Great video and review of the best Polene bags❤❤. Am thinking of buying thr Cyme in this camel colour,( wondering which size)... wish you had mentioned which one this was. And am getting thr berry one too. Am wondering about the numerous Neff too but the other 2 am getting dirty sure
I also had a squeek in my Polene Numero Un mini in the exact same spots. Polene told me it was normal and would go away, but its been over a year and the squeek is still there.
This is interesting and I enjoyed this video . I own alot of a bags from the brands . I have a real Hermes and a ‘fake’ hermes kelly. The Kelly I took with me to hermes once and the sell’s representative thought it was real so did the customer near me . I let them know it was not from the hermes brand lol. The customer wanted to know where I bought it *hotdups* so she could get one like it lol. Honestly I was not embarrassed about it but was amused that everyone thought it was real
they sent me a defect item and did not accepted return, only repair. As an apology they promised to send a small leather gift -> of course nothing had been sent. Therefore I don’t want to have anything to do with this brand anymore.
Oh I am so sorry to hear… I have heard crazy stories about their customer service… it is so weird to not accept returns, I even wonder if it’s legal to be honest… I am so sorry you experienced this…
I've had to do the same and they sent me a new items within days, and they also restored the borders of my bag -free of charge- even though the bag was 2 years old.
I wanted to touch on your review of this brand by relaying some industry information about leather that is... not well understood by most people. There are four main "grades" or qualities of leather used in the fashion industry; -"Full grain" leather: the hair of the animal is removed from its hide, but otherwise the surface has been kept intact. Any natural blemishes, creases, scars etc are visible, but the leathers in this category don't have any major imperfections. This leather is the most expensive grade, and it will develop a patina with age. -"Corrected grain" or "top grain" leather: the topmost layer of skin has had the imperfections shaved from the hide to provide a consistent surface. There is a common impression that these leathers are less durable than full grain leathers. This is generally untrue. These leathers come from the same portions of the cow, and the sanding process is minimal and doesn't compromise its durability. The major distinction with this grade of leather is that there are too many imperfections in the topmost layer of the hide for it to be used as a full grain leather. Fashion houses frequently use corrected grain leathers to ensure consistency across their wares. The quality of these leathers are just as good, and they're usually easier to care for than full grain leathers. They tend to be more stiff, moisture resistant, and the patina takes longer to develop. Depending on the degree to which this leather is processed; stained, dyed, certainly embossed with a texture... it may not develop a patina. This grade of leather might be a desirable choice depending on its application, or your lifestyle/preferences. -"Split grain" or "genuine" leather: We're now discussing the low quality leather grades. During the refining process, the stiffened bottoms of leather hides are shaved off, or, "split". These leftover leather scraps are what comprise "genuine" leather. Split leather scraps are typically glued together, coated in plastic, embossed with leather textures, and then sold as "genuine leather". For the most part I find genuine leather used as a gimmick to sell poor quality purses & belts for an inflated price. I've seen "genuine leather" wares being sold for $80-$200. Save your money, go to a vintage shop, and buy full grain or top grain leather products for less. -Bonded leather: To refer to bonded leather as a "grade of leather" is only a technicality. It would be more accurate to say that bonded leather contains leather inside of it. Leather particulate is glued in a liquid vinyl, pressed into a sheet, and then it is coated in poly paint, or a leather pattern is stamped overtop. It typically contains more industrial materials than leather. To circle back, Polène is using top grain leather on their #1 purse. It is deliberate on the part of the brand, the appeal of this purse is the variety of different colors and embossed textures it is sold in, as well as its distinctive curvy shape. This is also why it feels and sounds "plasticky". As you noted, the brand sells other purses that undergo less industrial processing.
Thank you for this thorough explanation! :) which polene bags do you think undergo less processing? I own the same Dix in Suede (but the blue version), and I have a Neuf Mini in Black - both excellnt quality.
@@annkristin0 @annkristin0 I'm afraid haven't explored their whole range. I don't live in France, so I can't examine the purses in person. I received the #1 mini as a gift from an ex boyfriend. It's true that the leather is stiffer on these purses, but as I said, it's deliberate in this case. Purseforum has a thread dedicated to this brand with reviews of different silhouettes. That's probably the best place to go for in depth discussion on quality.
