One thing I found: If the latency of input annoys you (like when playing a fast paced game), just leave the laptop/PC screen, and use your default TV etc hooked up to your PS4. There is 0 latency, and works and it should ;) Me too I place my laptop in front of me with the camera/mic/lighting, and still watch my TV screen when playing.
i still get latency lag on my ps4 im not sure why. I have my controller connected to my laptop. could it be that im not using an ethernet cable on my laptop?

The ps remote sucks. I try connect my controller back to ps4 and it loses connection on PC, I try connect controller to PC to play ps remote but the controller won't work for it.

It's not optimal to as you won't know if anything's gone wrong like the PS4 disconnecting (which shouldn't happen if you are directly connected to the router via pc and PS4) but other than that you essentially are playing through your PS4, you are just streaming it to your pc screen, so as long as your PS4 is connected to a TV yes you can play through your PS4 dood. I haven't tested it out myself yet but if this guy's video is any indication as long as you are in a party with someone using a mic on your headset people should be able to hear you, this could be a good thing if you wanna share play with that person (who may be far away) as a secondary person to talk to during LP's or you could just ask that person to start a party with you while they are playing and ask them not to put a headset on, hopefully when I test it I can get it to do all that anyway but I hope this helped if you haven't already done it yourself dood.

I wanted to purchase a laptop that would strictly just be used for obs streaming. I won’t be gaming on it or anything. Just want to stream my PS4 gameplay onto a laptop so that I can run obs. I have very high quality internet (1,000 upload 1,000 download. Verizon Fios. ). I am nice and close to my router so I can directly connect a cable to my PS4 and my laptop so I won’t need to rely on any WiFi. Any recommendations on a laptop? I’m looking to spend 400-600 at most Also, would I be able to hear the audio for alerts AND hear my gameplay audio through the same mic? (I am using an Astro a50 with the mixamp).
