Hi Sue and Brian, very much enjoy watching your videos and hotel comments. Have been inspired by you bike trips and have just passed my mod 2 test at age 72 and are now looking for a new bike, have just had a test ride on a Triumph Tiger Sport 660 and was very impressed with this bike and it feels just right for me in power and comfort. Best Regards, Steve.
Hi Steve, lovely to hear from you and congratulations on passing your mod 2! Now life begins! 🏍️👍Thank you for watching our adventures and we both wish you many, many miles of smiles😀
I moved from NavV (10yrs) to XT2. At first I just didn’t ’get it’. Now that I have full understanding of Tread , which took some time , I think it’s the best ever . Everything can be done by Tread .
Hi from an old Aussie biker. I spent a few years living and working in the UK & Scotland in the late 70's early 80's. I love seeing biking tours of the Yorkshire Dales, the Norfolk Fens, Cotswolds etc. What makes your video standout amounst all of the others is the maps, the road numbers, the town names on screen & the music. It takes me back and I ride with you. Keep up the great work. Gaz
Thanks very much Gaz - we’re really pleased that our tours have brought back some good memories for you! Wellingborough is not far from us and it’s where our local Triumph dealer is 👍 bet you miss the little, windy roads of England now you’re in Oz! Thanks for watching and commenting! 😀👍
there is a song by Traffic called "Roll right stones" on a 1973 album. i thought they were singing about mick and keith but now i know. i recently rode in california and was going through towns from grateful dead and doobie bros songs, i enjoy your channel.
@@midlifemotorcyclediaries Us, too, in late June for 10 days. Plymouth to Santander (luckily, we live in Newton Abbot, near to the ferry) and two days in The Picos. Then, criss-crossing The Pyrenees to retrace some big cycling climbs we’ve done before (on pushbikes) and then to the Millau Viaduct before two day cross country back to Roscoff. Hopefully, good food, good weather and good fun. We did something similar last year but this time I am taking individual servings of Marmite to have with my breakfast croissant. You can take the boy out of England, but you can’t take England out of the boy 😉. Take care, guys. If you ever need a country overnight in S’th Devon before the ferry, pop in!
Thanks very much for the offer Chris 🙏 that’s really close to Plymouth! Your trip sounds great - not sure about the Marmite 😳 I know you love it or hate it (I’m probably the latter 😂) Pyrenees on pushbikes sounds like hard work! 😀👍
Forgot to add, I lived near Kettering & Wellingborough in the village of Stanwick. Very nostalgic, like your stay in Colesbourne. On a recent visy to the UK to visit our daughter we stayed in Cirencester. Lovely part of the UK. Gaz
Great little jaunt to a very scenic part of the world......actually, I got food envy and felt quite peckish towards the end of the video, when my wife called me for an early supper just at the right moment! Cheers. 👍
Thank you ☺️ We met later in life, Sue - they say the best things are worth waiting for and that’s certainly true for us 😊 The last eight years have been pretty special. Long may it continue 😀👍
Hi, it's been a while since I've seen you pop up on TH-cam. Been viewing some tent motocamping videos recently and gotta say I much prefer your relaxed style of riding followed by good eats and drinks with a proper cozy bed at the end of the day. Cheers
Wow Sue, we've never known someone to get so many punctures. The dealership looked like they stepped up to the mark. We love the Cotswolds and your hotel looked nice, with real ale. We visited the Rollright stones on our last tour. As well as the circle there's some other stones a bit of a distance away with an interesting history. Shame the weather wasn't perfect, its still nice to get away.
Thanks Richard and Carol - I remember your visit to the Rollright Stones and the Cotswolds sometime ago. The weather wasn’t on our side this time 😳 but any bike trip is better than none! We must meet up for a coffee sometime! 😀👍
Loved the video! We stayed at the Colesbourne Inn on the 19th of June. Small world. We got off the ferry in Portsmouth and rode to the Cotswolds. It was at the end of a three month trip and we were sadly heading to Fishguard and Ireland to put our moto into storage.
