I’ve had a difficult 6 months, and your channel has given me more than a few pick me ups. I always thought I’d never sub to someone on TH-cam, but this channel changed that. You’re truly a natural at this though Ollie, you and the team, and all the community in chat have given me an escape just when I needed it. TH-cam algorithm did me a huge favour! Keep it up.

due to an unplanned day at home I was watching your whole stream today and this ending is for sure unfortunate - but on the other hand it's a perfect example of human imperfection and I do not only mean the obvious errors you where the victim of ... not even a word like sorry - well thats what the world looks like we are living in. So ... just do what you are doing - it means a lot to more people than you think!!
It's actually funny that the first guy that hit you spun another driver just before the turn u got wiped out at.
Not getting a single apology is what irks me the most. You had two people run into you and not a single word. I couldn't fathom being someone who can't acknowledge that I took out another driver, whether it was my fault or not.
People don’t take time to apologise nowadays, they have to quickly start another race in order to farm iRating and… who knows… become a pro??? Depressing really 😞
Then they just drive off like nothing happened. Crazy.
I feel your pain. The other day I had during the warm up lap….yes…. Warm up lap… someone touched the gras, spinned out. Me and two others in front could stop perfectly fine but the guy behind me not and flipped me even upside down. During the warm up lap….sheeshhhhhh
It happens to most of us all the time. You're one of the good, consistent and fast drivers out there. Keep it up Ollie!

What pisses me off most about situations like that, is that the guy who blatantly disregards you being there and takes you completely out of the race, gets to continue his race almost like nothing happened.
This is EVERY single one of my races recently. Taken out by someone from behind and then whilst working my way back up, someone re entering the track without a care in the world.
These things happen, people make mistakes. If you are really enjoying the ride anyone driver killing by a mistake is heartbreaking. But people not apologizing mostly makes me more angry then the fact they make a driver's or stupid mistake
i feel this, i literally just had this happen to me the other day. 3 hits on lap 1 at okayama. ridiculous

unlucky mate, I'm sure you and Dave will get a chance to race again. The thing that worries me is I am new to iracing, and thought by the time your surrounded by 2/3k A licensed drivers these things would be a lot less common. Love the channel keep up the good work!
It looks like its a string of event causing the carnage, the guy takes olli out and gets again, obviously hes gonna be out of the race with damage but it looks like he was taking more people out and trying to race

i keep thinking iracing need to do something about stupid/dangerous driving. we pay ALOT to play there game and the driving standards are getting worse and worse... constant people "sending it" with moves that are never on and in general just poor poor driving. Something needs to change.. yeah people can have a bad race but u can bet most of these people display poor driving standards in most races they do... change is needed.
Just had a guy kill me in a legends race, he was A-Class too. Getting tired of iRacing letting this stuff slide.
Happy to see this take because I’ve been thinking this for a while. Making the occasional mistake is one thing. But so often I see people making “mistakes” that are simply due to either carelessness or ignorance of racing etiquette. To me these are inexcusable, yet iracing won’t move forward with punishments to these drivers because they don’t classify them as retaliation or egregious.
Check incidents after each race you do and report every incident that is valid to protest. If every race has 1 person doing it the service will clean up in a couple months. First guy made a mistake but that 2nd guy will most likely receive an e-mail informing him about safe rejoins.

There's unlucky racing incidents and then there's the second incident, that's protestable.
Main problem I’ve had with iracing is people going off track and don’t know how to be patient and rejoin the race. Very annoying.
This is why I quit iRacing. Dedicate decent amount of time into practice and then get booted off. Mostly on oval though. I can forgive racing mistakes, but I was having good races too many times to be taken out by backmarkers.

First crash was unfortunate but so easy to do in the Cup car. The second one was unnecessary, they should have left more space.

Why is the FOV so narrow on iracing? Honestly it looks like the second guy was just a bit flustered and panicky after spinning and just didn’t see/react quick enough to you flying past. It’s rude of course to be taking a racing line whilst going so slow but again I guess people just panic and don’t think after spinning

Some people really lack common sense. I don't blame you for being mad at them. Gotta question what goes on in people's minds while they race sometimes. I swear, people get to the side of them and their brain just shuts off and has a Windows XP error screen
The second guy was ok at first. If he’d stayed left until he was up to speed there is no issue. Instead, he just drives straight to the apex. I’d like to have a competitive race with Dave Cam but he’s too fast for me lol.

It is both encouraging and disheartening that even the top splits (which I am nowhere near) also contain people driving like donkeys

For me it's always important to analyse what happened to see what you could have done to avoid it.
As soon as Dave slotted in in front, I could see that guy coming up on your left. I was screaming to cover the inside, but you stayed to the right and got taken out. Never give the plums an opportunity to lunge and take you out. They always will. They can't stay on their line. Just don't give them the opportunity.
That second one is just an absolute moron with no clue what is going on around them moving onto the racing line at 3mph. Not much you could do about that one.
Unlucky. i keep hearing about iracings wonderful ranking system.. but most races i watch have the same old issues other driving games have... inexperience or attitude issues, how the 2nd clown didnt keep left entering track.. but they all seem to think getting back to the tarmac is the end of their mistake & just go like nothing happened.. the games need to educate people somehow

100 percent justified anger on both of those. Both are 100 percent bonehead moves. The first, he locked up because of his choice to sail it in there where his skill and/or car was unable to follow.

The lack of apologies in iracing these days is off the charts, we all make mistakes but please apologise it makes it a bit easier to take.

I do not see any stupidity here, just racing incident by people who all wants to play and have nice time. Ok not a clean rejoin, but now you should be used to that. It happens but I am quite tired that simracers don t stop blaming others and call them stupid.
The only reason to blame is to prove it was intentional. Frustration is part of it 👍
Race clean is a goal. Fail at it do not make one stupid. And statistics help for that. Play on loby server on assetto if you want to see stupid moves.
Maybe the driver is really smart at work or school but he has a very very low level of racing intelligence (aka stupid). An unsafe rejoin is not a racing incident. You should google things before you argue
