That was me you were racing against. I thought you were way out of my reach and was surprised when I was right behind you when I came out from the last pitstop.
I realized what you were doing in the last carousel and I was thinking if I should just wait and see who dares to go to döttinger first, but decided to just floor it. I was pretty sure 0.6sec gap would be enough but you probably ran a bit lower downforce setup than I did (you were braking in some corners where I was 100% on the gas).
At somepoints like schweden-kreuz I didnt intentionally block you, I just first thought you were trying to go outside there. I always race hard while still trying to be fair, but I guess I didn't have amg gt3's dimensions/track width nailed down like in the tiergarten last lap where I hit you a bit and lost control of the car for a bit costing me the race.
Great race nevertheless, never had that intense racing in the last laps of NEC.
Appreciate the comment buddy, it was a good race in the end and in the heat of the moment I probably got more angry than I should have. Another race here next month, hope to see you there buddy

topruttaja - thank you for coming and commenting. Always useful to have the other side perspective, and while racing neither of you had the benefit of replays or hindsight. I did watch the whole five hours Ollie posted and the strategic and tactical battle was great to watch. Were there cases where either/both of you could have driven more cleanly - maybe, but isolated cases in four hours of racing I might score differently to others.
Because it is an Ollie channel, expect a bit of hate your way.

Never heard of you, suddenly got reccomended your channel during that live stream. I tuned in on the last lap of the race, on the edge of my seat, didn't have any context whatever happened the 4 hours before it. Talk about timing! This race got my heart beating in my chest. This is why i love tuning into endurance races, especially at the end where all differing strategies converge. Awesome result!
Props to your opponent to come into the comments and discuss his POV. No ill intentions from both sides and after a 4 hour race emotions can be running high when losing/gaining a win. But nice to come together afterwards and hopefully meet eachother in a future race
Very hard, very intense and on the edge of legal...
In the end: Racing at it's best and at least both of you gave respect to each other, even if some nasty words were said.

I’ve been totaled by so many other people avoiding you in track and they don’t pay attention and avoid you right into me.
I was astonished that he took the bait at that last carousel knowing he had an incredible speed advantage on those straights. It appeared he was lifting on the long straight up the hill content just following you until the last straight. He probably thought you slowed enough to where you wouldn't have a tow lol. As a new racer, what’s wrong with defending your place? If you pull in front of the other player to stop an overtake (obviously not when they are alongside you) shouldn’t that be a tactic? Again, I’m new, no hate.
First of, "YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO LEAVE A SPACE!" while driving alongside, thats not Nascar. Waving from left side to right side on a straight is against the rules. U can switch the side only once, after that u have to stay on your side if you are in front. Causing an accident is against the rules, otherwise u would just need a tank to win every race.
When you passed him the first time I yelled “ATTA BOY!” Then when you passed him AGAIN, I yelled “ATTA FUCKIN BOOOOOOOOY!!!!!”
Well mate, I didn't see anything wrong with his defensive driving. He was closing the doors really fair everywhere. After all it's the job of the CHASING driver to make sure the overtake is executed safely. Diving into the inside of the corner from the back, hoping he would see you and move out of the way isn't exactly what i would call safe. To be brutally honest, your driving as a chasing driver, especially in the beginning, was far more dicky than his defensive one. At 3:08 trying to enter the chicane together from his left side is nothing short of pure optimism. There is barely enough room for one car, let alone 2. I'd always go outside and place myself for a better exit out of the corner, than trying to outbrake/outturn whoever is in front of me. At 4:21 he was just keeping the middle of the track, which he has every right to do so and YOU basically bumped into him, trying to go inside again. Even your wheel is slightly turned to right at that moment. If there was an accident and i was a steward, i'd put 100% of the fault onto you. But i know all too well the adrenaline in these situations and it can really cloud ones mind and judgment.
This is a case of the smarter driver winning.
Rubbing IS racing, but he had no place constantly pushing you off the track.