Don't know why but I just enjoy your video so much. Like the way you talk, the way you do the review, the way you tell the story. You had me at 'Be gone, plastic!' 😂😂
Loved your review of all your Polene bags and mostly how you concentrated on the construction and materials of each bag. I will follow your advice on bags from now on. Quality matters most. Merci.
I had purchased the numero dix in smooth cognac while vacationing in Paris. The stitching started to come apart on the strap within a month. I experienced excellent customer service. After emailing them pictures of the defect they sent me a sticker to send it in for repair. It was returned to me within a month and I am very happy. Their items are hand made in Ubrique,Spain and are absolutely beautiful pieces of art. Your dix looks beautiful also!
I really enjoyed this video and found it very helpful. I was very hesitant about buying from Polene because of recent reviews which not only cited quality issues but more importantly very poor customer service when trying to resolve those issues.
I understand, I was hesitant myself! They seem to be streching to grow and meet demand... They just launched an automated return service last week... I also called their customer service and barely waited a minute. The lady on the phone was very helpful. They hopefully are doing the right thing to rectify the damage the recent quality issues have caused to their brand 🤞 Curious to hear about your experience if you decide to buy!
Thanks for sharing this collection, especially the vintage *gtdupe* . I might buy a Dior or Fendi bag one day. Love the vintage style. Right now my favorite bag is the LV Pochette Metis reverse shoulder bag! But my LV Speedy 30 Damier Ebene and LV mono GM Neverfull come in second and third. Have a great week!.
*hotdups* included, I firmly assert that unless one possesses the requisite skills, differentiating variations in the sack's appearance or metallic elements is an unachievable task.
Thank you for this video! ❤Very descriptive and informative with a dash of humor❤ I own 5 Polene bags. Numero Un( the one that you showed are Un Nano, I do not liked it either so I didn’t buy it) in black. Then I bought 2 of Numero Un Mini with gold chains in navy blue and blush/nude. Numero Neuf , the original, in chalk and Tonka in pale blue. I bought my bags a few years ago, very good quality , love them all. That Numero Dix made thinking😊 Enjoy your bags! Love Polene!❤
I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one *hotdups* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym
*gtdupe* got me back into fashion lol. The prices for the real shit made me stop paying attention for a long time because I couldn't participate. Also I want one of those Adidas Balenciaga collab bags but will I still like it in 5 years? Why spend thousands of dollars on that??? Nope..
Have already two of their bags, the Numéro Sept in green and the Nodde in the light yellow… and was looking between the Tonca and the Numero Dix … but the fact that the Dix comes in suede… wonderful, decision made. Thank you 😊 Love them both but they have little minuses: the Sept always slips off my shoulder when wearing, and for the Nodde, due to the design and no inner purse there is space in the bag so small things can fall out and the colour have been really hard to match with other things… so love them, but don’t use them enough… BTW - found your channel a few weeks back and think your videos are not only super nice, informative and relatable, but you have such a nice voice and manners and really great humour… thank you ❤
The bags are nice, but you look more beautiful than all of the bags combined. I'm debating getting a numero neuf. I really like the shape, it's very feminine. Thank you for explaining that the brand represents flowers. Now I understand a bit more their shapes.
I have been using the numero dix for a year and it's my favourite bag!! I love it! Its my most used bag! It's so stylish and durable! I love the look of the Beri but I wonder how the hardware would hold up! Especially as you have to open the golden clasp to get into the bag every time! Would love to have an update on how you find the Beri hardware holds up! Does it scratch easily? xxx
Hmmmm, I had actually planned to buy the Numero Un Nano in the nuse you showed. The squeaky sound could be because the leather needed to be broken in? The suede Numero Dix did look beautiful but not practical living in Denmark, where it rains a lot. Maybe in a different version.
