All three sisters can take turns singing lead. The drummer Pau is a secondary lead singer and DRUMEO’s Best Rock Drummer of 2023. Eldest sister and guitarist Dany is the main lead singer. The song Dust to Dust is the opening song to a rock opera album Queen of the Murder Scene which they wrote when they were barely in their teens. The youngest sister, bassist Ale gets major credit in the creation of this song when she was just 11 or 12 years old. She just turned 20 and is affectionately called the ‘Thunder Goddess’! The album tells a grim story of a woman’s (the Queen) obsession that leads to madness and murder. During the breakdown you hear a prerecorded track of a Spanish sermon. In the original performances when they were younger, their manager Rudy joined them on stage as a preacher to deliver that sermon to the audience! He was later replaced with that track. In the finale Dany lets out a haunting wail in one breathe while her fingers are busy on her guitar.

Ale on bass always has the low harmonies and is ultra rare that she leads on vocals. They are what us old school rockers have been missing for over 20 years. The TH-cam video that basically launched their careers was a cover of Enter Sandman when they were 14,12, and 9 years old. It went viral. After that they begin to start writing their own songs. There are so many documentaries and interviews that tell the back story. They were approached by a Canadian pop star Alessia Cara to do a reimagined version of Enter Sandman which is on Metallicas Black List album. They perform that version of the song at both Teatro Met and Pepsi Center shows. It’s a long and winding rabbit hole. So many videos. All their OMV are well produced if you want to compare live and studio versions. The energy of their live performances is hard to not love. 🤘⚡️

Nice first reaction to these three sisters from Mexico who love to rock and are badasses doing it! First time on your channel and liked the vibe and enthusiasm. TWA (The Warning Army) has already started to arrive so here is a quick summary: Dany (Daniela, Guitar/Lead singer, now 24), Pau (“Pow”, Paulina, drums and sometimes lead vocals, 22) and Ale (“Ah-ley”, Alejandra, bass and backing vocals, just turned 20). Their superpower is their live performances. They recently released a number of videos from their concert last year at the Pepsi Center CDMX (Mexico City). The video is 4k, the audio is HD and the energy is amazing. There are many options so to keep it simple, I’ll make 3 suggestions: 1 - suggest starting with the first song from the Pepsi Center concert: Disciple from the Pepsi Center - it explodes with energy. (The next song - “Z” is amazing too and has a really nice solo from Dany.) 2 - next: Hell you Call a Dream official live also from the Pepsi Center. 3 - Evolve from their MTV VMAs performance in October 2023. It’s a terrific performance and often the first original song that folks get introduced to. Their story starts with the piano at age 4 and 6 the youngest was still to young to learn the piano but she caught up eventually, there are videos of all three playing piano when very young, and video of the lead singer playing sax at a school function the bassist also played the bass. There’s no one right path down this rabbit hole, but you chose a really good starting point. The Warning Army has many sayings, one of them being “Your favorite Warning song is the last one you listened to,” but this one truly is on my all-time top 3, at least. And you picked one of Pau’s songs, as well, so you got “The drummer sings” out of your system as well.

As others have said, the drummer (Pau, pronounced as pow) does occasionally sing lead. But she is also signing backing vocals on all their other songs. The bassist can sing lead on a couple songs if Dany needs her to, but she really doesn't prefer to. But she can harmonize very well with either of her sisters, can sing quite low as well as beautiful falsetto sometimes. I've said this as a joke before, but it's actually true. You could pull up either their Teatro Metro or Pepsi Center concert, pick any song at random, react to it and enjoy it. They do not make bad songs. If you want specific recommendations, I'd say check out the Pepsi Center version of this song, as there they combined it with Dull Knives with an awesome extended outro to Dust to Dust. Also, Disciple at either Pepsi Center or Teatro Metro is an excellent choice.

