking. Sunday and fugue are must pulls if you want maximum flexibility going forward. Remember DPS come and go, supports last at least a year+, hell even sparkle is looking like a return to main teams is coming. I just wish they would add a 5th combat slot to really shake up team building

-1 spd build for Sunday is the way to go
I've long thought that the game needed a bigger party. Solo sustain Aventurine ameliorated that a bit, but sometimes it's hard to pack in all you want to with 4 slots and hyperspecialized units.
Biggest thing for me is making builds easier. One major reason I kinda fell off Star Rail is cause im just so insanely unlucky when it comes to relics, so any form of streamlining the building process is a W for me
I will not make the same mistake again I did in 1.6. I have waited for sunday release since he was first revealed. I am garauntee him and his lightcone, and I am hoping for E1. Then I am pulling for Aglaea. The summon playstyle is something i want to get into and what star rail is heading towards
I personally think this game is progressing far too fast. They keep throwing new characters at us all of them being pretty good to top tier making us feel like we have to pull on every banner. Coupled with the power creep and the re running of best in slot characters together (ruan Mei and firefly, fugue and firefly, Sunday and jing yuan, robin and feixiao, Kafka and swan, etc.) makes this game kind of exhausting to play and keep up with as f2p in addition to making me question the longevity of it. At this rate I believe we will reach this point (much faster than we should) where tons of characters are just collecting dust forgotten while the meta fluctuates too quickly making it difficult for everyone who doesn’t spend. What can they do to solve the excess character issue? Run five banners at once? At this rate the characters are being pumped out, how are version 1 (and 2 in the future) characters going to rerun? Though at that point they will have no meta relevance whatsoever, there will be players who wish to have them for collectors sake. It’s already happening, characters are already going missing and the games only been out for what? A year and a half? When was the last time we’ve seen Seele? Or silver wolf? I think they should just take a step back and slow down the pace for a bit. Whether it’s practical or not, I don’t know but I certainly wish they’d do that.

I'm just gonna shotgun pull for every new banner character. The reason why I can get away with that is because I have 3 teams already built -> FuA, Super break, DoTcheron. If I get any of the new units it'll be a boost to any of my current teams or the upcoming rememberance team. With that in mind, I'll most likely end up getting Sunday and The Herta just cause of how my pull luck has been.

1:45 i was talking about that in another comment section a few days ago. i always feel like i NEVER have enough pulls for what i want, even tho i play the game everyday and cleared pretty much all the end game content. i figured out it's bc there's too many characters, ofc you can't get everything you want... i also think this mechanics of focusing in different types of gameplay in different versions doesn't help much, it feels like you always have to be pulling because your characters are left behind very quickly :'). I hope it gets better for my account as the game gets older
I'm a big Sunday fan, sitting here with his E1S1- and it's kinda funny I'm doing things in reverse, like I didn't pull him for summon meta but now because I *have* him and want him to shine, I *will* be pulling for at least some remembrance characters XD that was probably hoyo's plan all along (since he's been such an anticipated character) and they totally got me lmao

Im looking at this from my Male only Challenge perspective. males miss are as patch lands are Jing Yuan (first banner miss cause want play on playstation and not have extremely warm phone in hand , 2nd banner had make Choice of Him or Luocha and Adventurine to increase my sustains options.) And Sunday. So Sunday be my Priority since leak remembrance MC. Then see if swing get Jing Yuan since i see 3.0 be two female 5 Star so for Challenge account they arent being in consideration.

afaik, she does not fit into any particular playstyle like Break, DoT, FuA, Debuff, HP drinking, Summon... She might be just herself and that could mean that her kit is really strong to be relevant regardless.

