Smells were always on top of my mind. Especially as a weekender, while in storage I felt that the heat would bake the tanks making the smell worse and lingering. (Hey, member here by the way, are the perks still working? Some of the links are not working)

We figured out the egg smell from the water heater.
We use a water softener and we needed to switch from a Magnesium Anoid to an Aluminum Zinc Anoid.
All I had to do was switch it out I didn't clean the tank.

Love your videos. Hate your QR codes. I typically run away from anyone that uses them. I'm not saying you do this, I'm just saying I NEVER scan QR codes. Those things are a trojan horse for people to abuse ignorant cell phone users.

I use the pinesole method, I clean the tank out. The sewer gas smell never goes away when I flush

I had a similar problem last summer. Tried Happy Camper, Unique, and the Pinesol-calgon method. Nothing seemed to work. Got to looking and discovered that the pipe going from the toilet to the black tank was not straight, but had a 45° elbow in in it. I trued cleaning it with a couple of sprays, but they wouldn't do the job. Tried to scrub with a toilet brush (with a rope attached to the handle in case I dropped it.) The brush would not go past the very top of the bend. Going to try using a brush designed for the vent line of a dryer that has a flexible rod attached to it to see if I can clean that bend and tge remaining length of pipe with it. If not, I will try a Cpap hose brush. If none of those work, may try a hose with a jet nozzle on it.

I have contacted this company 3 times. Phone calls and emails over the last 3 months. I have yet to be contacted by them. I am very disappointed.

Can you ask them about flushing out FW tanks? I have found many takes have rust/sand or other debris on the flat bottom areas mainly. When replacing the broken elbows on tank drains and always can see it when look in hole into tank.