“They are freakin’ good”. They sure are, this was me 6 months ago after watching “Evolve” from 2023 MTV show! Down the rabbit hole I went. The TWA will fill you in on the rest. I personally like “Z” either from Theatro or Pepsi Centre concerts, very classic rock. Both lyrically and musically the write fire songs. Dany does lead vocals (80%) and lead guitar (24), Pau (pronounced POW,) does drums, lead and backing vocals (22), The youngest Ale ( pronounced Al-lay) just turned 20 is the bass guitarist and backing vocals, has sung songs live, mainly when Dany’s voice needs a rest. Even though they are this young they have been playing as a band together for 11 Years! They have 4 Albums and an EP.
To give you an idea of how quickly they are rising, this 2022 concert was their first big solo gig, 3200 people at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City (CDMX). It took a while, but they eventually sold out and even had to add a second show, which also sold out. In 2023 they played to a sold out 8,000 capacity Pepsi Center in CDMX (full concert up on their TH-cam), and in February 2025 they will play in the 10,000 capacity National Auditorium not once, not twice, but three times in the space of one week, at the ripe old ages of 25, 23 and 20. Their next big Latin American tour (2026?) will probably include a couple of stadium gigs. Their rise has been slow but steady because they refused to sign with a label who didn't give them full control over their image and music. They crowdfunded to pay for a summer class for songwriting and performance at the Berklee School of Music in Boston (2015), followed by a solo album release in 2017 (XXI Century Blood) and a second album (2018's Queen of the Murder Scene, ages 18, 16 and 13) on which they all received professional producer credits for, in addition to their usual songwriting and arranging credits. In 2020 they finally signed with Lava Records after a 7-month courtship, but couldn't tour because of the Covid lockdown so instead they went into the studio to start their 3rd album. They finished writing and recording the album at end of 2020 when they were 20, 18 and 15, but mixing started in January 2021 and the album wasn't released until 2022 , first as an EP called "Mayday" then eventually as a full album named "Error". So to summarize, all the songs in this 2022 Teatro concert are from those first three albums, which they finished writing at the ages of 20, 18 and 15. When they performed in this 2022 Teatro concert they were only 22, 20 and 17. In a couple months (Feb 20025) when they play to 30,000 people in the National Auditorium will have just turned 25, 23 and 20. Long live the Queens!

Mostly the ones that get blocked are performances from Europe or Japan where they were guests. Places such as Wacken Open Aire and Pol'and Rock. They are on what passes for a break between tour dates now with their first scheduled shows in Mexico City in February. They have been averaging around 85 shows a year for the last few years. All over North and South America, Europe and this year they added 3 shows in Japan as well. After several years as an independent band they signed with Lava Records in 2020 and were able to do their 3rd studio album with David Bendeth as the producer even with the travel restrictions of the pandemic. Shortly afterwards they collaborated with Alessia Cara to rearrange and record a new arrangement of Enter Sandman for the Metallica Blacklist charity album celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. There is a long list of bands they have opened for or even toured with. A few of them are Muse, Foo Fighters, Halestorm, Evanescence, Eruca Sativa, Def Leppard and Three Days Grace. Live is very much their superpower.