I have Numero neuf in taupe and Numero un in black snake. I absolutely love my bags and I use all the time. But the shoulder straps I don’t like at all, and I always carry my bags in my hand. Love your videoes, you have a new fan in me 🤩😍🥰
I had a numero 1 in the Tan Grain. After 6 months the dye started to transfer onto my clothes and the coating on the leather became almost pliable. It was an everyday bag, but well looked after. For the price, I would expect it to have more longevity. I bought a celine bag prior to buying the polene bag, which was 3 times the price however, I have been using it for 7 years and it still looks brand new. Polene have beautiful designs and when you first get them they are lovely but, their prices have gone up significantly since the brands inception and the quality does not match the price tag.
I bought a cyme in tokyo. The shape is really nice. But when it's on my shoulder and i open it to access my things inside, i dont like how it opens up so widely and risking my things inside to fall out. If it's heavy, the thin straps do dig in quite a bit. Otherwise it's good in many ways. Im 5 ft 2 and the big one looks ok on my frame.
I have two Polene bags: the Numero Neuf Mini in mauve and the Tonca in black. I originally liked the Numero Un, but I didn't like the texture of the leather when I felt it in-store, and I also felt like neither size worked for me. I live in NYC, so I purchased both of my bags in store, but if I didn't live near a Polene store I would have felt hesitant about ordering from them online since I've heard about negative experiences with their customer service.
I completely understand… I was hesitant too, and didn’t imagine the finish of the Numero Un to be so thick… Thank you for sharing your experience Crystal!
I will in Europe in a few weeks' time and I like a more structured shape. iI can see myself carrying the CYME for work etc in Sydney (we have fewer pickpockets) with my laptop or various stuff like cardigan etc. I don't like the Numero Un or the others but I'm farily petite (15cm) so some bags just look odd on me. Similarly I don't know if the Cyme will look good on me; might be too big even if I like it.
I had preordered número dix in cognac and the metal on the strap (smaller) came broken they did fix it but scratched a leather I paid that one 380€ last year. I also ended shortened smaller strap bcs I wanted to wear it on the shortes dots and then the straps kept poking me. I was interested in Cyme bcs I need this big bag that I could use both summer but winter. And Beri but I was confused about the strap if it is removable. I have some luxury bags that are waaay better quality then Polene so not sure will I buy anything anymore. Only if they do Black Friday Love your smile and personality ❤
I appreciate your concise content and I watched it repeatedly. I thought I needed one but now, three 😂 I wonder which bag do you use for work and to carry your laptop.
Thank you for your kind words 😊 Depending on the color of the shoes I'm wearing, I use either the YSL shopper tote or the Cyme (though my laptop doesn't fit well in it because of its shape). Any favorite work bags you'd recommend? 🤓
@@MademoiselleSpends Thank you for your reply. Your YSL tote bag is exquisite. It’s a shame Polene isn’t making bag for career women. I’m eyeing Maison Gilbert, Polo Grooming Cob taurillon but it’s not available in camel.
Without an organizer in it, I wouldn’t say so, because the bottom of the bag is narrow, so your laptop wouldn’t sit in it well… same if you want to have a bottle or a mug together with your laptop… But I looked it up and you can find some liners to put at the bottom of the bag to make compartments (like this one: handbagangels.com/product/liner-for-polene-cyme-tote/) So there seems to be a way to make it work!
First of all, I would have never paid that much for any purse. But if I had to choose, I would probably choose the third one. It shouts quality. The other one are cute, but I understand. What do you say about getting things made by natural materials. And good materials. I like the shape of the first one but again the third one I think is the best. Unfortunately I would never ever be able to have it. I don’t have the money and if it if I did, I don’t think I can bring myself to spending that much money on a person. Love your channel. I have watched every video and I’m learning a lot. Learn how to have a few pieces and look good at least most of the time.
haha the squeakiness of the numero un was the major reason I haven't reached for the bag as much as I should. It is a little peeve of mine, but overtime I've accepted it. Unsure if there is a hack I can use to get rid of that lol
-the first one doesn’t seem worth the money even though it looked really pretty to me - the 2nd i don’t like the shape cus it looks like a diaper lol - the 3rd is my favorite but bummer that suede is kind of a pain for me 4- just don’t like it hehe i think they have a backpack or smth i was looking at but im not sure now
I think the mini Cyme would look great if you are petite, because the normal size is quite imposing (I am 1,73m to give you an idea of scale from the video). If you’re rather tall like me, the mini Cyme will have more of an everyday city vibe than the normal Cyme which is more « basket-y/beach » So it depends on the vibe you want to go for :) I hope this helps 😊♥️
@@MademoiselleSpends thanks, i am tall 1,80 😉 but for my work i need few things, and my dilemma that mini for my structure too small, but standard size will be half empty.