I know it's hard to keep line on such a narrow course and at those speeds but you're still only allowed one movement to defend. He was switching sides more than the French. Anyways it was still an amazing few laps seeing bumper to bumper racing and to be honest you're both really good drivers 👍

I cant stand sore losers. Their egos are bigger than their skills. If you have to win by racing dirty, you havent won anything have ya? Im all for clean hard racing. Lean on each other a bit, but with respect. Leave them room. Closing the door and running someone off are 2 different things. Driving defensive(which is slower) is much different then outright blocking. Great race to watch. Impressed how you calmed yourself down, refocused, and kept applying pressure. Millions of calculations happing in nano seconds waiting for that perfect moment to strike.
Look if someone keeps cutting across my front when I'm trying to pass then I'll let them but won't let out of my throttle. You want to cut someone off that many times then don't say nothing when you misjudge it and spin your self out. I won't ever intentionally wreck anyone ever, but I dang sure will let you wreck yourself. People let others do this way too much that's why he is doing it so much. And he can't say I didn't know, and people saying I didn't see anything wrong. That's just mind blowing tbh cause he trys to push Ollie off the track twice and continues to cut him off when he is obviously trying to pass. He keeps doing it dont let off cause you do have a right to try and pass and he will end up spinning his self out. Just don't intentionally spin him as in turning into his direction when the turn is going the opposite direction and you will be fine.
I have a completely different question here Ollie: What painting sizes(Measures?) are your paintings in the background? ^^ Been thinking for some time to get a few ones just like that, yours seems to be the right size I kinda want aswell

I think I see what's going on. Your Slazenger hat appears to have been donned back-to-front. This would be limiting the flow of blood to your brain and hinder your performance as well as your appearance. My advice is to ditch it or wear it the way it was designed, which will enhance both your ability and reputation. You're welcome. 😂

This is why you find clean racers to your lobby. We use to have tryouts for our IMSA races on Forza... Forza is crap compared to today's stuff, but its how we got the best drivers. But let that be a lesson, if they do stuff like that kick them from your lobby, the Merc driver was definitely a dirty driver, very unprofessional.

Repeatedly blocking another racer behind you is a penalty in real life racing.
Yeah i played with lots of drivers like him over the years. Good drivers but just that touch too unfair and dirty, like Schuhmacher. Only way to deal with them is crash them out. Might sound unreasonable and harsh but thats how it is or they will keep playing dirty with you.
Next time you have more speed and youre going to overtake him on a straight or just before a corner and he starts to block you and push you out of the track just stick your nose in and push his rear wheels to the side so he spins out.
I always give people the doubt but when its clear they just block you, you have to put your elbows out or you will be dominated, simple as that.

Race view and chase cam do give a totally different perspective. Recently had a driver call me dirty, so I sent him some clips using chase cam asking who is dirty? It showed just like with you, I was at the absolute track edge and he kept turning in on me, pushed off in one case. His only response was to criticize my spelling. Lol

honestly this guy didn't fight fair. he was always pushing you out or bumping you when you had a better run through the straights. i would have reported him. but good on you for backing out when necessary. i know i wouldn't have done the same.
Very nice and good racecraft! I believe I would not be overtaking him on the lap before as you would be defenseless on the next lap. I would rather find out if I could overtake him on the straight, than, release a little bit the throttle so he could think I was not fast enought on the straight and keep waiting the whole lap to lauch the move there on the last lap. But, you figured out a nice way to make it work anyway, so very smart move to fake the mistake there. But, being very honest with you: if I was him I would never overtake you right there and would slow a little bit too and still wait for the straight. haha
Amazing achievement Ollie well done. 4 hours solo, I could barely race on this for 4minutes usually. I can understand your frustrations during the race, the adrenaline and how warm it is. It is all totally fair. Maybe he didn't understand you anyway over the 'all team broadcast.'
You had a few oportunities to also push thats what I would do if they push I push back even harder you have to show dominance and let them know if they try something funny again things arent going to work out for them look at Ayrton Senna he would jeoperdize his whole race if needed to get 1st place when you push they are under pressure and more prone to make mistakes this isnt just racing anymore its not like you are on the play station back in the days on this case human factor also comes into play take advantage of it...

I think you need to do a rules of racing video because if the guy in front should just relinquish half the track because of 1 inch I mean can you pull a pit manoever and Earl him out and if so can he not fight that off? Ultimately the nordshliefe is a timed track not a race track
