That was just great. I enjoyed it. It's all beautiful but especially the ones you grew from seed and are just enormous! Mother Nature is just incredible. Thank you!
I really enjoyed the tour. I've been so frustrated this year because I've been unable to garden. I planted a bunch of stuff just before I started radiation therapy thinking no big whoop I just be able to just tend things, go out and water, deadhead, harvest. Well, none of that happened. I wound up all but bedridden unable to walk more than about I think 12 is the maximum # of steps. So gardening vicariously has been just wonderful
Wow! Wow! Wow! Amazing how you organized so well with your garden! Productive garden and you have all your favorite fruits and vegetables. I wonder what is your secret in maintaining such a healthy garden.
Glad to see an update. I've followed your orchard journey getting and pruning your small trees. So good to see you posting again. Lots of us have been waiting since your content is so good. Keep the videos coming, even short ones to show us what you're up to. Thx.
You’ve done a phenomenal job with the layout of your garden given the space you have to work with. It looks very organized, tidy, and it doesn’t look cluttered. You are growing some very cool stuff in there too. Great job, beautiful video. 😊
Loved the tour! My wife and I just bought down in Rosemont and are working on building something (hopefully half as great!) as your space. We have 4 beds laid down in the backyard right now (2 in-ground, 1 raised, 1 hugelkultur), and have space for 1 or 2 more. Our biggest issue right now is rebuilding our soil. It's was all sod/weeds and exposed dirt - and it's heavy clay and compacted. We settled on a single tillage - via rototiller for 2 beds and broadforking 6-12 inches elsewhere - and then laying down compost. I'm also working on cover cropping some of the beds and a section in the front yard to improve soil quality and reduce compaction. All that to say: thanks for putting out great videos! Sacramento is definitely a unique climate (July was hot and my tomatoes and peppers definitely stopped producing/suffered sun scald), so I appreciate someone near us that can share their gardening wisdom!
Thank you! That’s awesome! As with any climate it will take a few seasons to figure out what works here, but its honestly one of the best growing zones in the world which is why we have so many farms here
This is a beautiful garden well done. As someone who grows a more ‘jungle’ style garden I am visually impressed with your style and aesthetic. My rather OCD wife would feel calm walking around your space. Thank you.
Hello Kyle. I happened across this video tonight in my feed. Viewing your garden of Eden felt half Willie Wonka and part Wizard of Oz. It must be a labor of love. I’d like to hear about the microclimate. I live in Stockton. I’m thinking all those trees and plants would create a cooler place than in the open. Thank you so much for the tour🤓
YAAAAAAH you’re back! Wow! It’s so awesome to see the original fruit trees again! Kyle, could you please do a video on your blueberries? What your soil mix is and how you maintain the ph? I live in AZ and I struggle with the ph even in containers! Thank you for your videos! Ive learned so much from you! Hella gratitude!
The most beautiful home food garden I've ever seen. The design and layout is perfect. Every home should have a garden like this and not be so reliant on supermarkets for fresh produce. Here in Australia fresh food is becoming more expensive. You have inspired me to plant more.
Wow! Time to get caught up on your videos. The dense variety is amazing. I’ll be checking for how you maintain it all given some of those trees tend to get huge! Your attention to aesthetics is equally impressive as I start to fill up my garden.
Great tour! Can't wait to learn more about the tomato varieties in your next video. Can you include a list and where you order your seeds from so we can order some too? Thank you!
I appreciate your content so much. The quality of your typical videos is fabulous, but I REALLY enjoyed this impromptu whole yard tour. Really spectacular what can be done in a relatively small yard.

Kyle you are looking very well. Garden is simply beautiful and super productive. Oh I want a taste Tiger Striped fig I know they would make great preserves. My Texas Everbearing has set fruit for fall and I cannot wait. My word at the huge clusters of tomatoes. Midnight Roma. Wow! Just gorgeous. Italian Red Pear is impressive. I think you have out done yourself this year. Really like the look of the arch growing system for your tomatoes. Impressive. The food forest is indeed beautiful and productive. Thank you for the entire garden video and all your private hideaway areas. Truly a lush retreat.
Two things I would love to know. 1-What is your raised bed soil composed of? (it is obviously the perfect blend of nutrients) 2-How in the world do you keep your tomato's free from disease? Your garden is as perfect as they come, thanks for always inspiring and motivating me to strive harder at mine.
I made a custom blend for the beds. I’ll be sharing a full video here with the recipe, but in the meantime I do have it in a reel on my Instagram. The answer to your tomato question should be very long of course, but I will cover lots of that in my upcoming tomato video

Always a treat to see your garden and food forrest. You should make a vid just explaining how you planned this whole garden out especially the trees you picked and how you decided where to place them. Where you bought them from would be nice to know too. Also, would love to hear the maintenance regiment, do you have everything on drip irrigation, how often do you fertilize, do you make or buy compost etc. Cheers
u have superior green thumb bro. I started mine inspired by you. Wish I know where to get the tropical papaya trees u have and other tropical trees. Also wanna know how u get those tomatoes to fruit like that. What soil are you using for all your plants? This is the best garden I have ever seen.