If you don't play break and thus don't need harmony TB, Sunday + remembrance TB will pair very well with Aglaea. With the 3.0 patch giving a lot of jades it's pretty feasible for an F2P to pull Sunday and Aglaea and pretty much instantly have a new (likely top tier) comp.
I'm already locking into superbreak late. I mainly just play e1s1 acheron and only somewhat recently decided to work on crafting boothill superbreak. Sadly I don't have ruan mei

Question… is Fugue a good value pull for Boothill who is break but not super break? I have E0S1 Boothill, E0S0 RM, E6 Gallagher, E0S1 Bronya(replacing her with Sunday). I don’t use HMC at all on team Boothill, and I don’t have Firefly or Rappa. But very interested in the summon characters. I also am not crazy about Fugue’s design but will get her if she adds a lot of value for Boothill.
Boothill is the absolute winner when it comes to Fugue. If he's your Break unit - she's a must pull.
Rappa and FF don't get nearly as much benefit from her as Boothill, if you get her E1, you can even ditch Ruan Mei.

If you dont want to go all in on a meta you dont have to. As long as you have decent builds and flexible team comps you will be fine. In v1 I didnt get Bronya until the 300 selector and skipped DHIL and Jingliu, still full cleared. In V2 I skipped Firefly, Boothill, Feixiao, Aventurine and lost the 50/50 on Robin both times but still full cleared. I wasnt doing 0-2 cycles like everyone else, but three stars is three stars.
I've alrready decided to pull for Firefly next. I already have Sunday (3rd multi) and Jing Yuan (2nd multi)
I'm going to test my luck and try to get both Sunday and Fugue, and if I somehow manage to have enough pulls before the banners end I'll go for Firefly's LC

It finally hit me that by making HMC good, it incentivizes pulling for a limited to replace them if RMC is also good, which means there's an incentive for them to make RMC good. They found a way to make making the free MC good profitable. Honestly, good on them it's about time.
I have a question that maybe somebody on here can answer for me. I just recently started playing Honkai star rail, and I’m now at the part where it’s the Luofu Alliance section. And I have the option to change my main character from preservation to harmony, however, obviously story wise I would not have been a harmony yet. Should I continue playing this section of the story as preservation and ignore harmony or should I just start investing in playing as harmony? It feels kind of weird to skip ahead and use this path without it having happened story wise but what do others think?
Use your HMC. The story is unrelated to the gameplay/combat.
You are probably using Belobog characters in Luofu anyway.

I kind of doubt it. Considering RM is THE break support, and Robin is THE follow up support, I don't think they'll add more than one support for the summon archetype. I know everyone wants to think that they'll release more, but if we're goin by their track record, that hasn't really been the case. The only time a 5 star got a new upgrade/alternative is bronya -> sparkle, but that's a standard banner character vs a limited one. They don't usually make limited characters to compete with other limited characters.

@@ZhadTheRad It's possible, but I kind of doubt it. It's not often they do that. HSR is pretty bad about having "this character is the only of its kind". I suppose with Remembrance it might be broad enough to require more than one support option, but in the past each harmony is pretty unique.

Getting ff and fugue instead (no sig LC for either and I already have RM); Maybe will go for the herta when she’s out as well, but I don’t have Jade … so maybe not! I returned to the game last week after a hiatus. I am playing DoT as my main team and have missed most of the super break characters so would that mean I should go for Sunday and skip Firefly? Skipping a tier 0 char feels weird.
Firefly is only tier 0 with HMC or Fugue and probably T0.5 or T1 without Ruan Mei. Break teams just need them, HMC and Fugue allows for Super Break DMG to happen, without it these teams deal no dmg, and Ruan Mei increases everything basically including breaking effectiveness and keeps enemies broken for longer which means more super breaks. If you don't plan on getting Fugue or using RMC then Firefly is not worth it, she literally won't do anything special without super breaks. Remember, characters are only as good as their supports allow them to be.
"insane luck" yeah got Feixiao (won 50/50) - same with acheron (won 50/50) lost to her light cone to get it in 40 pulls, after that pull 2x 5 star himeko light cone in 15 pulls + got sunday in 20 pulls (3 times won the 50/50 curse).
At this point I may be skipping the rest of these pulls minus Sunday . Already have plenty of break potential between Rappa Boothill and FF (FF I really like although she doesn't do as much damage as I would like for her to do.) I finally got my Acheron team and I have a couple crit teams from other updates.

