There is some debate whether the plastic hood vent cover (bottom side of hood) should be removed (or not) to achieve intended aerodynamic performance. Have you done any testing? The cover appears to be designed to catch water and debris like pine needles. Is that the purpose? Some guys have removed them, claiming the engine runs cooler or air flows over the car better.
Do you still recommend the alibaba screen? Or do you recommend the Beat-Sonic? Ik you don't have the Beat-Sonic, but if you've looked into it - what would you recommend now? They're ab same price and I think Beat-Sonic is more local to us in Cali...
Great question. I still recommend the alibaba screen. Only because never had these issues come about. But you can rest assured that i would make a video if this screen goes bad on me
Car definitely doesn’t turn well and I didn’t realize that car shake when breaking on the highway was because of the lca bushings. Holy smokes I’m gonna buy that first before I get the exhaust upgrade, thank you!
Thoughts on aftermarket exterior parts? Do you think they're worth it? E.g. NOVEL CF side fender (which you have), hood vortex, CF C-west wing?, CF mirror caps etc...
I can make a video about that too since I have multiple exterior pieces as well. My thoughts right off the bat however is that the artisan spirit fender vents and rowen rear bumper extensions are needed to highlight the body lines of the car.
Barry, how rough is the ride with the Figs bushings? I had the RR racing (street version) and didn't like about the ride quality, and most of all the maintenance of the bushings. Hate re-lubing it every 6 months(or less). I'm looking forward on getting the new version of RR's bushing, the race version, which is like the one you have (enclosed and maintenance free). I would probably can deal with the ride roughness if I don't need to take it out twice(or more) a year. I have the RCF/GSF bushings and your truly correct - car is now back to boat ride.
Haha im glad someone agrees with me about the boat feel. But um I had rr racing usrs before the figs solids. They say solids you feel it more because there is no polyurethane. I didnt feel any of the increased nvh but maybe its because I have x2 8in subs in the trunk. I had a good experience with usrs i just changed to figs solid precision bearings to save the tires more. But it also depends on what suspension you have that will absorb the road harshness since its the struts/shocks that receives the road info and it has sends the info back to the inside cabin. My experience with nvh tolerance will most likely be higher than yours but overall i like the way usrs or figs solids feel, no nvh really.
2015 tvd model as well. What do you think about weight reduction? I won't remove interiors cause that makes experience from daily uses worse, and won't go for cf hood as it seems quite dangerous. What i can think of right now is to swap for lighter battery, rims and exhaust(maybe novel header+exhaust, nice sound but quite expensive). Thx
The benefits of weight reduction is greater than adding power mods like Intake Header Exhaust believe it or not. Weight reduction will allow our v8s to really shine as proven or shown in one of my videos about the track built ISF by illwillem on ig who took off around 700lbs. I think even 100lbs in weight reduction will get you to be faster than any other rcf with an intake and exhaust. The first weight reduction areas to target is the unsprung weight so the rims, lug nuts, brake calipers, brake rotors, suspension struts/shocks.
Quick question: I'm a suspension virgin and got a used 17 RCF last year with leaks in the front and rear struts. I daily drive the car and don't intend on taking it to the track but I'm thinking of replacing them on a tight budget. I looked at the BC DS Racing coilovers which are roughly $300 cheaper than the RR- Racing ones do you think it's worth the extra $$? Also for a casual driver like myself who loves ride quality over racing performance, do you think the bearing bushing is worth it?
@@slappagon should always get the bushings. Go for a lower rating one if you think it will make your ride harsher. Youll only sacrifice your inner tire if you dont do the bushings. All up to you.
Solid list .. I'm about to pull the trigger on the coilovers for my GS-F, all others already cared for (except screen). Coils made a big difference at the track for you?
Thanks. This list was more so a recommendation as to what parts I would recommend changing out first. Big difference. I have another video about all the different suspensions types I track on. I track on swift springs and stocks, then tein monosport and now cks. Coilovers in general just helped with less body roll and gave me that “planted” feeling. I don’t think there is a screen for the GSF yet. Am I right? Do you guys have the updated infotainment?
@@thehuangbros yeah I been getting a substantial amount of body roll, trying to plant the car better. Will have to check video on the CKS, on the fence between them and the RR R&T V2 since the V1 is not sold anymore. I'd add Figs UCAs to your list, not sure about the RCF OEM camber but the GS-F is very limited and the UCAs helped substantially after alignment.
@@Dre01SS you have the figs uca then it sounds. So this video was more geared towards like a new F owner that just wanted the basic mods to make F better. But if I was to make a second video of Mods I really recommend, you can bet it is on there. So CKS, Silvers, V2, all made from same factory. Just know that. Only difference is valving.
@@thehuangbros that was my understanding on the 2 as well... Given the likely limited performance difference I may swing for the RR and the $500 savings will cover track fees and insurance for a 1 day event 🤙 I do have the UCAs, and true, probably the 6th mod after the 5 you listed.
Hey RCF brother great video by the way I have a 2016 RCF ever since I bought it I couldn't agree more about the infotainment however I never knew there such a thing as a replacement for our screen thank you for pointing that out how hard is it to replace?