Formed in 2013 by the Villarreal Vélez sisters: Daniela (guitar, vocals, piano), Paulina (drums, vocals, piano), and Alejandra (bass guitar, backing vocals, piano). All received training on piano and various instruments at an early age. The youngest of the three, Alejandra, selected bass guitar as her primary instrument at about age 7. The band first gained widespread notice in 2014 when, at ages 9 through 14, their TH-cam video in which they performed Metallica's "Enter Sandman" went viral among rock fans I have seen this concert and the one at the Pepsi Center when they premiered on TH-cam. TWA (The Warning Army) will be here to give you more information than you can possibly assimilate. They have two really amazing pro-shot concerts. This one at Teatro Metroplitan performed in 2022 and another done at the Pepsi Center in 2023. Both are amazing but have different flavors. I feel the Teatro Met show is better to here and get to know the songs as the mixing leaves out a lot of the crowd. The Pepsi show feels more high energy as a lot of crowd vibe is there and the mixing is more dynamic. The bass is a lot more forward in the Pepsi mix and gives it a lot more drive. Also the band had a year in between to improve and mature and it is very noticeable. Just like the difference between their 2016 TEDx performance and their 2017 TEDx. If you want to go back that far to see their journey I recommend doing them in order. They perform 3 songs at each and talk about their history and philosophy between the songs.
Yep, the Villarreal Vélez sisters from Monterrey Mexico, Daniela (Dany, guitarist/lead vocals/backing vocals) is the oldest, she'll be 25 soon, Paulina (Pau, drummer/backing vocals/lead vocals) is 22, I think, and Alejandra (bassist/backing vocals) just turned 20, she doesn't like to sing lead, but does so accasionally, when Dany is feeling under the weather. She has quite a lovely voice herself, but doesn't seem to like to be the center of attention. They've been at it since they were kids, there was two key moments I guess you could say... 1, when they played the game Rock Band and decided they wanted to become just that, a rock band, and 2, when they did a cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman, which went viral, at the ages of 9, 12, and 14. As I understand it, their dad sold his Harley Davidson so he could buy instruments for his three miracles. Their parents have been very supportive from the start, and have managed to raise three of the nicest, most talented human beings alive today. This show, Teatro Metropolitan, used to be my favorite TW performance, but the Pepsi Center 2023 show has it beat. As epic as this song is here at Teatro Metropolitan, it's even more so at the Pepsi Center, especially when you listen to it together with Dull Knives (cut better), which it flows seamlessly into. These two songs are part of Queen of the Murder Scene, a concept album they wrote as teens! Speaking of QotMS, the title track does not take any prisoners at this show. They have released four studio albums with original songs, ranging from good to great, and have done quite a few covers, so needless to say, this rabbit hole goes deep.

So many reactors know nothing about The Warning, or have gotten wrong information about these ladies so this is a brief history of the band… and remember, The Warning is almost always better live than a music video or studio recording. You cannot get the passion and stage presence of a live performance from a music video. There are some exceptions but this is the general rule. The Warning is made up of 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra Villerreal Velez. • They started early. Their parents loved all types of rock music and there was always music, or concert videos playing. They would spend Saturday evenings watching performances by Queen, AC/DC, Elton John, and many, many other bands. • In 2005 when Daniela was 5 years old and Paulina was 3, they were enrolled in music initiation classes- they loved it. Alejandra was only around 1 year old so she had to wait for her time but went through the same classes. • They all started classical piano lessons when they were between 6 and 7 years old. • In 2007 when Daniela was 7 years old their dad bought them the video game “Rock Band” and they completely fell in love with playing it. Dany played the guitar, Paulina was 5 and playing the drums, and Alejandra (being only 3 at the time) stood next to them and clapped along. They loved the aspect of performing on stage and dreamed of doing that. • In 2008 their dad asked Daniela if she wanted to learn another instrument (along with the piano). She chose the guitar. Around the same time Paulina chose the drums (she was 6). At that time Ale’ was still too young but when she turned 6, she wanted to play the bass but had to wait until she was 7 to be big enough to hold and play it. They then realized they could play those 3 instruments together and they began playing as a band. • In 2014 they were playing in their basement studio that their dad made (selling his Harley Davidson motorcycle to afford it) and decided to make a video for their grandparents to see how far they had progressed. The file was too big to just email so dad uploaded the video onto TH-cam and sent the grandparents the link. The video went viral and was seen by millions (well over 25 million to date) include Metallica. Kurt Hammet shouted out Paulina on the drums. Here is the 2014 Metallica Enter Sandman cover from their basement studio affectionately called “The Warning Cave”. The girls wanted to go to the prestigious Burklee College of Music to learn musical theory and more and were trying to raise the money to do so. Ellen heard this and when they were on the show, she (and Target) presented each of the girls with a check for $10,000 so they could attend. • Because Alejandra was only 10 years (well below the minimum age to attend) they sent in an audition tape to show she was capable of handling the music and classes. Pau sings lead on about 25% of the songs (either while drumming, or while at the keyboard, or just out front). Ale’ is a little shy about singing lead but steps in and sings lead when needed. All 3 can literally jump in and sing lead on any song if needed (with no drop-off in quality) and their harmonies in songs are simply amazing. • They have all given master classes on their instruments, and song writing, and performing (even at as young as 18 years old). • In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. It was a mix of different genres as they sorted out their musical style. • They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood). • They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey from desire, to love, to infatuation, to obsession, to psychotic, to murder, to remorse, and finally to suicide. It was an amazing album and was up for, and won, several Independent Music awards in 2019. • In 2021 Metallica asked 53 artists to take any of the 12 iconic songs from their Black album and do a cover (any way they wanted to) for their Black List album, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Alessia Cara (Canadian pop star) was asked to participate but had no idea what to do. Because she shares the same management group as The Warning, she contacted them for help. It was difficult to do as Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and travel with COVID was not happening. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. Because of that you will see that Alessia appears as a projection on the wall in the video as she was not there. It was recorded in an abandoned textile mill outside of Monterrey, Mexico. Lzzy Hale was so taken by the band and in particular Daniela that she presented Dany with a special Gibson Explorer guitar on stage mid-concert. The Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert was their most important concert to date, as they were playing in Mexico’s most prestigious theater, and they were the only act. I had heard of The Warning in passing for a while; I had seen a couple of their covers of Metallica songs pop up on my feed and I'm sure I listened to their Enter Sandman cover when Metallica released the Blacklist a few years ago but I kind of assumed they were mostly a cover band. About a month or so ago I saw they had been on tour with Halestorm so I decided to give them a closer look. I've never gone from not knowing a band to basically knowing every song in their catalog in this short amount of time! They are already easily one of my top 5 bands and are coming for Metallica as my favorite!

