Full Flight: United Airlines B787-8 Washington-Dulles to Munich (IAD-MUC)

- Hey guys! Welcome to the start of another European trip and to another thejazzmom13 trip (obviously edited by TJG13). International travel right now, specifically outside the EU, is restricted heavily all over the world and is only allowed for essential travel on a very small amount of flights. For instance, United uses their smallest widebody aircraft on this route and it still gets a load factor of less than 50% almost every flight. Even though domestic travel within the U.S. and in some other countries is growing, international travel is still a shell of itself. This particular trip was shot completely by TJM13 and she went for important and essential reasons that'll be kept private. Yes, the quality is not as good as what you'll typically see on this channel, but I still thought this footage, these experiences, during this time in the world is very interesting to see what things are like crossing international borders in 2020/2021. Also Me: I've been to Munich airport once in 2018 while connecting there and its really nice. In the terminal where gates L are, they have these long seats where you can lay down and its great because I got some good rest since I was wicked tired from getting off my other flight.

@@ademhawilson5579 they do use the e concourse for their flights. i’ve boarded a spirit plane out of the e concourse but they don’t use the e concourse all the time. I saw a lot of united and american flights there though.

Nice vid! I really hope intl travel will open back up soon to everyone. My dad went on a flight from O’hare to somewhere South Carolina last year in January right before the COVID outbreak and in late May this year he flew from O’hare to El Paso and back the day after.
When we arrive back to Dulles Internationally, we will often ride on the plane-mate mobile lounge instead of the aerotrain to the Customs area, even from the C-gates.
I was going to fly on a united 787-9 in july, but then they changed it to a 767-300! Maybe next time
They did the same with their Zurich flights. Don’t really know whey.
I miss Munich. I did ORD-MUC on Lufthansa in the fall of 2019. And just when I thought I wouldn't see a Michael Sharp comment...'cause he can't relate to this video at all, I scroll down and there they are!

Thanks for an excellent video. I’m wanting to fly out of IAD to Munich. I was wanting to go on Lufthansa and give my wife the total German experience. United might not be so bad. Especially if we could fly on a 787.
Lufthansa uses the A350-900s for flights to Munich from Dulles. Both airlines are great though for their service and stuff via Dulles.
I saw these beautiful birds at EWR my hometown airport in the new livery on the 787
MKE Aviation flew to Amesterdam yesterday on American Airlines no restrictions due to being fully vaccinated, right now the EU is open to U.S. visitors for non essential purposes if fully vaccinated

Washington Dulles certainly does remind me of Denver Airport, PIT airport, and ATL airport bc they both have underground people movers. Furthermore, Dulles airport concourse C reminds me of all of ATL concourses, except for the fact that ATL is better

Do you have TSA Precheck and is it worth it to have it if you do a lot of travel?
I do not currently as I didn't find a need for it during the pandemic, but now that things are heating up again there's definitely more of a use for it now 100% if you travel a lot 👍🏻

UA does overtake SWA because SWA in December started to fill up flights again but did not give out hand sanitizing wipes like United, hopefully no dirty UA planes again

Personally,I find it disconcerting for jazzmom to be doing the filming but you,the editor,using first person 'I' as if you were there as well. No doubt you captioned the video but did your mom leave you any notes or emphasis on what to say to your audience? Was the option given to you to join her but declined? Flying EB on transatlantic flights would give most people jet lag--its about 7-something Munich time but no doubt jazzmom's body clock said it was bedtime at home--odd gate departure setup at Charlie 1,what with the boarding pass stamp and the camera shot--at Munich,its indicated that she is going through customs--if one is simply connecting for another destination outside of Germany,wouldn't there be acommodation for transiting passengers?

As far as I'm concerned there is WAY to much screen writing making it Very difficult to see the views and anticipate more worthless info at the same time.
The legroom on United is awful like on Lufthansa and British. LOOOOOOOOOOLL M and Ms' for desert? This is the reason i avoid United like the plague. But they have a good frequent flyer program. And on domestic flights Delta and JetBlue are at least bearable to fly with. Baloneey I have had great "airline" food. LOL a "biscotti" for breakfast? The catering Dept at United must be working from a lunatic asylum.
