Unfairchild in acoustic seemed to retain the transient and make it more alive, along with the sheen. On Vocals it pops out of the speaker. More bold and a healthy amount of top. Drums, the kick reminded me of what the Softube Germanium does. A bit of tight deep beef. Thank you.
Great Video!! The center image of the drums sounds really good. I bought when the priced dropped but didn't want to add it in the middle of a project but added it to my template for my next stuff 😁.
I compared the Unfairchild, the UAD and IK Multimedia's 670 and I found the UAD and the IK to be close. The Unfairchild seemed a little weaker and harder to dial in to me. 😎
Thanks for the video. I haven been playing with the plugin for a few days. I think I personally prefer it on busier sound, such as bus sends(drum busses) and mastering. I am thinking I will get it.
The unfair child does something special with the presence range of a signal, even without considering the analog characteristics it’s modeling. It feels more round and smooth. This version seems perfect for vocals, guitars,, or even mixbus. as to where the other one seems ideal for drums, or more transient information. Due to its more attacky nature, and difference in soundscape. Keep in mind people, this all has to do with even order and odd order harmonics, and what is taking precedence as far as the difference in sound goes.
I like the UAD and how its a little warm/smooth. The unfair is really nice though..I just dont wanna buy another one lol. If i want something pushed to the front I'll usually use a 1176, or the distressor
I already have far too many plugins. To buy another it has to offer something I really can't get already, this doesn't. Not to say that it's bad, just not sufficiently special.
Don't wanna start an argument on that but thinking that the 'almost no difference' changes quite a bit if you add up the harshness or whatever the 'other' plugins present on my project. But any such thing is rectifiable with some tweaking, eq or whatever, so you're sorta right. (see what I did there, bro? 😂)
10 minutes of talking, before you play the PLUGIN, is RIDICULOUS. STOP TALKING AND GET TO THE POINT. Your going to make people turn your videos off, and never return to channel.
I understand what you mean but that’s why there are chapters in the video. If you do not want to hear the background you can move right to the audio in this video. Or check oit some of the shorts which I will publish shortly 😉.
So what do you think of the new Fairchild plugin? Do you like any of the other ones better?

@@VinceJackson1 great, enjoy!
just installed and comparing to my UA version, its what i would consider a bit ore modern sounding and another great tool in the toolbox.
@@recordingwhiz excellent, enjoy!
I think I'm about to do the same. I know this doesn't mean much but I really like the UTA's GUI better compared to the UA version.
@jbva804 definitely give it a try then.

Thanks for providing your experience on a very similar test 👍.

@@brianpayne5773 thanks for your input. Enjoy if you get it. I typically put a Fairchild on my drum bus.

Good choice! Thanks for commenting.
Great work man! 🔥
Thanks 😎
Unfairchild WIN!

Loved it on drums. Didn't like it on the acgtr. More so the Lindell. Nice on the vox too.

Fair enough!
There is almost no difference between the different compressors. No reason to buy it if you have one of the others already.
@@dodgingrain3695 sure, everyone hears it in their own way.

Yes, most compressors sound the same for those who don’t have a developed ear for it.

you know that the hardware sounds better 😂 i clicked anyway 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
😁 if they send me one I’ll test it on the channel 😉
the question is does the hardware sound $10,000 better than the plugin.
@@db4ks I guess that depends on what that sound difference is worth to you, in your situation 😉
