    We just planted hydrangeas in our yard about 2 weeks ago! Going to try to alternate the pH in the soil to mix the colors up a bit! BTW, I own a 1970 Winnebago that looks like Dale's RV from the walking dead, we get many conversations out of it at the gas stations!

    You are a great friend! I have an eye for similar types of weapon looking items, like that airplane hatchet that I got at the Brush Barn! I have a few bats and always keep one bat by my bed and a loaded double barrel shotgun! Haha I have a few metal boxes like that, but not as deep. More like a briefcase/first aid kit if you want.

    Hi scout
    I took cuttings from my grandparents hydrangeas In the 1980s .they planted them in the house in Liverpool that they moved to after being bombed out in 1940
    I’ve moved many tines since and now they proudly flower in my mid wales home
    But they will always be my link to my grandparents pride In their new home

    Great and unusual one this time Scout! You had me rolling over the first red paint comment, and then two more! You are definitely a reader of minds😄😄 I was kind of surprised you didn't paint the barbed wire candy apple red before stringing it! Let's hope the ever present TH-cam political correctness bots don't catch this one 😄. Great education on the spot weld remover. Hydrangeas - beautiful - never had them but sure are beautiful - thanks for the great nature diversions you take people on also. When you cannot take time to smell the roses then what is it all for?

    Great Mosh! What a way to start the week! It's obvious you spend a lot of time with these videos. Thank you. It's great fun, and I look forward to learning from your work. I hope it's not too much though, the schedule you've lined up with three a week. Anyway, thanks again, ScoutCrafter. Your effort does not go unnoticed.
    I got sucked into the Walking Dead show too. Those ash bats came out brutally great! Reminds me of when Negan hit Glen! Gosh, I was not expecting that one.

    I could have used one of those spot weld cutters 40 some years ago. I worked at a place that assembled water coolers and key cabinets with spot welds. Among other things, I was the guy who had to remove components that were welded in wrong, in order to save the more expensive components. Spot welds don't fill any holes. They are similar to a blacksmith weld in principle. Two copper tongs come together with the parts to be welded in between the tongs. You step on a pedal which pinches the parts together very tightly and an electrical charge is sent to the tips. The resistance of the steel causes the metal to glow red, almost to the point of being molten. The steel, being pinched tightly between those tongs is forced together and the weld is made. Love the detail painting on that little die stock.

    I am 20 and I have been watching your channel for a while. I have a 1926 Dodge I also like antique tools. Recently my trailer was broken into and all my tools were stolen. They took all my modern sae sockets wrenches etc. but they also took my antique tools such as my plierwrench and my speednut etc. every time I watch one of your videos I go on eBay to buy it. My question for you is what is the best way to rebuild and protect. They were in a locked trailer and a locked tool box.

    • @ScoutCrafter
      @ScoutCrafter  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Matthew, I feel your pain my friend, living here in the city I have had many things disappear from my property. You are lucky they didn't take the trailer! No lock or lock box will stop a pro. However an alarm seems to deter most thieves from sticking around. I know it stinks and once you are a victim of a theft your whole attitude changes about crime... Rig your trailer with a self contained battery alarm. A REALLY loud one! =D Thanks Matt... BTW the 1926 Dodge is a sweet ride!!

    Growing up in S. Carolina in the 40s and 50s the natives called hydrangeas "bathroom plants" because then the hose bibs were always under the bathroom wildow. There was always a drip and the ground was always wet. The hydrangeas thrived there.

    Hydrangeas are good solid earners in the garden and really hardy plants. I’ve had two in pots for years but they aren’t happy anymore so they are going in the ground in the spring. Don’t dead head them until the spring as the old flower heads prevent frost burn on the tips over the winter.

    • @ScoutCrafter
      @ScoutCrafter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Pete! Two years ago my Sister said "Hey can I take the dried flowers from your hydrangea?" So I said OK but last year I had no flowers!!!! =/

    • @bigpete4227
      @bigpete4227 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      ScoutCrafter yep! It’s tempting to cut them off but the plant likes them on. Old fella who lived on my street and had the most beautiful and ornate garden gave me the tip. He worked for the gardening section of our local council all his life until he retired. He actually did his apprenticeship there back in the day when apprenticeships were still a thing. He’s past now and his garden is deteriorating but I can’t blame the new owners as I’m a keen gardener and I don’t think I could of reached the bar he set. That’s life I suppose.