I don't understand why you would call this leather "plasticy"... it"s just leather that is still very stiff and needs to live a little bit, that's why it was squeesy. I have the Numéro sept mini in black croco, and the Béri in camel grainé. Have never had so many compliments when wearing a bag. Love them, love the quality, 3 years in... still great quality! And I wear them daily and have travelled all over the world with them.
OMG, the way you show the items! It's almost sexual and definitely very yummy! 🤩 I think they should pay you for such a great advertisement! At this moment, I only own the Dix in Camel, and it's gorgeous (and I got it within a week last month to South Cali, so, great experience), but planning to get more as soon as my finances allow. Great video, thank you.
Hahaha! Your comment made me laugh so much 😂♥️ there is a sensuality to beautiful items like this, I completely agree! Super happy you are loving your Dix, it really is gorgeous ☺️👌 And excited for you to get more stunning pieces!!
My pleasure! You will for sure find excellent products, with probably more natural finishes, in artisanal tanneries. You always get more for your money when you're not buying a luxury brand (which is a bit of a paradox 😅)
Of course! Even if you didn’t like what I like you’d still have style! Style is how you express your personality through what you wear, you can’t do it wrong. Some people will like it, some others won’t ☺️♥️
My H Q D U P S super fakes are amazing! Most of my genuine bags are broken or torn! Unless these places start backing up their quality with warranties, I will never buy from them again. I can afford the real thing, I choose the best quality fakes because they don't break. I don't mind if something goes wrong.
I guess I'll have to skip these since I just bought a new bag. 32$ 😂 Not nearly as fashionable, but I can't imagine being worried about wearing such expensive things out in public where they might get coffee spilled on them or something!
To tell you the truth, I don't like any of these bags. I don't find the shapes very aesthetic. Maybe in person they look more luxurious because of the quality of the leather, but I'll pass.
Which bag did you prefer? Would you buy Polène at all?

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I am sorry to hear you’ve been disappointed too…
What other brands do you own that you would recommend?
I appreciate your concise content and I watched it repeatedly. I thought I needed one but now, three 😂
I wonder which bag do you use for work and to carry your laptop.
Hi babe you make me buy the número dix in cinnamon I think can’t be wrong choosing that one over the leather 😍😍😍😍😍 thanks love
You should have ‘each other’ bags, I fell in love with them i wonder that nobody know about them
Super Video- merci! Xoxo
What do you think about Tod’s bags? Thx❤🤗
love how detailed your review is on the bag design, and you are funny haha!
I am so glad! Thank you!
Thank you for your video! I just ordered a Mini Cyme yesterday. Can’t wait to receive it. 🥰
Oh I’m so glad! I truly hope you’ll love it!
Love the Numéro Dix!!!
Very useful! Thanks 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Great video, very informational. Please make more Polene videos!
What’s the color of the Cyme bag in the video? Camel or Cognac?
I just ordered numero un but big one! I’m excited!
I really like Polene. Love small bags, because I am petite and slim. Positive experience with Polene, may buy again.
Thank you for sharing!
In which color did you buy the béri? Thank you for the helpful video!
My pleasure! I bought it in Taupe ♥️
I ordered my polene un mini in black.. its beautiful…I also love the songmont luna
I am so glad to hear you are happy with it!
Would the last big brown bag (Cyme?) fit a laptop and work as an office bag?
