- A walkround and picture montage video of Lancia Fulvia F&M barchetta build. A series 1, basket case, very rusty, Fulvia Rallye is converted into a chopped roof modified "track car". In 1969 a Lancia backed team built a pair of HF fulvia barchetta race cars for the Targa Florio in Sicily. Maglioli the driver and Cesare Fiorio the team engineer (F for Fiorio and M for Maglioli) chopped the roof and shortened two Fulvia 1300 HF and first competed in the '69 Targa Florio and then the Mugello GP , 1000km Nürburgring , and others. Sandro Munari and Aaltonen famously drove "muso bianco" of the pair in 69. The "muso nero" was also successful and raced at Daytona. A third car the "FM2" was constructed with an even more extreme chop tube body frame and aluminium panels. This is my take on the "muso nero"
Amazing work Luke. Cannot wait to see this car running!
You and me both!
Keep going Luke! This project is awesome! I also want to do replica, but first I have to find the space and the money… are you going to use 1.3 or 1.6? Perhaps is possible to bore the 1.3 to 1.6?
This was already a standard 1300 Rallye. It was really rusty and not able to be "restored." The engine is a race prepared 1300 with high compression pistons ported head and special cams. I have a lightened flywheel and delortto 40s. I would like to set up with injection on some bike throttle bodies, but that's in the future. I've been wondering about 1600 pistons or at least 80mm into a 1300 block.
@@Lukestew91 I’m actually doing some research about EFI and Motec. How can I email you? Very interested to know more about.