Welcome to the most wonderful, bad-ass rabbit hole in existence. I saw my first song five weeks ago, and it has been nonstop The Warning ever since. Every single damn song is except. (I'm sure someone has already noted that your favorite The Warning song is the one you just heard. Or the one running through your mind when you wake up in the morning.)
The Warning have been delivering for over ten years now, and the oldest is not even 25 yet. Think about that for a minute. While many fans of The Warning will tell you to react to performances from the Pepsi center or the Teatro concert, I'm partial to the Lunario concert they performed in 2018. It's raw and not nearly as polished, as they were still relatively inexperienced, but it gives some insight into just how gifted they were as teenagers. Lunario is where they performed all the songs from Queen of the Murder Scene (of which Dust to Dust is the first track), a concept album (yes, you read that right, a CONCEPT album, written by teenagers) that follows a young girl's journey from infatuation to obsession and murder. As great as DPA's more recent material is, QOTMS remains my personal favorite. Any track from that performance is a winner. Of course, that can be said of any song from their catalogue, as they seem incapable of writing a bad song. At any rate, this was a great reaction. You just listened to the best band you've never heard of.

All three sisters can take turns singing lead. The drummer Pau is a secondary lead singer and DRUMEO’s Best Rock Drummer of 2023. Eldest sister and guitarist Dany is the main lead singer. The song Dust to Dust is the opening song to a rock opera album Queen of the Murder Scene which they wrote when they were barely in their teens. The youngest sister, bassist Ale gets major credit in the creation of this song when she was just 11 or 12 years old. She just turned 20 and is affectionately called the ‘Thunder Goddess’! The album tells a grim story of a woman’s (the Queen) obsession that leads to madness and murder. During the breakdown you hear a prerecorded track of a Spanish sermon. In the original performances when they were younger, their manager Rudy joined them on stage as a preacher to deliver that sermon to the audience! He was later replaced with that track. In the finale Dany lets out a haunting wail in one breathe while her fingers are busy on her guitar.

Paulina is a fantastic vocalist and leads on about 20% of the songs. Dany leads vocals most of the time. Ale on bass always has the low harmonies and is ultra rare that she leads on vocals.
They are what us old school rockers have been missing for over 20 years. Straight ahead rock with a blend of punk and metal with a modern edge.

