- In this DIY we tackle 3 items, 2 of which are good to do at 60,000 miles: Change Spark Plugs, clean Throttle Body, change PCV, and while we are at it swap out the Battery for a stouter battery going from a group 25 that max out at 625 Cold Cranking Amps to a group 34 with 800 Cold Cranking Amps. Demo is on a 5th generation Subaru Outback 2017.

Super helpful, guess I need to get a few more tools. I’m only at 31k on my 2024 so doing the diff and CVT fluids. Your videos are great. Waiting on the funnel for the fluid thanks again.
Great video. This is very helpful when i need to replace my Subaru(s) spark plugs. Thank you for sharing.
How has the car been performing with the upgraded NGKs?
Thank you. The car's performance is the same with upgraded plugs, Hope the last 100k miles.
My throttle is wide open when i checked today .. its a Outback diesel 2015 any idea?
Sorry, I don't know much about the diesel version. Most diesel engines don't have a throttle. The only reason you may have a throttle may be due to exhaust gas recirculation and the need to control mixing.
@@justbehandy yeah But it would be closed if the engine is turned off ?
@simonbengtsson9361 sorry I don't know how Subaru has the diesel version setup. We don't have those in the United States.