Without an organizer in it, I wouldn’t say so, because the bottom of the bag is narrow, so your laptop wouldn’t sit in it well… same if you want to have a bottle or a mug together with your laptop…
But I looked it up and you can find some liners to put at the bottom of the bag to make compartments (like this one: handbagangels.com/product/liner-for-polene-cyme-tote/)
So there seems to be a way to make it work!
You are amazing! Thank you so much❤
@@natk8805 My pleasure! I hope it helps!
I put the leather conditioner on the sides and the squeaking was gone.
That’s a great tip!
Damn, I thought it was only on the one I bought… I am sorry to hear that..
I put leather cleaner near the straps and it was good to go
“Plastic 🤢be gone”! 😂
The numero Dix and the white dress, I can just see you stroll down the lavender fields in Provence 💗
I love this image! 🌸
I love your Polène collection! Could you please tell me which colour is your numero dix?
Thank you! It's the Crocodile Nubuck Cinnamon 👌
-the first one doesn’t seem worth the money even though it looked really pretty to me
- the 2nd i don’t like the shape cus it looks like a diaper lol
- the 3rd is my favorite but bummer that suede is kind of a pain for me
4- just don’t like it hehe
i think they have a backpack or smth i was looking at but im not sure now
Is it not plastic covering the hardware on the Beri?
It is indeed, but it’s only for protection! I didn’t remove it on the video 😊
Buying the cyme after your review. Thx!
I am so glad it helped you make the decision! I hope you’ll love the bag!
Ive never heard of this brand, back the bags arw lovely
I love my regular size bag . Such good quality
Do you think colour transfer would be a problem for the nubuck dix?
I’d be really surprised… it seemed of excellent quality! Have you heard of this being a problem?
Only with light colors, if you buy the taupe nubuk be carefull
Nice and useful review 😊 the first bag sounds very plastic indeed, the suede bag on the other hand seems very nice
I am so glad it was useful! We have the same taste 👌
love watching you
Which size of cyme is better? Do you think that mini cyme too small for this type of bag?
I think the mini Cyme would look great if you are petite, because the normal size is quite imposing (I am 1,73m to give you an idea of scale from the video).
If you’re rather tall like me, the mini Cyme will have more of an everyday city vibe than the normal Cyme which is more « basket-y/beach »
So it depends on the vibe you want to go for :)
I hope this helps 😊♥️
@@MademoiselleSpends thanks, i am tall 1,80 😉 but for my work i need few things, and my dilemma that mini for my structure too small, but standard size will be half empty.
@@kokoshonok12 I have the mini and love it. I am 169 cm . I think for your frame would be the regular better.
Cyme interior is "microfiber suede."
Some leather has quite a lot of coating on it and can feel plasticy.
I would buy any of these bags especially the largest one
I bought nr 9. I can find anything in it. Its hard to out a hand in it
i do not like the loud sound of the zipper on my numero dix i find it embarrassing
The "Suede" in these bags is not actual Suede but "micro Suede", aka polyester. The lining is not real leather.
love the seude tan bag - glad you agree! does that mean i have style too? 😄
Of course! Even if you didn’t like what I like you’d still have style! Style is how you express your personality through what you wear, you can’t do it wrong. Some people will like it, some others won’t ☺️♥️
Polene Beri looks like an Underpant's Front View
Numero Un 👍
Never heard of this brand.
I’m not a fan of their designs. It seems all of the folds will accumulate debris over time and that isn’t for me.

Welcome!!
"If they, too..."
My H Q D U P S super fakes are amazing! Most of my genuine bags are broken or torn! Unless these places start backing up their quality with warranties, I will never buy from them again. I can afford the real thing, I choose the best quality fakes because they don't break. I don't mind if something goes wrong.
❤
Many complaints on this Polene.
What is the colour of your cyme bag?😊
Camel 😊♥️
I guess I'll have to skip these since I just bought a new bag. 32$ 😂
Not nearly as fashionable, but I can't imagine being worried about wearing such expensive things out in public where they might get coffee spilled on them or something!
To tell you the truth, I don't like any of these bags. I don't find the shapes very aesthetic. Maybe in person they look more luxurious because of the quality of the leather, but I'll pass.
