Hi Jessica! I just wanted to thank you..this tutorial was super duper helpful and it was a pleasure watching you! Thank you so so much! I feel more confident with Zoom now. ❤
Hi Jessica!!! For some reason your video appeared in my feed but it was a nice surprise!! I’m Eduardo Salas and we met at the Take the Lead training!! Gusto en verte!!! Saludos desde Tijuana!
Thank you for your video I found this extremely helpful!! Note: the mic technically should not be an issue for Zumba as they always promote NON Verbal cueing. You do not need a mic with Zumba.
Far by the best tutorial I have seen, no messing and straight to the point. I have one question though, I will be using my sons laptop so my Zumba music isn't downloaded on it. Can I use a separate sound system to play my music, ie a blootooth sound system, will there be a delay on the participants side?
Very nice presentation of technical content. How do you play and control the music from computer playlist while you run the device camera? Never used Zoom before for a live class and trying to figure it out.
If im using the free version of 40 mins... If i share that meeting id with students and after 40 mins can they login again with same meeting ID or I have to create different ID for next 40 mins
The music works great but they can’t hear me for my instruction. I have a headset connected but the headset and music doesn’t seem to sync together. It’s so frustrating.
White Hat Production so what are the settings. I’ve connected my mic. I have shared my computer sound. But the music overpowers my wireless mic. I’ve been told I need to buy a mixer in order to have music and mic work simultaneously. Do you know a way without buying a mixer? If so can you do a video of instructions.
Yes. The free version only has 45 minutes and that's not great considering you need to chat at the beginning/end of your classes. Just the $16 p/mo is ok while we get used to ZIN Studio.
I have tried this and also bought some expensive wireless headphones with built-in microphone, but my students all said the music was too loud (even when I had it turned down so low, I couldn't actually hear it in my headphones) and they couldn't hear my voice. When I tried it without headphones, just the computer audio, they couldn't hear my voice. This was for yoga, but I also teach dance, so after watching scores of videos, I still haven't found a solution that does not involve buying a mixer and some kind of wireless headphones &/or microphone. Have you got any helpful suggestions?
clarity probably has to do with internet connection. Make sure everyone is OFF wifi and you are connected directly to the ethernet cable. For sound using iTunes + Share computer settings is your best bet ;)
Hi! Thank you for such an explanatory video. It will make it easier for me to set my virtual class. Do you know if participants can have their cameras on or if this can affect the quality of the session? Is it better to ask them to close their cameras during the class?
Lot’s had changed since then but you can get paid for your class via Venmo, Zelle or PayPal if you’re just starting out. Use a booking system if you have an established fitness business.
I am used to teaching with mirrors. (I know - not recommended in Zumba lol). Is there a way to flip the video so I am mirroring them when they watch me? (I know I can do it on my own view - but it is not like that when I record myself.). ugh.
Great video. I do have some notes to add for all our education. Audio: music from device is good but if you want to also scream and "huh!" during class there is an audio option called "use original sound". Go to settings>meeting>enable original sound. This will cancel zooms built in noise cancelation. But that is only the 1st step. Once you start the meeting, you have to turn that option on. Click the 3 dots and you will see the option to turn it on. If you're on an apple device you will need to do this each time you start your meeting. Desktop version may have it already on but best to always check. Next setting is "mute on entry" this will auto mute people who come late to class. You also already needed to have started your meeting. 3 dots>meeting settings. Again, on an apple device you need to do this for every class. The setting does not stay. Note that the settings and how they behave are different between apple, Android and desktop. Just know that they are there and test for yourself how they function on your device. Also, if you use multiple devices, the settings do NOT carryover. You need to do whatever settings you want on each device you use. Next the mirror option that was mentioned. Unfortunately this mirrors only your view and not the students. It doesn't make sense to mirror your view as now you're seeing yourself backwards. I have had to learn how to lead with my left lol.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. My computer video is so bad. I wish I could to the same thing with my iphone but when I try and play my music as you would do in your instruction here it doesn't work on the phone. Any idea?
has anyone had a problem with when sharing audio the teacher is hearing the music about 3 seconds before the class making her dance steps three seconds ahead of the music for the viewers?
that might be your internet connection. You can connect your ethernet cable directly to your computer + ask everyone in your household to refrain from using wifi during your class.
There is a lot of information out there it can be daunting. I like to find ONE person I connect with and then I just ask them for questions. Otherwise I get overwhelmed easily.
You saved my life, thank u 😅❤ most clear zoom explanation ever

Do a test with 1-2 peeps so you get the hang of it. You don't really need to do anything with the camera OR your playlist once you start your class.
Ahora será Zoom..ba 🙂👍
sip, así le llaman ya ZOOMBA
Thank you so much- just what I needed. You are so fun and bubbly❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, that's sweet of you. Glad it helped.

Thank you so much. Very informative.
Can u pls help me with how do I get my ZIN Play app on my MAC.
Yeah, I have the same problem Judy C. has. I've even tried using an audio splitter, but that's messes up the sound even more.
Thanks so much! So grateful!
I found the music wasn’t loud enough on my end. Any suggestions?
Thank you for the tutorial. Much helpful.
The music works great but they can’t hear me for my instruction. I have a headset connected but the headset and music doesn’t seem to sync together. It’s so frustrating.
Mic setup has different audio settings.

What subscription do you recommend? Is the Zoom Pro package enough?
Yes. The free version only has 45 minutes and that's not great considering you need to chat at the beginning/end of your classes. Just the $16 p/mo is ok while we get used to ZIN Studio.
Thankx for sharing i think its easy like video session. can you do by ph? i think yes.

It helps with the buffering to have their video off but it's not like a big difference.
How do you get paid for your Zumba class from participants?

Jen S. Nop. Just teach starting with your right foot like you would normally teach.
Yes! In your settings, go to Video and check the Mirror My Video box

Elizabeth Kreck sadly it doesn’t work well with phone/tablet.
Has a host, zoom doesn't have the same capabilities on mobile than on desktop. Sorry ;(

that might be your internet connection. You can connect your ethernet cable directly to your computer + ask everyone in your household to refrain from using wifi during your class.
Ask your particpants to diconnect + re-connect their Wifi and it should synchronize. They might have to do it several times during the class
I been watching another tutorials so confusing
