    Hi guys,
Thank you all for your good thoughts 🙏🏼! Sorry for not being active lately on TH-cam !
Let me give guys an update on my knee. I haven’t had the acl reconstruction. At that time, that was the best option for me and probably I would do the same if would go back in time. The surgery option was only available for me after 6 months when I actually managed to recover and I didn’t wanted to start all over again and I pushed myself and believed that I can recover without surgery and I did… however since then I haven’t been able to play football because i feel that my knee it not like it was before the injury. I can have a normal life, go gym, go for a run but I feel that I can’t turn or stop sharply. 2 years later my knee gave up on me again after I slipped but because I knew what to do right after, I recovered in few weeks(I was still painful and frustrating). I learned along the time that if I put the effort in the gym to strengthen the muscles(Hamstrings, glutes, tibialis, calves) and the connective tissue around the knee, the stability and confidence increases a lot compared to not exercising at all of for a long period of time( 1 month).
I think if I want to play football again, probably the best option for me is to have the acl reconstruction followed up by what I just mentioned above ( recovery exercises and strengthening exercises ).
THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE, IT’S JUST MY EXPERIENCE and I am sharing this to give you guys hope regardless if you have or not the surgery!
Speedy recovery all and good health ! Stay strong 💪🏼

I am going from a recovery too now it's 3 months and I am still working with the physiotherapist. The journey is long but worth waiting. This taught me a lot in life.

hi! hoping that you can give me a suggestion bro. i play basketball and its a sport that i love the most. had a full ac tear last 3 weeks with grade 2 lcl and grade 1 mcl. on the first three days i couldn’t walk that much. but after that, i can walk with ease if i’m wearing a regular knee support. i can also bend my knees and do some stretches that’s why i thought at first that i didn’t have a complete acl tear but afterwards, mri showed it. anyhow, it’s been 18 days and i can do regular things now without support. i need your help if u think i should proceed with the surgery even now that i’m in a normal state (when i think about after the surgery, i know that i’ll go back to zero again. just like what you said in the clip when you said u “didnt want to go back there again” phase).
i’m still doing the phase 1 exercises that you did. haven’t progressed yet into doing it with bands and deadlifts with minimal weight or using bands but i’m planning to.
    thanks in advance brother!

I met with an accident in August 2023
    Got an MRI
Reports said I had torn ACL, meniscus and some more.
Doctors said to get an operation.
    Did physiotherapy for a month.
Was able (still able) to walk without any pain and do normal activities.
Got another MRI in May 2024.
Healed everything except for the ACL.
Don't know should I be happy or sad. Got this at a young age of 17 and I feel like I am not able to keep up with the people around my age like run, jump etc. I know I can run/jump but there is a fear at the back of my mind.
I feel my knee is stable but I just don't know what to do.
My friends had surgery and they say they feel pain which I don't.
I really don't know what to do.

I'm not a doctor, but if you're young, why not get it fixed if you're able? Yes, it took a few years (4+) for me to get full flexibility after the surgery, but now it's as good, if not better than my uninjured knee. The ACL is like a rubber band-- once it has snapped, it's gone. Many can continue on in life compensating somewhat for the lost stability with muscle strength, but it will always be gone and you'll always have that increased chance of instability and also injuring other ligaments, meniscus, or bone in your knee. At your young age, why not give yourself a second chance at a whole, sturdy knee again? Especially if your knee is nice and strong now! Sure there will be a long recovery period, but if the surgery is successful, you'll be 100% once again, playing sports and moving through life with confidence. Why not go for it if you have the chance?

At 27 years old I completely torn my ACL as well in December 2015 from a basketball game and healed without surgery. But there was a caveat.
I was able to walk and live an active lifestyle again. I even started picking up new sports like Muaythai and Jiu-jitsu.
Fast forward to January 19, 2024, my knee slipped out of place while doing plyometric box jumps as I fell on the ground in excruciating pain.
The next day my injured leg was swollen, I couldn't bend it, and I was having difficulty walking.
In the MRI they found out that I've already damaged my meniscus with a complex tear.
The doctor convinced me to finally undergo ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair. Now I'm undergoing physical therapy and gradually getting my range of motion back.
You may recover from an ACL injury without surgery but as you age you will have an increased risk of meniscus injuries and osteoarthritis.

Okay considering my clinically reported torn ACL, I've got a plethora of questions but I'll ask the important ones.
    1) What was the timeline of your recovery ? How long did it take before you could climb stairs up and down easily?
    2) What braces did you use throughout and when did you decide to switch from a hinged brace to normal one ?
    3) Where's the second partttt ? Did you go through the surgery ?
It's been 4 months since my injury and I'm able to do pretty much every daily task with just a little uncomfortable pain later in the day (only on days where i pushed my legs too much). I've been doing exercises in moderation. More importantly, I'm at that point of my career which wouldn't allow me to follow a proper rehab schedule post surgery so have decided to delay it at least by a year.
Still a little confused with the way ahead though.
