It’s nice to see that Rizzos is still in business I grew up in Astoria in the 1950s and I loved their pizza it was the best. The last time I ate there was 1975 because that’s when I moved to Florida I still dream about it.
This is the exact style I prefer for pizza. You don't see this style too often. Thin square pizza with a high thin crust. And I appreciate the precision they have making these pies. Each one is like a work of art.
I am amazed on how they prepared each plate of their pizza. It is like each has perfected through time. If I can fly there certainly I will look for the place and try each flavor. Love it.
I love that they do it their own way and not just the same as everyone else. Looks like each pie is made with an eye to artistic detail - each ingredient is intentionally placed, like a beautiful flower arrangement. Bravo!
Keeping the old school style is the best way to keep ,fresh and cooked very well with the right ingredients, will keep the originality ,of who the food tastes and made.
Time moves slowly when I'm on the go with you. There's something about letting the images and sound wash over my mind. It's so relaxing! Thanks for this!

I shouldn’t watch these videos when I’m slightly hungry, now I want to eat my phone! 😉 Just give me the cheese pizzas and the rolls with lots of sauce for dipping!😋😋😋😋😋🤤🤤🤤🤤
Your next stop needs to be in Queens Village, at Gaby's on Hillside Ave. and Francis Lewis Blvd. Best pizza in all of NY (that's right, I said it...fight me!)!!!
I feel sorry for the rest of the United States that has to eat "American Style Pizza" not made how it is in New Jersey, NYC (and the boroughs), Connecticut and Rhode Island. Traditional NYC thin crust is amazing, which I grew up on, but I recently discovered really thin crust Grandma slices as shown in this video. Grandma slices are not cheap, usually $4 for a small rectangular slice as shown. Near a relative's home in Lakehurst, NJ there is a place that only charges $1 after 8 PM. Their rectangular slices are similar to this, but they roll up the end crust, use more of that style cheese and add lots of fresh basil leaves and ribbons of pesto. It is so thin that it crunches like a cracker and the rolled end crust is like a Grissini breadstick. So much flavor! Great pizza is all about making the dough and dough management. Great pizza is an artisan practice of the right amount of dough, sauce and cheese. Great pizza is purist and the only toppings are garlic, garlic powder, basil leaves and pesto. And if you dip great pizza in ranch sauce...shame on you! That is so disgusting! It is similar to enjoying a NY Dry Aged Steak with ketchup. Pizza and vinegar do not belong in the same sentence.
there is something i dont understand well (i m not american)... everytime a video here mention america (new york, etc..), it's always seems that the restaurant or store is owned by latino (talking spanish), indians (talking indians) or asians (talking chinese or korean or i dont know exactly)... is there really that much restaurant in america that are owned by non american people? (i mean, classic white american person.. no racism.) it's soostrange to me, because it doesn't feel like it's america but more like mexico, asia or india XD or maybe you just prfer to visit this kind of place for this specific reason. maybe they offer a different ambient and such. again, no racism or anything. i m not american so it's sound kind of strange to me to see that many times in theses videos. If someone canexplain me, that would be nice, thank you :D
@@monjapino6334 i know, same goes for african-american (or whatever they call them, i dont know exactly). America is a big country with many people from all origins. It's just that i see more people like this than white american people in teh videos. i m just curious to know if there is a reason. or if it's just luck/random.
It always makes me laugh ,people saying this isn't pizza that's not pizza. That don't belong on pizza. If you don't like it don't order it or go there ,simple. Look at a hamburger. How many different toppings have been added on a burger? Does that not make them a burger? No it makes some excellent and some not so good. But that's to me, my opinion. Many others will love it and think it's a great burger. It's to bad people just can't overlook what they dislike and let others enjoy it if they do.
You can't just slap it on any pizza it has to be an Hawaiian. Little hits of sweetness do something when combined with the fattiness and char of the finely shredded ham.

Wow really long time ago right
Wow, 47 years ago! I’d make a special trip to Rizzo’s on the 50th year.
Rizzo’s on Steinway street in Astoria. Been eating there since junior high. That was 1990. Wow how time flies. Thanks for the memories.
How much dolar ? 😛
How much did 1 slice cost back then and how much does it cost now??
Blink of an eye 👁

Love Rizzo’s! Went there almost every day for lunch when I was in P.S. 6, that was in the early ‘60s. Would love a slice now!
Thin crust is the best! 😍
Thin and saucy. Love it!!!!
Ham & pineapple goes with BBQ sauce! Fabulous looking pizzas.
That looks so good! I bet those garlic knots are tasty!
Ah pizza!! amazing . I feel like eating. video was so satisfying
A pizza without tomato sauce is like a day without sunshine
That is exactly the right amount of sauce! Looks awesome!

The plain one in the rectangular tray with the rectangular cheese looks the best
You guys totally need to do Pica’s in Upper Darby, Pa. right outside of Philly. Tina Fey is a big fan.
ABSOLUTELY ICONIC!!

Everything looked delish , I wish more places in California sold buy the slice. So hard to find .

Next time in New York, I gotta go to Rizzo's.

Looks great and easy
Man I would love to eat there! Gots to try out some of these pizza making techniques!

That cookie sheet pizza looks just like the old chef boyardee boxed style back in the late fifties...

Oh, thin 🍕 pizzas! I love it! This video is so " cruel"🤭😍
yes
One day I hope to own a pizza place like Rizzo’s so then I could have such amazing pizzas every single day.
You might need to own a hospital as well with all the cholesterol intake.

Bet they weren't using canola oil in 1959. Better build back butter!
That’s the meaning of you can’t rush perfection.
FRANK RIZZO! R-I-ZZ-O !
It sounds and looks really good but I think it needs a little more cheese
Thank you !!!! Sorry but one tiny little sliver of cheeze just doesn't cut it for me

The sauce looks like jam , wonder what the dough recipe is
I'd like to know what the sauce recipe is instead!

These workers ARE SKILLED WORKERS…that is a fact!
Still can’t figure out why anyone would put pineapple on a pizza. Love pineapple, but it has its place. Not on my pie!
Same thing of me saying, why would people put hotdog wieners on a pizza. Love hotdogs, but it has it's place, not on my pizza.
On my pizza just a lot of cheese and pepperoni
You can't just slap it on any pizza it has to be an Hawaiian. Little hits of sweetness do something when combined with the fattiness and char of the finely shredded ham.
My middle name is Rizzo and i leave in Brazil!
どれも旨そうだ!
お客はみんな3切れとかで買うの?
一つ一つは薄い生地のピザだが
丸々一枚食べる訳じゃないよね
Sembra tutto delizioso, grazie per aver condiviso questo video!
Thin crust but looks like deep dish odd looks good
Dig that metal rolling pin!
Thin crust is the best , my mouth is watering 😋
How many pizzas you cook a day 🤔 it looks tasty only in NYC and the Windy City the pizza capital of the world
7:25 was some Final Destination film production
I LOVE DIFFERENT KINDS OF PIZZA - BUT THEIR'S WAY TO MANY WRONG THINGS GOING ON AT THIS JOINT...! WTF..?
Don't get me wrong? Dough is good but you need that good balance like I just watched 😁 👍
I take it this place don't get that busy because my God they make pizzas so slow...
