First of all, thank you for the video. Did you put a container on the return line when testing? Because that's where diesel comes out, right?

Hi Chazz I would not say there is much wrong with the injectors, it started very well and the return flow was pretty even for injectors with the mileage they done, may be a coil breaking down causing the misfire but would say mechanical side of injectors ok. Normally a high return bypass would give you poor starting from cold

Hi bud when I tried a egr blanking plate mine juddered I took it back off after a few weeks took the actuator off the egr the pin was broken with 2 bearings on pushed a 5p coin in there to stop the valve coming out runs perfectly now think exhaust gas was leaking from the blanking plate definitely causing the hiccups👍

Hi Chazz, I had the same, 2.0ltr tdci 185000, engine kept hesitating, then upon Acceleration i would get ' engine malfunction ' car would go into limp mode, cleaned the Map& Maf sensors and the car is back to normal, fingers crossed.
Great video,i did that leak off test on my mk3 mondeo, number 3 injector had gone. Just a bugger to programe in. 👍

Hi Chazz, you could try cleaning the injectors first to save some cash but you will need a ultrasonic cleaner. I've just done mine on my mk3 ST tdci, not that hard to do.
I'm starting to do some videos on the mk3 mondeo and was wondering what camera you use and editing you do? as my videos aren't great atm lol

Hi Chazz - Have to agree with the comment that Barry made, the injectors seem fine with 1,3+4 seeming very even. Check the 2 sensors and also check for a split in the pipe off the rear of the turbo. Good luck bud..!!

Hiya mate, yeah ive order the 2 sensors and will be replacing them in the next few days. And will check that pipe on the turbo cheers.

@@ChazzCoombes To be fair if you fancy removing the injectors and cleaning them it will do no harm as I did all mine due to one leaking at 73,000 and they were absolutely caked with crud.! Just treat them with care and respect, clean out the bores and replace the copper washers. Also, I can highly recommend blanking off both ends of the EGR if you haven't already. Much more responsive with that piece of junk out of the equation. These 1.8 Lynx engines get some bad press but I think if you look after them and make sure the timing belt gets done on schedule they are more than capable and quite economical, which is no bad thing at the moment..!!

@@ChazzCoombes Did you have any code? if there is injector, do not buy refurbished one. With a diagnostic tool check cylinder balances. Number must be around 1 on all injectors.

@Stojan Humar I've just had a new one fitted in number 1 and now number 1 and 4 are showing 0.6 at idle and number 2 and 3 are showing 1.4.

@Stojan Humar with it stinking of rich diesel smell at idle it must be 2 and 3 that are dumping too much fuel in? At revs they all show 1 on machine