The TH-cam video that basically launched their careers was a cover of Enter Sandman when they were 14,12, and 9 years old. It went viral. After that they begin to start writing their own songs. There are so many documentaries and interviews that tell the back story. They were approached by a Canadian pop star Alessia Cara to do a reimagined version of Enter Sandman which is on Metallicas Black List album. They perform that version of the song at both Teatro Met and Pepsi Center shows.
It’s a long and winding rabbit hole. So many videos. All their OMV are well produced if you want to compare live and studio versions. The energy of their live performances is hard to not love. 🤘⚡️

As a rule videos from their official channel don’t get blocked. Their official MVs are very good , however they are a great live band and their pro-recorded live performances are even better. TWA (The Warning Army) has already started to arrive so here is a quick summary: Dany (Daniela, Guitar/Lead singer, now 24), Pau (“Pow”, Paulina, drums and sometimes lead vocals, 22) and Ale (“Ah-ley”, Alejandra, bass and backing vocals, just turned 20).
Their superpower is their live performances. They recently released a number of videos from their concert last year at the Pepsi Center CDMX (Mexico City). The video is 4k, the audio is HD and the energy is amazing. There are many options so to keep it simple, I’ll make 3 suggestions:
1 - suggest starting with the first song from the Pepsi Center concert: Disciple from the Pepsi Center - it explodes with energy. (The next song - “Z” is amazing too and has a really nice solo from Dany.)
2 - next: Hell you Call a Dream official live also from the Pepsi Center.
3 - Evolve from their MTV VMAs performance in October 2023. It’s a terrific performance and often the first original song that folks get introduced to.
Can’t help but give you a 4th suggestion as it’s my and many’s favorite (and their favorite to play): Automatic Sun. Suggest their official live version over studio audio from the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival. As long as you get the videos from their YT channel, you should not have any copyright infringement issues.

Their story starts with the piano at age 4 and 6 the youngest was still to young to learn the piano but she caught up eventually, there are videos of all three playing piano when very young, and video of the lead singer playing sax at a school function the bassist also played the bass.

As others have said, the drummer (Pau, pronounced as pow) does occasionally sing lead. But she is also signing backing vocals on all their other songs. The bassist can sing lead on a couple songs if Dany needs her to, but she really doesn't prefer to. But she can harmonize very well with either of her sisters, can sing quite low as well as beautiful falsetto sometimes.
I've said this as a joke before, but it's actually true. You could pull up either their Teatro Metro or Pepsi Center concert, pick any song at random, react to it and enjoy it. They do not make bad songs. If you want specific recommendations, I'd say check out the Pepsi Center version of this song, as there they combined it with Dull Knives with an awesome extended outro to Dust to Dust. Also, Disciple at either Pepsi Center or Teatro Metro is an excellent choice.

“They are freakin’ good”. They sure are, this was me 6 months ago after watching “Evolve” from 2023 MTV show! Down the rabbit hole I went. The TWA will fill you in on the rest. I personally like “Z” either from Theatro or Pepsi Centre concerts, very classic rock. Both lyrically and musically the write fire songs. Dany does lead vocals (80%) and lead guitar (24), Pau (pronounced POW,) does drums, lead and backing vocals (22), The youngest Ale ( pronounced Al-lay) just turned 20 is the bass guitarist and backing vocals, has sung songs live, mainly when Dany’s voice needs a rest. Even though they are this young they have been playing as a band together for 11 Years! They have 4 Albums and an EP.

To give you an idea of how quickly they are rising, this 2022 concert was their first big solo gig, 3200 people at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City (CDMX). It took a while, but they eventually sold out and even had to add a second show, which also sold out. In 2023 they played to a sold out 8,000 capacity Pepsi Center in CDMX (full concert up on their TH-cam), and in February 2025 they will play in the 10,000 capacity National Auditorium not once, not twice, but three times in the space of one week, at the ripe old ages of 25, 23 and 20. Their next big Latin American tour (2026?) will probably include a couple of stadium gigs.
Their rise has been slow but steady because they refused to sign with a label who didn't give them full control over their image and music. They crowdfunded to pay for a summer class for songwriting and performance at the Berklee School of Music in Boston (2015), followed by a solo album release in 2017 (XXI Century Blood) and a second album (2018's Queen of the Murder Scene, ages 18, 16 and 13) on which they all received professional producer credits for, in addition to their usual songwriting and arranging credits.
In 2020 they finally signed with Lava Records after a 7-month courtship, but couldn't tour because of the Covid lockdown so instead they went into the studio to start their 3rd album. They finished writing and recording the album at end of 2020 when they were 20, 18 and 15, but mixing started in January 2021 and the album wasn't released until 2022 , first as an EP called "Mayday" then eventually as a full album named "Error".
So to summarize, all the songs in this 2022 Teatro concert are from those first three albums, which they finished writing at the ages of 20, 18 and 15. When they performed in this 2022 Teatro concert they were only 22, 20 and 17. In a couple months (Feb 20025) when they play to 30,000 people in the National Auditorium will have just turned 25, 23 and 20. Long live the Queens!

