This was so heartfelt - my son is schizophrenic - he’s 25 and also a twin. Yeah it’s heartbreaking every day. But I appreciated this wonderful doctor’s faith and in wanting to understand the plight of those with this horrific disease and yes it is a disease like cancer and diabetes for you do not choose it. And his family feel helpless most of the time. Karsten lives here with us - his mum and dad and his twin lives locally.
@@martinasikk6162 thankyou for your kindness - he is doing better but it is a cycle like being on a hampster wheel 🛞 we’re all on it with him- when he’s good we’re all good sorts thing. He is on a different medicine - see how it goes. But he is very lonely. Making friends is extremely difficult. When times get tough - they slip away. Thanks again for reaching out. Take good care of yourself Martina 🌹
I feel so sorry about this doctor . Her brother died of the side effects of the antipsychotic medications he was taking . The antipsychotic medications cause untimely deaths As she said there is not going to be a cure but at least the scientists hopefully will discover more effective medications for schizophrenia. I have been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and I am taking only half a milligram of the antiosychotic medication called Abilify and I am doing much better on very low dose I am on
There is a cover word used for trauma in mental health - schizophrenia. The sheer pressure of having to keep up & do for others when you have no time to do for yourself, combined with unrealistic expectations, is too much. The social reasons are not discussed in psychiatry...this is only talked about in psychology. Trauma can be something that would not bother someone with a supportive background, but for those who endured a less than ideal life situation, trauma can be the absence of safety, emotionally speaking. We exist in relation to others..this is often where the problem lies. A lot of people grow up with very non-nurturing experiences, to put it very mildly.
Also the social trauma is a cover up for destructive side effect of the vaccine; are many community al over the world who not vaccinate their kids, and there are not any chronic illness at all ! USA is the most vaccinated country in the world !
do i need to move to australia for this treatment? the most painful part of my illness is the fact that i can no longer function at the level i use to be. Sure the delusions are gone but the dibilitating deficiets are what keep me up at night.
Neuro mag. For. Anxiety panic attacks. And lithium oratate 5 mg twice a day. And b comes 2 times a day. Melatonin at night and this makes the meds work much better. Hope this works as well as it has for us.

If you do then you will become a zombie.
@@EkaraLibrae can you explain?if some body will leave the medication then somebody will become zombie?
Endure until cured
If only it were that easy. Are you cured yourself? I wish I could be that easily cured.
@@stephengitau1830 There is of course no cure. It can only be managed at best.
