    This is the problem with materialistic historians and a materialistic reading of history. All rituals are dismissed as being purely for a performative purpose with no substantial meaning or consequence. How is this any better than the western reading of our history that we've been fed so far?

    Manu is a great story teller. I would learn about history by way of stories
    Hillary mantel is a case in point. Manu is our own stry teller.

    Absolutely fascinating insight of our times. I have read his 700 page colossus on Travancore history with rapt attention.