@@TheLionsReaction Most of the videos directly from their page won't be blocked, they are very appreciative of reactors. Mostly the ones that get blocked are performances from Europe or Japan where they were guests. Places such as Wacken Open Aire and Pol'and Rock.
They are on what passes for a break between tour dates now with their first scheduled shows in Mexico City in February. They have been averaging around 85 shows a year for the last few years. All over North and South America, Europe and this year they added 3 shows in Japan as well.
After several years as an independent band they signed with Lava Records in 2020 and were able to do their 3rd studio album with David Bendeth as the producer even with the travel restrictions of the pandemic. Shortly afterwards they collaborated with Alessia Cara to rearrange and record a new arrangement of Enter Sandman for the Metallica Blacklist charity album celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Black album.
There is a long list of bands they have opened for or even toured with. A few of them are Muse, Foo Fighters, Halestorm, Evanescence, Eruca Sativa, Def Leppard and Three Days Grace.
Live is very much their superpower.
They are Daniela aka Dany on guitar and main lead vocalist. Paulina aka Pau (Pow) on drums and backing and lead vocalist on about 20% of their songs. Alejandra aka Ale (Ah-Ley) on Bass and backing vocals. This is the first song from their brilliantly written and performed concept rock novel album Queen of the Murder Scene,this is the prologue of the story that invites the lister in to hear the tragic story of a young woman who becomes obsessed and starts stalking the object of her desire, leading her to kidnap and murder and her eventual descent into madness. All told from with the perspective of the girls own mind as it spits into multiple personalities. They are a breath of fresh air into the rock scene, superbly talented, polite, humble and honest as well as being incredibly hard working and determined to follow their dream. Currently they are now Dany 24, Pau 22 and Ale just turned 20, although over the next month or so both Dany and Pau will age up to 25 and 23 respectively with Dany first in Jan and Pau in Feb.
TWA (The Warning Army) will be flooding this video in no time. Love to see new reactors to one of the best rock bands in the last 20 years or so. The Drummer is the middle sister who also sings lead. The bassist is the youngest . Sings lead only in emergencies. They don't have many. She sings backing vocals. Glad you found these ladies. They they started very young. Formed in 2013 by the Villarreal Vélez sisters: Daniela (guitar, vocals, piano), Paulina (drums, vocals, piano), and Alejandra (bass guitar, backing vocals, piano). All received training on piano and various instruments at an early age. The youngest of the three, Alejandra, selected bass guitar as her primary instrument at about age 7. The band first gained widespread notice in 2014 when, at ages 9 through 14, their TH-cam video in which they performed Metallica's "Enter Sandman" went viral among rock fans I have seen this concert and the one at the Pepsi Center when they premiered on TH-cam. Many great songs by the sisters await you.
Anything this band does is gold. Dont forget their music videos are as good as any bands out there. 4 albums and 2 eps under their belt and they are all great. They have two really amazing pro-shot concerts. This one at Teatro Metroplitan performed in 2022 and another done at the Pepsi Center in 2023.
Both are amazing but have different flavors.
I feel the Teatro Met show is better to here and get to know the songs as the mixing leaves out a lot of the crowd. The Pepsi show feels more high energy as a lot of crowd vibe is there and the mixing is more dynamic. The bass is a lot more forward in the Pepsi mix and gives it a lot more drive.
Also the band had a year in between to improve and mature and it is very noticeable.
Just like the difference between their 2016 TEDx performance and their 2017 TEDx.
If you want to go back that far to see their journey I recommend doing them in order. They perform 3 songs at each and talk about their history and philosophy between the songs.