We go back to the Cotswolds regularly. The Colesbourne brings back lots of memories for me as I lived about 4 miles away from 12 until I was 24 and we visited lots during that time. The nearest our bikes get to storage is our garage until the next clear day! 🌞😀We tend not to venture out in snow but anything else is either a Rukka day or a Jeans day 😂👍Wishing you many miles of smiles 😊👍
I went for years and years without having a puncture and then in short order I had two punctures well before the tyres were worn. I've come to the conclusion it's the wider rain tread pattern on modern tyres as on both occasions the puncture was in the tread. Must admit I'm not a fan of old stones laid out in a circle - even I could make that! 😁
Yes it’s a real pain having punctures on perfectly good tyres 😳 - I think we could all create a circle with a few stones but I guess they had a reason a few thousand years ago! 😂😀🤷
Nice little video in our neck of the woods. Still enjoying our Cotwolds home. We had a lovely fish and chips lunch a while back at the Colesbourne Inn. Must revisit again. Lovely pub. 👍 Next time, come and pop in the Toddington Station cafe and say Hello 👋. It's been revamped and renamed to the Cotswold Halt. I've just started working there a couple of days a week! Helps pay for all my new found hobbies (and still deciding on whether to get a bike again!🤔). NB: I had nothing but trouble with my Nav 6 and now on my 4th (free) replacement, which hubby now has on his new GSA, so wise choice!🤨👍 Julie x
Hello you two😊 Thanks for this nice road trip as always great video with lovely music. And a very nice Inn. Looks very cosy. I also have the Garmin xt2. So far I'm also thrilled and it works very reliably so far..... looking forward to your next adventure... Until then, best wishes from Germany 😊❤
Thanks very much Sandra - we’re glad you enjoyed this little trip! Yes the XT2 has been a good investment. Hope all is great in Germany - we’re off to France this month! 😀👍
To france?....we too...end of May...riding the Grand Tour des alpes 😀 we wish you a nice and sonny trip with no rain 😃☀️👋 waiting for some nice Videos...have a nice sunday you both...Cheers🍻🤗
Always look forward to your vids and really enjoyed this one..looks a lovely part of England and will have to go there sometime.im just curious as to what tyres your using with getting 3 punctures in 3 years.ive never had a puncture until i started using Michelin road 6 and ive had 2 now in the last year..just wondered if your on the same..looking forward to your next trip whatever that may be
Thanks very much Ian 🙏 The Cotswolds is a beautiful part of the country. The tyres are Metzler Tourance - just a run of bad luck 🤷 - we’re off on a tour of France at the end of the month 👍 Thanks for watching! 😀👍
Hey guys!! I sure wish I had the time to jump on a bike and do an overnighter like this. Looks like you had fun. Nice job with the video as always and keep em coming. I really enjoy you folks.

hi guys we love your vidios and being fellows bikers , my wife likes your boots sue , they look to have a good size heel on them and since she would like to feel more stable when ridding her bike ,she would love to know where you got them from , having spent far to long looking online for some .many thanks Eva & stephen ... county Durham
Hi Stephen, I had a great pair of high heel, Alpine Star boots before these - problem was, by the time we’d done the Wild Atlantic Way part two, they were soaked through and not salvageable. I saw my current ones - Oxford water proof - at JLS in Wellingborough. They’re actually much better with a better sole (not slippy) and a good sized heel. You can probably get them online via JLS. Hope that helps 👍☺️
@@midlifemotorcyclediaries thank you very for your time and Eva is looking as i type , keep making your amazing diaries , you are so lucky and so are we all
Nice surprise to see another of your vlogs uploaded this morning and in the Cotswolds that we have visited recently. Anyway got to get the Ducati out now, got an MOT booked and it's not raining. Ride safe.
Another great video, maybe on your return trip you had a strange man say hello at a fuel stop between Buckingham and MK, apologies if you thought I was a stalker!
I think you chose wisely. My experience with the BMW connected ride hasn't been great, constantly dropping out, and unreliable. I tend to just use Google maps!!!!!.
