      I’ve been watching your videos for about 6 months. I’ve knocked 10 strokes off my game. One thing I can’t get or change is my iron trajectory. I’m hitting it so high. I don’t think I’m flipping or losing lag. What should I change to take loft off of ball flight? I’m contacting ball first and have improved like I said. Just ball is too high.

      @@AthleticMotionGolf thank you for the reply. I just went and had my clubs checked and I’m playing my first set of forged irons so I did not realize I needed to have them checked for lie and loft. From 7 iron through 3 iron they Were all off. My 6 iron was lofted the same as my 8. So needless to say I’m crushing my irons now.

    Your site is the best out there for explaining the fundamentals of the golf swing. I like Chris Ryan and Eric Cogorno as coaches but especially with the gears, you guys make things very clear....keep up the good work. Not sure if your site has already done it but a specific video on the driver, especially in terms of hitting up as opposed to compressing the ball would be great.

    Also, at the end you mention the left arm pull down move can lead to excess axis tilt at impact - how do we blend that pull down move and not fall back on the right foot?

    This video with the lines drawn on the head and side - combined with the left arm swing only and right hand flat on back off grip in the compression video is GOLD. Combining the two is what I have been doing with my Uneekor Sim and high speed camera system. I can draw the lines and project me swinging on the screen. line up my body to the head and leg line with the 2 inch forward ball position (logo on shirt) and practice, practice, practice. Some day I will have just a touch more forward lean and be able to better rotate thru shot - but these are great drills and reference points - gald to see more videos to of you guys doing tag team lessons. Once again...mind blown!! I experimented briefly a few years ago with "framing" the ball, but I could never get it to work consistently. Now I know why. I was missing the element of re-centering, and also missing the element of moving both centers ahead of the ball in the downswing before "framing" the ball. Where have you guys been all my life? Hahaha! Cannot thank you enough.

  • @Allabertina
    @Allabertina 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You guys highlighted the same in a previous video. I was always keeping my upper center static, behind the ball and struggled hitting my irons well. I implemented the forward body press, followed by the backswing movement and almost halfway back I start moving everything forward again (I can see on the ground I'm moving forward) and it has made a huge difference. I have gained a lot of distance. It does freak out my mind but after 5 games and no further driving range sessions I am getting used to feeling that I'm in front of the ball when hitting it. I do the same with the driver and when I'm settled in my round I hit it really well. On some holes of my home course I am reaching distances that I reached 16 years ago when I was 50. Thx for making me aware that the whole body moves forward guys! No one else highlights that aspect.

    Any videos on the vertical component of covering the ball? I would go towards early extension related videos, but it seems to me like early extension is always described as this thing that is solely about the hips moving towards the ball. I seem to early extend with the upper center without any really appreciable "humping of the goat" which results in thin shot after thin shot.

    Could you do a video on the differences between a baseball and golf swing? For example, how come in baseball we don’t want to keep our left arm straight on the backswing, but we do in golf? Certainly a straight-ish left arm on the back swing allows for more precision and consistency, but does this also sacrifice a little bit of swing speed? Similarly, in baseball we unhinge the wrists during contact to release extra energy and generate more speed, but in golf we hold the lag. Does this again improve precision at the slight cost of swing speed?

    I needed this video. I am that guy that would lean my left shoulder first and hit the pull shot. Then I would hit the big draw or hook shot and if I was on that day. A 5 yrd draw every time. The problem is...I had a ankle brace on the right ankle. No weight. So I taught myself to time my swing. I was a 6 hcp. I had my ankle replaced. Now i can push off and put weight on it. Now I have no idea where the ball is going. I line up to play the draw. The ball will go straight. Miss the green right. Play it at the flag. pull or draw the ball. I got fitted for my irons because i felt that i needed to change my swing. He said that i am making great contact. But on the way down. I lift my hands and flipping them. Seeing this video makes me think that I have the ball back to the middle of my stance. I thought if I play the ball up. I was drawing the ball. Now I know that I am leaning to the left. Then I am flipping my hands and lifting them up to get the body to turn. Move the ball forward and turn and not lean or lean the left shoulder. Any thoughts from anyone will be good news to me. I cant break 80 now. I did have my left knee and left hip replaced. Right ankle replaced and now i need right knee replaced. These things could make a difference. I am only 53. Cancer 2 times. Any thoughts would be great.

    if your upper body shoulder is tilted right at impact to cover the ball when are you supposed to level your shoulder tilt form tilt forward in takeaway / does this mean your hips still stay tilted forward at impact or do you flatten them somewhere on the downswing you said the takeaway should be finished and body centered at arms level but that conflicts with wht you are saying about impact

    Correct me if this is wrong but it seems like this video is telling us to start with the ball a little forward in our stance. That makes perfect sense to me in this context but everything else I've ever seen says to keep the ball basically centered for some clubs and only move it a little forward in your stance for longer irons or driver. Some clubs are even suggested to keep the ball towards the back of your stance. How does that work with this shifting motion? Are we supposed to keep the ball in the front of our stance for ALL clubs in order to get good compression?

      Ball position is more relative to your chest than your feet. But yes, Ball position is constant, unless it is teed up.

    Great analyses in all of your presentations. Here is an odd question....what is the slowest swing speed that still produces compression? I feel like I need to swing hard and fast but would like to get more control via slower speeds.

    After watching their videos I want to be an astronaut with all the information and graphics. Golf is tough enough as it is. I'm going to frame my clubs

      @@AthleticMotionGolf I am so cofused by all this information. Think I will fram all my clubs and display them on my living room wall for all to see. Just joking. All the so called PGA coaches can now be more consistant in their coaching by learning from thouse guys. No more stupid swing tips.

    Quick question. I struggle with a flip and was looking into getting an impact bag to help me with my impact position. Was just wondering if it’s worth it or is it a waste of my time and money.