Yep, the Villarreal Vélez sisters from Monterrey Mexico, Daniela (Dany, guitarist/lead vocals/backing vocals) is the oldest, she'll be 25 soon, Paulina (Pau, drummer/backing vocals/lead vocals) is 22, I think, and Alejandra (bassist/backing vocals) just turned 20, she doesn't like to sing lead, but does so accasionally, when Dany is feeling under the weather. She has quite a lovely voice herself, but doesn't seem to like to be the center of attention. They've been at it since they were kids, there was two key moments I guess you could say... 1, when they played the game Rock Band and decided they wanted to become just that, a rock band, and 2, when they did a cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman, which went viral, at the ages of 9, 12, and 14. As I understand it, their dad sold his Harley Davidson so he could buy instruments for his three miracles. Their parents have been very supportive from the start, and have managed to raise three of the nicest, most talented human beings alive today.
This show, Teatro Metropolitan, used to be my favorite TW performance, but the Pepsi Center 2023 show has it beat. As epic as this song is here at Teatro Metropolitan, it's even more so at the Pepsi Center, especially when you listen to it together with Dull Knives (cut better), which it flows seamlessly into. These two songs are part of Queen of the Murder Scene, a concept album they wrote as teens! Speaking of QotMS, the title track does not take any prisoners at this show. They have released four studio albums with original songs, ranging from good to great, and have done quite a few covers, so needless to say, this rabbit hole goes deep.

So many reactors know nothing about The Warning, or have gotten wrong information about these ladies so this is a brief history of the band… and remember, The Warning is almost always better live than a music video or studio recording. You cannot get the passion and stage presence of a live performance from a music video. There are some exceptions but this is the general rule.
The Warning is made up of 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra Villerreal Velez.
• They started early. Their parents loved all types of rock music and there was always music, or concert videos playing. They would spend Saturday evenings watching performances by Queen, AC/DC, Elton John, and many, many other bands.
• In 2005 when Daniela was 5 years old and Paulina was 3, they were enrolled in music initiation classes- they loved it. Alejandra was only around 1 year old so she had to wait for her time but went through the same classes.
• They all started classical piano lessons when they were between 6 and 7 years old.
• In 2007 when Daniela was 7 years old their dad bought them the video game “Rock Band” and they completely fell in love with playing it. Dany played the guitar, Paulina was 5 and playing the drums, and Alejandra (being only 3 at the time) stood next to them and clapped along. They loved the aspect of performing on stage and dreamed of doing that.
• In 2008 their dad asked Daniela if she wanted to learn another instrument (along with the piano). She chose the guitar. Around the same time Paulina chose the drums (she was 6). At that time Ale’ was still too young but when she turned 6, she wanted to play the bass but had to wait until she was 7 to be big enough to hold and play it. They then realized they could play those 3 instruments together and they began playing as a band.
• In 2014 they were playing in their basement studio that their dad made (selling his Harley Davidson motorcycle to afford it) and decided to make a video for their grandparents to see how far they had progressed. The file was too big to just email so dad uploaded the video onto TH-cam and sent the grandparents the link. The video went viral and was seen by millions (well over 25 million to date) include Metallica. Kurt Hammet shouted out Paulina on the drums. • Another person who saw that video was Ellen DeGeneres and in 2015 the girls made their US debut on the Ellen show. The girls wanted to go to the prestigious Burklee College of Music to learn musical theory and more and were trying to raise the money to do so. Ellen heard this and when they were on the show, she (and Target) presented each of the girls with a check for $10,000 so they could attend.
• Because Alejandra was only 10 years (well below the minimum age to attend) they sent in an audition tape to show she was capable of handling the music and classes. • Dany sings lead on about 75% if the songs. Pau sings lead on about 25% of the songs (either while drumming, or while at the keyboard, or just out front). Ale’ is a little shy about singing lead but steps in and sings lead when needed. All 3 can literally jump in and sing lead on any song if needed (with no drop-off in quality) and their harmonies in songs are simply amazing.
• They have all given master classes on their instruments, and song writing, and performing (even at as young as 18 years old).
• In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. It was a mix of different genres as they sorted out their musical style.
• They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood).
• They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey from desire, to love, to infatuation, to obsession, to psychotic, to murder, to remorse, and finally to suicide. It was an amazing album and was up for, and won, several Independent Music awards in 2019.
• In 2021 Metallica asked 53 artists to take any of the 12 iconic songs from their Black album and do a cover (any way they wanted to) for their Black List album, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Alessia Cara (Canadian pop star) was asked to participate but had no idea what to do. Because she shares the same management group as The Warning, she contacted them for help. It was difficult to do as Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and travel with COVID was not happening. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. Because of that you will see that Alessia appears as a projection on the wall in the video as she was not there. It was recorded in an abandoned textile mill outside of Monterrey, Mexico. • In 2020, after 7 months of negotiations they signed with Lava/Republic records and went straight into the studio to record an album.
• In 2022 they released their third album (first since signing to Lava Records) called Error and is amazing! It was done in 2020 but sat because they could not release or tour with it because of Covid.
• While touring in 2022 they opened for The Pretty Wreckless and Hailstorm. Lzzy Hale was so taken by the band and in particular Daniela that she presented Dany with a special Gibson Explorer guitar on stage mid-concert. There are videos out there of this and Lzzy does not shy away from telling this story.
• Here is a 2022 professionally shot concert to give you an idea of their skills, their power, their stage presence, and their writing abilities. The Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert was their most important concert to date, as they were playing in Mexico’s most prestigious theater, and they were the only act. • In 2023 they opened 4 shows for their absolute idols Muse in Mexico City in front of 60,000 fans. Muse was so taken by The Warning’s performances that they asked them after the 4th show to go to Europe and do 5 more shows with them! Matt Bellamy was so taken with Daniela that he presented her with a one-of-a-kind Manson guitar.
• In 2023 they were invited to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards. They were the only band to perform that was not up for some type of award. Only about 6 people in the crowd even knew who they were but as you can see from the 2 songs the audience quickly fell in love with them-