I'll definitely be pulling on Firefly's Rerun. I've already got her at E1 so I really want another Eidolon. E2 should last me a logn while as a baseline. Sunday and Fugue maybe as well. The former just to be set for preservation (if FuA, Superbreak and Acheron all fall off) (though I'm still debating whether I shouldn't try for his forst rerun instead) and the latter so that I can replace MC. Maybe I'll have to touch my wallet but let's hope I won't have to haha.

Trailblazer is the 4 star, in 2.0 the only 4 star we got was Misha. Galager didn't come out until 2.1, so we'll probably get a new 4 star in 3.1.

And you basically need Fugue if you're planning to switch trailblazer to new rememberence path
Firefly, Fugue (Ting) and Lingsha are basically a full team, with a slot that's usually taken by Ruan Mei
So in your case, Fugue is worth it if you REALLY want to invest in your break team with Firefly
As for Sunday, he would enable another kind of playstyle, maybe an extra team you can use. Right now the only character that really benefits from him is Jing Yuan, but in the future I presume there will be more summons that he could support, so that's only if you want to invest into the future meta

It's not her damage it's HMC and Ruan mei providing the multipliers firefly's overtuned utility can make full use of it. It's why if you use firefly outside of HMC and Ruan mei she feels awful

Summon's are hypercarry, we just gotta see what hoyo will cook with, I'm not getting Sunday because he's meta, I'm getting him because I love his' animations and character out of all the banners. Plus you NEVER skip harmonies, even though sparkle has a niche she can still be played in as a second buffer as shes the most sp generating support there is for teams that are sp negative, plus he has tingyun on his' banner and tingyun e6 is broken
I dont think it matter because all Harmonies can carry almost all teams that there is or at least enought to clear. That being said, Im going for the ice Nihility for DoT comeback🔥

He is trap, he’s still an amazing unit but he will 100% be Robin creeped like Sparkle was which is fine because Sparkle is still very good. If you like him there’s nothing to worry about unless meta is number 1 for you.
@Merlin-x1che will be good for 1 summon character to be more precise any summon unit that u would want to hyper carry. The only problem is that imo we have moved away from hyper carry, last time hyper carry was meta was 5 star Dhil and Jingliu, these days there’s always a sub dps present like topaz for follow up or basically any member of the team in a break comp.

Guys I'm new to the game and just got Acheron. Would Fugue be good for her?
Since Fugue is a nihility, I presume she's a viable option for her. She might enable somewhat of a break sort of playstyle for Acheron though. I'd say wait until you can try Fugue. You can try her right now in the new quest, just put your Acheron team and Fugue!
I was of the thought that rerun chars will take longer for their next rerun compared to new chars, So, went with RM & planning to go FF on rerun but now I have Rappa & when I was using both Rappa & support FF in a match against mobs, I realized that SB is super reliant on HTB (their dmg was ass without backup dancer effect), So, now I'm a lot skeptical - to everyone who wants to use SB, Fugue will be a must.
As for Sunday, after getting comforted with Robin & RM, its very difficult to go back to single target buffers. This is gonna be a tough choice without any prior knowledge about future gameplay changes.
@@anibotic Sunday and Robin can be played in the same team, fun fact! That's what some Jing Yuan teams currently use. So yes, he CAN buff only a single target, but he can also have other units to help him buff. He's kinda a bit of a hypercarry support too, or at least he buffs your main damage dealer
I'm skipping Sunday because I'm assuming we'll see summon support in 3.x, especially considering we're getting Remembrance MC and a limited Remembrance character right out of the gate, and the fact that the following patch (3.1) supposedly have a new Harmony character as per leaks.
I will try to get Fugue though because Break support and I have Rappa and Ruan Mei and Gallagher so I already have good units for a Break team so getting another unit that enhances it would be neat

I doubt it. It's better to wait until RMC is released to see if they're going to be like a budget version of Sunday or something. If Sparkle can't buff summons, then she's not going to fit with the new path. If so, she'd only buff the actual character and give SP
Skipping remembrance archetype.. unless there is a direct hmc replacement then I’m not dropping break for summons. I’ll be going for firefly and ruan mei eidolons instead.