I have not consider pedal commander or the apexi controller. I feel like it isn't something that would add reliability to the car. There are many times on forums that people shared these devices not working later on.
Go for the screen yes but be careful with the exhaust choice. Its not the loudest but it is loud when you accelerate of course but it doesnt sound as loud as every other exhaust systems out there. If you want loud loud go to other brands other than ARK
That is a chassis brace made by RR Racing. Only they sell since they make it. Not really needed unless you do hard cornering activities with the car. Unless you want it for show.
Hi bro, have you ever tried the high air flow engine filter like K&N? I just bought and installed mine on my f but after that I heard a lot of people said they will cause some damage to the engine. How do you think
The oiled filter is the one you have to avoid. The oil from the filter will get sucked in overtime and overtime will get caught on the MAF sensor giving it incorrect readings. Dry filter is what everyone recommends.
hi barry im planning to upgrade my exhaust what do you think about borla vs invidia q 300 just want something more agressive but not to the sound of mustang or challenger i had bad experieniece with tanabe medallion touring axle back very loud drone sound at 3000 rpm
Hey what sup Ian. Ive heard Borla in person and its a really good note. Have you heard muffler/resonator deleted exhausts yet? Borla is like a nice pitch of that. Invidia gives it a nice tone but I have not heard it in a rcf but have heard it in a RC350 and it sounds really good. However that is comparing V8 to V6. I think invidia still keeps the exhaust note close to JDM. I dislike sounding like a mustang/challenger too. For drone wise, Ive never sat in the car in these so I wouldnt be able to comment on the drone.
My exhaust is the Ark Performance exhaust. I have a comparison video of Ark Performance resonated vs Non resonated. If that isnt enough, I can make a super detailed video about that exhaust for you and those curious about it.
Also wanted to say Thanks for your videos! You and a few others really helped me out on making a decision to buy the RC F! But I like your videos the best! You could be a great teacher! Job well Done!

It does have dynamic radar cruise control. I can set it to 3 different distance settings from car in front of me. It is worth it in my opinion. I had an RCF before with no dynamic and it kinda sucked because I had to always footbrake and at that point had to restart Cruise Control all over again. My brakes are stock oem rotors. I have Stoptech stainless steel lines, Motul RBF 600 fluid, and Endless MX72 brake pads. It stops very good and no fade on track. The cover appears to be designed to catch water and debris like pine needles. Is that the purpose? Some guys have removed them, claiming the engine runs cooler or air flows over the car better.
I will have to do an active test with my obd2 reader
Love the Majin hoodie. I got one just like it
Vegeta ftw
We demand a sound clip of that unique sound!!!
This was great!
If I update the screen, can I still use the control pad?
Yes. If you do, go with lexion screen
The LCA bushings wash first mod before anything else. Absolutely no regrets and saves tires.
Biggest change / improvement would be light brake rotors.... rotating mass...inertia.... acceleration... cornering... comfort....
@@thehuangbros Please do! and agreed!
@@samiig626 Thanks for a video idea.
Nice video brother! I have a 2015 IS350. I'm thinking about the LCA bushings.
Do it! Any brand LCA bushings is worth it. Figs or rr racing, doesnt matter. They all work better than the Lexus oems
Love the build👍🏽 noticed the wires are showing on your rear tires need to replace them ASAP!
Most definitely. I guess its what i get for traveling across the US in a RCF haha
@@thehuangbros if your not running a negative camber fitment I would get the alignment checked out, coming from a tire guy🤝
Yeah no negative camber fitment for me, just a -2.5 for the track. Along the way from ca, the rear toe got messed up 🤷🏻♂️
Does the mouse/steering wheel controls still work with the aftermarket touch screen?
They both do but the trackpad is 70% as responsive
Awesome video!
Thanks Amy!
I would suggest the true coilovers from RR Racing. The road and track v2 are good. Essy to install. I have no experience with the DS one
@@thehuangbros thanks! So I can skip the bushings
@@slappagon should always get the bushings. Go for a lower rating one if you think it will make your ride harsher. Youll only sacrifice your inner tire if you dont do the bushings. All up to you.