• In August of 2024 they played the Poland Rock festival at midnight in front of nearly 300,000 people and just rocked the house. The audience and show MC fell in love with them and sang a special song of appreciation back to them at the end.

Hi The bassist turned 20 on Dec 13. The guitarist will turn 25 on January 30 and the drummer turns 23 on February 5th. This show the bassist was 17.

Welcome to the rabbit hole... You have been Warned. 3 sisters from mexico all three can sing but Dani the Guitar player is the main singer. Pau the drummer does lead on several songs. Ale on bass does harmony backing vocals. Dud it gets so much better this is a song they did when there were kides.

I had heard of The Warning in passing for a while; I had seen a couple of their covers of Metallica songs pop up on my feed and I'm sure I listened to their Enter Sandman cover when Metallica released the Blacklist a few years ago but I kind of assumed they were mostly a cover band. About a month or so ago I saw they had been on tour with Halestorm so I decided to give them a closer look. I've never gone from not knowing a band to basically knowing every song in their catalog in this short amount of time! They are already easily one of my top 5 bands and are coming for Metallica as my favorite!

Welcome to the most wonderful, bad-ass rabbit hole in existence. I saw my first song five weeks ago, and it has been nonstop The Warning ever since. Every single damn song is except. (I'm sure someone has already noted that your favorite The Warning song is the one you just heard. Or the one running through your mind when you wake up in the morning.)
The Warning have been delivering for over ten years now, and the oldest is not even 25 yet. Think about that for a minute. While many fans of The Warning will tell you to react to performances from the Pepsi center or the Teatro concert, I'm partial to the Lunario concert they performed in 2018. It's raw and not nearly as polished, as they were still relatively inexperienced, but it gives some insight into just how gifted they were as teenagers. Lunario is where they performed all the songs from Queen of the Murder Scene (of which Dust to Dust is the first track), a concept album (yes, you read that right, a CONCEPT album, written by teenagers) that follows a young girl's journey from infatuation to obsession and murder. As great as DPA's more recent material is, QOTMS remains my personal favorite. Any track from that performance is a winner. Of course, that can be said of any song from their catalogue, as they seem incapable of writing a bad song.
At any rate, this was a great reaction. You just listened to the best band you've never heard of.