@@XenogearsPS oh yeah I don't blame you at all, I did the same thing except with E0S1 Sunday. I don't even know if I'll be pulling for any summons, and only have Jing Yuan. I also have a break team that might desperately need Fugue, but I'm currently waiting to see how she performs there
I'd say in both of our cases, the best bet is to see how she's going to perform upon release, it's still far too early to tell, and even her test run in the new quest doesn't necessarily tell us enough
Im probably gonna skip this patch. I have no plans to pull for remembrance atm so i can keep HMC with firefly. Im saving up for Herta as i like her more than Sunday and Tingyun. I might pull Tingyun if RMC ends up as a great support for herta or one of the new upcoming characters i like are remembrance

According to leaks, the dude that looks like Gilgamesh will allegedly scale with hp he’s also again allegedly a destruction unit. Take this information as you want nothing is set in stone.

I really really hope that the summons from what we've seen from the livestream can die.
Because that way they can provide a passive buff like the 10% speed from Ruan Mei.
And when the Fate Collab happens the characters aren't like normal characters you can put in any of the 4 slots for the team but instead in a 5th slot that just works with them

Eh its just doesn't like Endgame since it's more casual but it has a healthier powercreep system
@@Yami-mugoni613 honestly the powercreep system actually gets balanced pretty well. Diluc fell very low, but now with Xianyun he's back and better than he ever was. Furina and Xilonen give really good buffs. The dendro meta really brought a lot of characters to be good (Kuki, Keqing, etc.)
And most importantly it doesn't have the awful HP inflation. At least not to the same extent as in HSR
I can still clear abyss just fine with some of the much older units, and the new ones aren't that much stronger than the old ones, just different and pretty fairly balanced. The only character that seems to powercreep a lot is Neuvillette with very little setbacks, but that's about it
In HSR it's an actual nightmare. Blade, Seele, Jingliu, they're all VERY much behind. Jing Yuan recently got an upgrade with Sunday and the new relics, but that's about it, nothing too crazy. DHIL is also benefitting a bit from having Sunday on his team, and I suppose Sparkle too. But overall older units just don't seem to get any better no matter how many good supports they get. Genshin is so much more chill in that sense

The thing with Robin is that her ult had 100% AA for 4 members. Other units like Bronya and Sparkle fit Sunday’s kit, but there isn’t really another Robin. That’s why Robin works in other teams because there isn’t another unit that can fit her place other than Ruan Mei, who is probably in a break team.
@kd08082 oh no i don't think he will be another robin, but he will be better than bronya and sparkle on any team you would use them while offering something robin can't, 4 actions in cycle 0 + a ridiculous amount of energy, if they release other characters with resurgence or a 100% action advance on ult like Dhil's E2, he will be their best partner

i started playing in 2.5 i have the fart team and got rappa e0 s1 / lingsha/ harmony trailblzer no rm though so dont know if i should complete the break team without rm it's hard

Make sure you have enough to pull Fugue, after that you can decide what else to invest in. You won't necessarily *need* RM when you have Fugue, especially if you go for E1, but she's still a very strong teammate for Rappa. If you do decide on going for summon meta you'll likely lose MC from that team meaning you are even more in need of Fugue. I think FART is going to stay strong enough through most of 3.X, unless they completely f the game balance with Remembrance lol.
I run 2 accounts one that I been playing since 1.0 and one I picked up in 2.0 but mainly 2.6. I got Rappa I dont got ruan mei or lingsha. I think Rappa is Fine Without ruan mei If you can get her Its great. If not you can run characters like 4* tingyun for the energy to make up a lil bit of the down time. I do reccomend fugue just so you have the ability to use RMC or HMC rather than being locked into one. My overall Suggestion would be have 3 archetypes. Fua Which you have Super Break which you are working on, Then do Either Rememberance or something else. Ruan mei will probably become more required as 3.0 goes on and her rerun may be sooner or later. Since her last run was 2.3 so if we look at seele (whos last rerun was 1.4) that can be anything from now until whenever. So dont funnel yourself but Be aware of what teams you enjoy