Wow. Amazing! I know the area. It's hot and dry, yet your garden is thriving! What's the secret? Is your property near the river? Perhaps your water table is quite high?. I know you will need to water a lot or it's near the surface underground.
Thank you! I don’t believe in secrets when it comes to growing food, so I have none. No river nearby etc. just deep but infrequent irrigation. Fruit trees once every 14 days in summer, veggies once every 3-4 days in summer.
@@urbanfarmsteaddo you water your fruit trees less now that they are more established? Or did you water them every two weeks when they were young as well?
Kyle! I'm always so AMAZED at your garden's bounty. Everything seems so prolific, happy and healthy 🎉. Thoroughly impressed every time 😊 Great work, it shows!
The aesthetics of your garden are blended perfectly with functionality. I definitely took some notes. I have a backyard food forest/kitchen garden project in Connecticut 6b, so I really appreciate what's gone into this...lots of work but it's a true gift.
Wow, I didn't watch the video of your tropical orchard before, because I already live in the subtropical zone. But I didn't expect your tropical orchard with so many varieties, it's amazing.
Hi Kyle! Oh my goodness!!! You're definitely a professional. Bro I can't believe how much different verities of plants you fit into your pretty small area! Thank you for sharing your garden's beauty with us.
This tour was really fulfilling! Seeing the amazing things you do on such a small plot of land made me think about my own garden. I felt inspired and motivated to get started. Anyone else feel like giving it a go right away?
Such a great tour. It's so nice to see the babies all grown up but you've added so much more. You tend a lot. So nicely organized on your deck-the nursery. If I were a neighborhood kid, I'd ask for a tour. Thanks.
I believe you are my favorite gardener ever! I love watching your stuff…especially because you are so close to my area so I can actually follow your advice, tips and tricks because they apply to the area.
I genuinely blown away! This is insane!!!! How could you possibly grow so many varieties of plants with such different needs? Like I've been to LA and San Diego a bunch and I didn't even see this many tropical plants in the gardens I visited! Aren't they warmer climates than you?
You have created a piece of heaven there! Really enjoy your channel and always get inspiration on some new plants to try. Thanks for sharing your hard work.
I've loved watching the fruit trees from planning, planting, to now! I'm zone 10B in FL so hot and humid (moved from zone 3 MN, so it's quite a change!). The addition of your tropical forest is super cool. I've been creating a garden out of a suburban lawn and chipping away. Up next is my tropical fruit tree forest. It should've been first but I wasn't able to start there due to hurricane Ian (putting it in my backyard). Anyway, thanks for a great tour video and I look forward to your videos when you get them out. I'm impressed by the amount you have been able to get done!
Your organization and dedication is inspiring! I'm in my 20s and have always dreamed of my own place with a mix of subtropicals and temperate cultivars and it's inspiring to see you pull it off in Sacramento. My wife is Brazilian and seeing which cultivars work and which don't is so useful as we'll likely buy our first home in the Sacramento area as well and want to grow fresh fruits to remind her of home. Having your videos is such an amazing resource to leverage and I can't wait til I get to plan a orchard/ garden! Cheers - Cole
Thank you Cole! Sacramento has an amazing climate for farms and gardens which allows us to grow a vastly diverse range of crops. I’ll be share all of the details and steps I took to create my food forest in upcoming videos
I love the look of your midnight roma tomatoes. This year, I got a bunch of bumblebee tomatoes seedlings as "surprise" plants. Surprise because the farmer didn't label them or something. LOL 😂 Got to try something new. What do you do with the extra food from your garden? I've sundried my tomatoes in my solar oven in the past. I haven't gotten that much of a harvest to do that this year. It's more that my neighbors eat from there too, which I'm very happy about. My tomatoes seeded themselves and I got a bunch of seedlings from them. Anyways, I love your tours and will be saving your how-to garden planning videos.
Thanks for inspiring me Kyle ! I have growing maracujá in my garden for the last year here in southern Brasil. The juice of this fruit it's one of my favorites, and I'm so exciting for the harvest this year.
Love it! I enjoy all of your videos, but this was probably my favorite video that you have done thus far. I dig a good ol garden tour. Your plot is jam packed!

