My God! This project is the most complex on this side of the London Gardens! It's hardened in case of nuclear war. While this is a fantastic channel, the time and money investment to do a project to this degree of completion scares the hell out of 75% of would-be gardeners. There are other ways to achieve results without this level of execution. Make no mistake, that this is not criticism rather a rare YT declaration of excellence. But I'm exhausted just watching it.
You are multi talented and detail oriented. Your videos are amazing as you explain each process so well. One of the most hard working people I’ve seen. Happy gardening and keep those videos coming as it encourages more people to want to grow their own vegetables, fruits and flowers.
My husband & I watched this video probably 14 times to get everything set up for our garden. Thank you so much for putting the time into these videos, and the way you set the video up made it easy for us to refer back to and check our work. We ripped out our lawn & im so excited for the front yard garden.
The attention to detail, and not skipping over any step was amazing! this has been by far extremely helpful, hats off to you for and thank you for sharing such a wonderful teaching!
Wish me luck as I am fully converting my backyard into a garden. Learning how to propagate has saved me so much money. Any tips on grafting and air layering faster? I just made my own cloning station that works amazing with tomato clipping.
I will be, but it going to take a bit before I can get them edited because I'm in the middle of another large project now. For early access to more details about the rest of the process including bed building, my soil blend, irrigation etc. see my Instagram highlights for this project. IG link in video description
I bought 4 raised beds this year to put in my backyard flanking my back door. I just love how yours are set up to walk outside and your garden is right there!
I loved your previous garden, but I really like what you've done so far. It's very neat, tidy, functional and beautiful. I look forward to seeing the rest of the videos 👍
@@urbanfarmstead I have a question about a bare root ultra dwarf apple tree I recently purchased. The center leader seems to be dead. Should I cut the tree down below the 3 branches it still has in hopes of it growing a new modified center leader and new branches?
Kyle, I remember being introduced to your gardening passion/abilities a few years ago in a Better Homes and Gardens issue and then finding your YT channel to be able to follow your work. Your knowledge, work ethic, and ability to teach are absolutely second to none. You have done an amazing job of transforming your property and you are an encouragement to all of us as we continue to either start and/or improve our gardens. Happy for you and proud of you for the work you do and the harvest(s) you get. Perfect video!
Wow! You are an amazingly detailed gardener. I don't think I have the energy or OCD to pull this off. All I gotta say is you better not change your mind 2 years down the road!
Absolutely incredible. I’m browsing TH-cam to see some ideas for raised garden beds for my aging parents. They love to garden but still do it old school and planting directly onto the floor. Your video is meticulously made and your raised beds look like they will last decades. There’s so much work put into the leveling of the floor that it’s a bit intimidating. Thank you for sharing your work. I can only hope that I can create something decent like your garden. 💚
I am also in Sacramento and I aspire for it to be similar to yours. It’ll take us much longer because of money but seeing your garden is so motivational
You are a very talented hardworking young man. You have designed Clean Farming, and Set up ways to make your garden have outside tidyness and good draining for water control. Very Ecolab Friendly.
Where can I order a team of 4 Kyles to setup my greenhouse and pathways?😂 Thank you for your videos! It's very nice to have your regional specific knowledge and experience!
LOOKS awesome, LOVE those raised beds....been following you for a long, long time, great content and love your videos.... cause you do things the right way...no short cuts...Your the hardest working guy!!! look forward to more from you,
You are truly amazing & talented. Helping my daughter with her urban garden & I am so happy we found your videos. We are watching all of them. Thank you for sharing such detailed tips & tricks. Keep them coming!
I’ve been following you for a long time, I saved the magazine article from your former garden because of your greenhouse and was an instant follow on all social media. You make me feel like I can have a really nice garden because you explain everything so well, it clicks for me. I’m getting older so I’d better get my garden set up like yours while I can still do the hard work. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Kyle for showing what's possible here in Sacramento! With your inspiration I finished Part 1 of my dream garden just in time for this spring planting. My dad told me to leave a comment here telling you we had a blast building two redwood raised beds (4'x13') and (4'x15') out in my front yard with river rock paths. You did a thorough job, at some times crossing the line of OCD when it comes to growing vegetables. Don't worry, I danced that line the whole time with my project as well when I was treating the raised beds like furniture pieces. Attention to detail and a little extra thought in the process makes work like ours stand above the rest. Next Project is transforming my old in ground garden space in the backyard to a fruit tree forest like you did as well. Keep up the dedicated work and best of luck this growing season!
I love your orchard videos (I added 5 fruit trees to my suburban yard thanks to you!), but this has to be my new favourite video. Your patience and attention to detail is amazing and I can only imagine how long this took. Can't wait to see the next videos in this process!!
Wow. I've been following you on IG for years and never knew you had such a spectacular TH-cam channel. Incredible. These videos are gems and I can't believe how much you put into them!!!!
Kyle. Dude, you did a really awesome job. Man I made a mistake by not putting cardboard down on the ground before I put in the mulch. Now all the weeds and grass are coming through. But still nice to have 4 garden beds all seeded up for spring. Keep up the good works. Super impressive.
The attention to detail is next level. I want to do that weed barrier around my synthetic grass to keep roots from getting under it and disrupting it. Not sure i could do 12in.. maybe 6 or 8 inches.
Thank you. I’m happy to share. It’s unfortunate that a lot of people share advice on many of these platforms don’t have the experience to know whether or not they are giving good advice. Which causes some people to see this level of work as “overkill” because they are so used to seeing other people doing similar things an “easier way” by cutting corners. Do it right, or do it twice 👍🏻
I love your videos! So informative. I would probably never do any of this in my garden, but after watching your videos I always feel like I could if I wanted to.🤣 Beautiful job!
Thank you! It’s certainly a lot of work, but one of the reasons I make these videos and break them down this way is to show that most people can do them if they’re able bodied and willing to put in the work
