I know it's been a year since this video but is that female a golden base flowerhorn?

Definitely in her blood but more Texas body shape, she made some killer red Texas even the unfaded ones look so good

I was going to buy some young red x green texas cichlid online in aus
I was just wondering if these fish are still breeding that you know of? These are the exact fish from the photos on the website in that same tank.
Just want to know if I can trust aquaholics and if you possibly ended up selling the pair to them?

Have been thinking about getting some offspring from this pair for a few weeks now but was a bit hesitant and then i saw your video of the parents so I finally bit the bullet and ordered a few today 😁
Hoping they make it to WA safely I can't wait!

@@worthamillion1069No thats a carpintis, commonly referred to as pearl cichlid. Texas doesnt get that black on their body. They can cross breed though. Carpintis is on the mexican side, the cyanoguttatus/Texas on american side.

@@tomastorasen9164 haha its a laugh reading this no offence. its not a pearl cichlid. Its a Green texas which is indeed a carpintis and is indeed a super green texas carpintis and is black because of its breeding skirt. Look it up on TH-cam of a breeding pair and you will see that the green texas go black like that when in breeding mode or woth fry you are mistaken on the info

@@worthamillion1069 that's very confusing. Pearlscale cichlid is better to use. The only real name is the latin one off course, where we agree what this is. Calling the carpintis a Texas confuses people because it's the other one I mentioned that originally had that name for a long time. Then you can call it super green and so on if you want. Problem is people use these nick names differently all over the world, then no one knows which fish they're talking about.

Pre hard to get these in australia especially a few years ago. Mote getting around now thanks to all the help of exotic back yard breeders