@@urbanfarmstead thank you😎
Kyle! I'm always so AMAZED at your garden's bounty. Everything seems so prolific, happy and healthy 🎉. Thoroughly impressed every time 😊 Great work, it shows!
Thank you Andrea!
Dang! That’s full-on Martha Stewart!
Haha, thanks!
The aesthetics of your garden are blended perfectly with functionality. I definitely took some notes. I have a backyard food forest/kitchen garden project in Connecticut 6b, so I really appreciate what's gone into this...lots of work but it's a true gift.
Thank you! It feels amazing to be creating and enjoying my dream garden
Wow, I didn't watch the video of your tropical orchard before, because I already live in the subtropical zone. But I didn't expect your tropical orchard with so many varieties, it's amazing.
Thank you so much!
Wow so much abundance! Your garden is such an inspiration! Thanks for sharing it with us 😍
Thank you
Hi Kyle!
Oh my goodness!!!
You're definitely a professional.
Bro I can't believe how much different verities of plants you fit into your pretty small area!
Thank you for sharing your garden's beauty with us.
Can see how much love you have for the plants. Thank you for sharing your wonderful world for us.
Thank you
This tour was really fulfilling!
The most beautiful garden I have seen. I am inspired by this and you have given me such wonderful ideas.
I genuinely blown away! This is insane!!!! How could you possibly grow so many varieties of plants with such different needs? Like I've been to LA and San Diego a bunch and I didn't even see this many tropical plants in the gardens I visited! Aren't they warmer climates than you?
Passion, persistence, and curiosity I guess. Yes, Southern California would be much better for the tropical plants
Best garden on the internet!! Love all the content bro
I appreciate that! It’s certainly my dream garden
You have created a piece of heaven there! Really enjoy your channel and always get inspiration on some new plants to try. Thanks for sharing your hard work.
So nice of you
Your garden looks so lush at [9:29]. You clearly put a lot of love and care into it
I've loved watching the fruit trees from planning, planting, to now!
Thank you! That sounds like a great idea!
Wow!!! sooo many varieties... most are new to me.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for visiting
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful bountiful garden. It has really inspired me to start planning a food forest.
Such a beautiful and bountiful garden! I am amazed at how you maximized the space to be able to plant all those fruit trees and vegetables.
OMG!! incredible diversity and very well documented. Thank You.
Reminder, all conflicts end in a garden!
Wow! I love your orchard and garden Sir! It is well planned and you are really into the details. Simply amazing!
@@urbanfarmstead Awesome
Awesome! Yes, they are delicious!
Love it! I enjoy all of your videos, but this was probably my favorite video that you have done thus far. I dig a good ol garden tour. Your plot is jam packed!
Thank you so much! I’ll keep doing more like this
This is the best garden I've ever seen anywhere on You Tube it is thriving and yields so much fruits and veges..you're such a awesome gardener
Not only is your garden productive, it’s also very beautiful! I just got a house with a yard so this is giving me lots of inspiration!😊
I really enjoy the tour. I am amaze by the variety of plants you have in your garden. I am especially impressed with the different types of tomatoes you grow. More video please!
Thank you so much!
Your garden looks so amazing! You sure have a unbelievably green thumb. If I had a garden like yours I would spend my whole day in it. Keep up with the great work! 😊
Thank you! I do spend the entire day here whenever I’m home
Beautiful garden & tour! So healthy & prolific- we would LOVE to see more- like garden maintenance- & videos on your seed starting/ cutting techniques would be soo intriguing 🤞🤞 as welll as where you source all these amazing varieties! Sooo many questions for your soo little time! Thanks for sharing when you can!
You’re the best - thanks for the update! The food forest is so epic. Thanks for all your help with these videos. We’re just up the road in Loomis and I put in 40 trees and a few hundred square feet of garden over the past couple years based on many of your recommendations 😊
Thank you! Wow that’s awesome! I bet it’s great! I’m so glad you’re finding my videos helpful
I’m just always excited for your videos. I don’t care about editing this came out just fine.

I love your garden. It's so organized and beautiful ❤ you also utilized your space very efficiently!
Thanks so much! 😊
@urbanfarmstead thank you for coming back! I've been waiting for more videos from you, especially on how you created your forest garden. 😊
Thank you so much from South Africa. My property is much the same size as yours and that gives me hope and a lot of ideas to do the same whilst it being neat and tidy as that is important and my garden is currently not tidy at all. Thank you for opening up your personal space for us. ❤
Thank you! I like having a tidy garden too
