I am just getting back into the street bike game after a 20 year break. In 2024, the 600RR was the only choice for me. Regardless of CCs, the 600RR is easily the best looking supersport/superbike bike on the sales floor. Dual headlights, UNDERTAIL EXHAUST, Honda RIDE RED colors, black swingarm, black frame, gold upside down forks, and the 12-spoke wheels are easily the best looking wheels out there. Honda CBR600s have a history of: -- being the easiest bikes to ride fast as they are very forgiving bikes. -- ultra reliable. CBRs can easily go 100k miles, and there is even a CBR 600 out there that reached 300k. -- the easiest bikes to work on -- the bikes to hold up in a crash the best In addition, with a 12 year run (2013-2024), we know there is a lot of aftermarket support and spare parts available. The 2024 600RR has the same engine since 2007, which means the insides have a 17 year run. I myself love it how the 2024 600RR in the USA, is the exact same bike as the 2013-2023 600rr's, because I think these bikes look the best. I am not a big fan of the looks of the newer Gen-6 600RR, don't like the way the headlights look, and don't like the winglets. I also do NOT like all the extra fancy doo-dads the Gen-6 600RR has. When it comes to Supersport or Superbike Motorcycles, I am old school. I like to keep it simple. I can't ever see myself having a bike with a digital tachometer and has an Ipad for the "dashboard". I also don't need ABS, traction control, quick shifters, slipper clutches, and multiple ride modes. Simple also means less likely to break, because the more doo-dads a bike has, the more likely one of those doo-dads is likely to break. I also considered an R1 and CBR1000RR, but Liter Bikes are kinda boring to ride on the street and on the track. You can just leave them in 2nd gear and can keep the revs low. Heck, with a Liter Bike, you can even be 2 gears to high and still properly power out of a turn, no way with a 600 you can do that. With 600s, you have to wind up the motor to like 9k rpm or above to get them moving. I just love the way we have to wind up the 600 engine to get it to work. All the power numbers people brag about are really insignificant, even on the race track all that power is mostly insignificant as there are few guys who can beat me with a more powerful bike. I use to race these things, and I will tell you it is always 99% rider. I use to get trophies racing in the 1000cc class with my 600s (both F4, and a couple of R6s). My advice is BUY THE BIKE that YOU THINK LOOKS THE BEST! and like I said above and will say again, the CBR 600RR is easily the best looking superbike and supersport bike on the sales floor. Dual headlights, UNDERTAIL EXHAUST, Honda Red Ride colors, black swingarm, black frame, gold upside down forks, and the 12-spoke wheels are easily the best looking wheels out there.
I think this is the sexiest looking year hands down. I love the straight lines and razor sharp edges and that nose looks like a pissed off animal. I picked up a set of trac star clip ons to bring it up an inch and now I can really put some miles down. I wreck liter bikes in the corners all day (rider mod), and have taken down many R6’s from a roll. Haven’t tried one from a dig. This year has a throwback feel to the original and that 2003 600 was my dream bike for a lot of years. With the toce and no baffles, she sounds like an F1 car. Just pure music to my ears. And absolute nastiness. Not to mention, it’s a pure supersport. No ABS BS, no rider modes, lean angle sensors etc. it’s meant for men. Not bitches who couldn’t wreck their bikes if they tried. 😂😂
@@itsmeericb Agreed. Yamaha always had sharp lines. The previous gen (7th), and the one you have are my two favorites. I’ve always been a form over function kind of guy. All these bikes are only as fast as the rider. I’d venture to say the vast majority of riders do not ride a 600 supersport to its potential. And very very few (basically moto gp guys), ride liter bikes to their full potential. So for me, I buy what is reliable and looks the best to me. People say Hondas are slow. Ok. Well let’s take that 600 Honda and another dudes liter bike in the twisties and I bet I’ll smoke most of them. One because I love the rush of pushing my bikes to the edge and two, I’m old af and have been riding a lot of years. Don’t see too many 44 year old dudes still running around on super sports. Either they’re too broke down from previous wrecks or they dead. Soooo many friends of mine are gone. It’s hard for me to get close to people now because of it. Price we pay to play.