What is year is that rc F?🔥
I just got my RCF, what is the very first thing you recommend?
What year?
I have a Supra 2.0 I’m thinking of trading it in for this but god do I love my 2.0
Solid list ..
@@Dre01SS ive seen the v2 at rr in person, they have helper springs. Good stuff
Do a 0-60 time on ur car cuz Lexus says 4.5 but a couple TH-cam channels got mid 5s
Mid 5’s is way too slow for an RCF. 2019 2.0T Accord does 0-60 in mid 5’s...
Woah mid 5s is pretty slow. It could be from bad launch.
@@thehuangbros possibly im not sure but you guys should do a 0-60 on ur rcf to see
what rear diffuser is that? the one that covers the toe hook holes?
Hi Tommy. The diffuser you saw is a diffuser I made. The ones covering the holes are the Varis Muffler Guards.
What's your wheel setup?
What is the brand of that strut tower brace ?
Good job...I have a 2015 the pricing does not include labor cost, does it?

None of these includes labor. I dont know the labor costs because I installed all of these myself
Love the wear seen on the tires. What was it hitting
What do you mean by hitting? The mileage?
Do the later model years of the rcf come with the adaptive dampers like on the gsf?
2015 and 2016 does not have avs.
Hey RCF brother great video by the way I have a 2016 RCF ever since I bought it I couldn't agree more about the infotainment however I never knew there such a thing as a replacement for our screen thank you for pointing that out how hard is it to replace?
Hey RCF brother. There are different brands and companies that makes these replacement screens. I actually have a install video on my channel if you want to know the difficulty. I can’t describe the difficulty level because what I find easy may be difficult for you. Just type huang bros android screen. Youll see the install video.

@@danngo5903 woah woah lets not waste money sending a car across the US now haha.
Throttle controller. Have you considered that for the gas pedal lag?
I have not consider pedal commander or the apexi controller. I feel like it isn't something that would add reliability to the car. There are many times on forums that people shared these devices not working later on.
Does the stock RC-F have AVS? Any software issues changing to the coil overs?
2015 is only year without AVS so I changed out to coilovers. Anything 2016 + has AVS and will lose that feature if you switch out.
Are your lap times faster now that you have made the upgrades?
Hell no. Im slow af haha. Im not that good of a driver.
Will that FIGS precision bearing bushing fit the facelift 2020?
Yes
good video,if i have rcf ,i will get that screen and exhaust😁😁 thanks for sharing

Can you post links to where you got the stuff?
sure thing, Ill post in the description.

Haha yeah. Its changed now tho
@@thehuangbros thanks for replying bro. I have already ordered an oem filter from amazon.
@@ys1606 nothing wrong with oem filter but a kn or aFe dry filter or other brands like toms or apexi can get you more air flow and resusable

hi barry im planning to upgrade my exhaust what do you think about borla vs invidia q 300 just want something more agressive but not to the sound of mustang or challenger i had bad experieniece with tanabe medallion touring axle back very loud drone sound at 3000 rpm
Invidia sounds like a full on f1 car
Can you do or do you have a video just on your exhaust system?
My exhaust is the Ark Performance exhaust. I have a comparison video of Ark Performance resonated vs Non resonated. If that isnt enough, I can make a super detailed video about that exhaust for you and those curious about it.
Thanks! I'll check that out and let you know! I'm working on your five things to upgrade list! Thanks Bro!

Does your car have stop and go adaptive cruise?
How do the brakes hold up on track?
It does have dynamic radar cruise control. I can set it to 3 different distance settings from car in front of me. It is worth it in my opinion. I had an RCF before with no dynamic and it kinda sucked because I had to always footbrake and at that point had to restart Cruise Control all over again. My brakes are stock oem rotors. I have Stoptech stainless steel lines, Motul RBF 600 fluid, and Endless MX72 brake pads. It stops very good and no fade on track. I have a track video up that I posted 3 days ago that you can check out if you want to see braking.
@@thehuangbros we have an accord hybrid with ACC as our practical car and a six speed manual NC as our fun car. Hi Rico. My advice is to get a rcf with 3LED instead of 2LED. I tried to convert before when i had a rc350 and you have to change out the whole engine wiring harness to be able to plug in the modules that goes under the 3LED which no one saw before
