Does this bracket keep the pump higher than the original bracket with the original location? And am I able to use the Cat fuel & water separators with this bracket?
With our brackets, the new short style Fass filters (which measure 5.5 in. in length) are tucked completely flush / hidden behind the frame rail. We don't use CAT filters in house so don't unfortunately have one hand to reference but if you compare your CAT filter length to the 5.5 in. for the Fass models that should give you a good indication of how much the bigger filters will hang down below the frame with our mount.
What you see in the images of this video is just some black plastic corrugated wiring conduit that our team uses on installations to clean up the look of the finished setup.
Good question! The particular installation we had on the lift for this video was on a crew cab long box truck with stock rake which placed the lowest point on the tank at the front of the truck when it was sitting on level ground. The placement shown made for the cleanest installation, an improvement over the factory draw straw pickup, and was not a concern for the daily / work use this truck was going to see. In a competition application where you would be running less fuel for weight reasons and the vehicle is more likely to be pitched rearward consistently due to heavy acceleration and suspension squat to aid weight transfer, you would want to place the sump at the lowest point toward the rear of the tank. Baffling helps, but ultimately you want to be mindful of how you will use the vehicle when placing the sump as there will always be a vehicle attitude that will not work well with your chosen location at a given fuel quantity. If you have questions about what mounting location is right for your application, please give us a call at 630-277-8239 and our team would be happy to help!
I installed a fass on my lml without this bracket and the stuff that came in the kit. Same location as yours so what does this bracket do in top of that?
Hi Timothy, our LML bracket changes the pump mounting location from outside the driver's side frame rail as described in the FASS installation manual using the included mounting brackets, to inside the frame rail in front of the fuel tank tucking the pump out of sight and moving it out of the path of road debris. If you have additional questions about this part, please give us a ring at the shop (630-277-8239) and our team would be happy to help.
Check out the bracket that Longhorn Fab makes. It kinda relocates it up a little but also has a guard that goes around the filters. Thoroughbred diesel had a nice install video on here.
Unfortunately our brackets are not compatible with the 2015 LML regular cab long bed trucks due to differences in configuration to the crew cab models. You would be looking at mounting the pump in Fass's standard recommended location outside of the frame rail for that setup.
We use and sell G&R Diesel sumps. They are available for order at WCFab.com and if you watch the video again there’s a card that appears while the sump is on screen that you can click and will take you right to it on our site.
Awesome bracket. Install went great. Cant see it. I would recommend this bracket to anyone.
Scott Allen thanks for being our customer!
Just ordered one can't wait to relocate that pump!!!
Federal regulations seem to prohibit a sump type pickup
Use some heater hose zip tied around the hoses to prevent chafing
Great looking product 👍🏻
Will this work with the Titan 62 gallon installed on a 2007 2500HD Classic Long Bed?
Our bracket is not designed for compatibility with oversize aftermarket fuel tank options.
LOVE IT GOING TO GET ME ONE

What is the material you use to encase the fuel lines to protect them for being cut? Is it just wire loom or something different?

Can this location still be used if you are using the heating probe from Fass? Wondering due to the length of the wiring harness they provide.
Yes, our bracket is compatible with the heater kits that Fass offers for their pumps.
What a great looking set up! I'd like to get one for my 15 LML, what is that sump you installed in your video?
We use G&R diesel Sumps. We have them in stock and they can be purchased from the website.
Why did you put the sump so far in the front of the tank???

What do you do for the 01-10 Extended Cab trucks?
Ya I wanna know too. So worried I’m gonna rip open a filter and get stuck somewhere.
Check out the bracket that Longhorn Fab makes. It kinda relocates it up a little but also has a guard that goes around the filters. Thoroughbred diesel had a nice install video on here.
Will this work with an Airdog II 4G?
I’ve had the Airdog ll 4G for months and haven’t had time to install. Maybe glad I didn’t if this will work for us too Mark!
Airdog bracket sandwiches the frame. You can mount it inside the frame. No need for this product
For 01-10 I'm assuming we have to drill out holes in the frame?
Nope! there are holes existing on an OEM frame bracket that are used.
What do the standard model customers do? 2015 lml standard cab long bed

@WCFab do you have an install video for that
I am about to do a fass and a titan fuel tank on a 05 sierra crewman sub. Will this still fit?
Oh never mind. I should have watched the whole video.
Does this work with the fass 250 gph pumps?
Yes absolutely, no in the mounting points on the larger GPH Fass pumps vs. say a 100 or 165.
Do I have to drill holes for my 2016 DMX
Our LML crew cab bracket makes use of factory mounting holes. No drilling required.
What sump was that on the LML?
We use and sell G&R Diesel sumps. They are available for order at WCFab.com and if you watch the video again there’s a card that appears while the sump is on screen that you can click and will take you right to it on our site.
WCFab is mounting the sump close to the front of tank your best place? I’ve seen guys put it under the factory pickup
I should let you guys look under my c&c when I was there to take measurements 🤦🏻♂️
Nice