I told you, you would like it.. lol. Once tuned correctly, the bench HP comes back, mine is dyno at 115hp. You are correct about the brakes, but once you upgrade the lines and pads it’s better, hey they don’t call it stock for no reason.. lol.
Are the US versions somehow restricted? The European version comes with 121ps stock! The new Fireblade also seems to have less power in it‘s US version, EU has 217,6ps stock.
The CBR600RR needs velocity stack upgrades, with motomax stacks it continues to make power right until redline. With the stock stacks, the CBR kind of plateau’s 12.5k then starts to drop at 15.5k redline. To put into perspective, at 15,000 rpm with motomax stacks the CBR600RR makes 112 whp, up from 86 whp at that RPM with the stock ones. That’s 26 whp up top, makes it keep pulling right to redline and fast in those high rpm pulls. I can send dyno sheets to anyone who wants to see the gains at those higher rpm’s.
I had a Ducati 848 and it was not fun in the city at all. Your hands hit the fairing when turning and it feels like it will bog down at low traffic speeds. Not to mention the mirrors were useless😆. Definitely a track bike. So my questions are, how is the turning radius on the CBR600rr? Can you make a U turn? How are the mirrors? Can you see Police coming up from behind? hello brother, can you give me a link with the side crash pads, I'm looking to buy and can't find it do you have any idea how they are mounted? do I have to drill the side panel?
It's not ugly at all. The Suzuki and Kawasaki are ugly . The R6 is best and CBR is up there. The tail exhaust causes 0 heat issues even with the heat shields removed. Once I saw one of these bikes up close with good color ways I was like wow that's a moto gp style bike and it's not lacking power but the gixxster 600 is that's why people ride 750s
Man you're crazy, the cbr is the ugly duckling of them all, the 07 was the beat looking one. And the R6 may have a slight edge in the looks, but nothing comes close to a zx6r in terms of bang for buck, not to mention kawi the only one out here who haven't killed the 600 they must be selling strong still. The cbr don't even have a gear indicator i mean come on now. That 1 kawi video got more views than your r6 videos combined that's saying a lot.
Yeah but it all comes down to personal preference. I think the R6 looks the best and I still think the CBR and R6 in terms of handling are better suited for the track. The Kawi wins in in comfort, power and features. I’m just not a big Kawasaki fan. 😄
@@itsmeericb 90% of buyers don't buy them for tracks, like i said Nothing touches kawi, they know what people want on the road. The R6 has always been the same bike yet yamaha wanna take your money like is a brand new bike all around when is just a facelift. And no way in hell worth 2k more than the kawi. Now i do love the looks of the R6 not gonna go and say is not, but don't say the CBR is the second best looking, the bike is slow, and lacks many features. Not to mention everyone hates how the new one's look. The ZX6R is the best all around bike and is still around till this day for a reason.
@@luigynkaren062011 That is true, most people will be riding these bikes on the street. Completely your opinion but I don’t think Kawi “the best”. Every bike has their strengths and weaknesses. I will agree on being a good bang for the buck for the street.
@@luigynkaren062011 kawi 636 is a good stunt bike too, the cbr 600 just looks sexier man, that under tail exhaust is just beautiful. The new redesign cbr 600rr that’s only sold in Japan is 100% way better than the r6 and kawi in both looks and features.

Once I saw one of these bikes up close with good color ways I was like wow that's a moto gp style bike and it's not lacking power but the gixxster 600 is that's why people ride 750s

A supersport bike that does not even have a Gear Indicator 🤣
Slipper clutch too.😂
Man you're crazy, the cbr is the ugly duckling of them all, the 07 was the beat looking one.
Lol 😂 should of got a R6
Owner is clearly a big Hillary fan...wild.
