I've seen In Flames about 10 times. They're so damn good! One time I was at a show where the venue had two stories and crazy bastards were backlipping off the second story strait into the crowd below.
"Dial 595 - Escape" is another In Flames's good track with a similar style to this one. If you want a different and more acoustic song instead, I really suggest you to go check their Acoustic Medley. Man, it's short but it is sooooo good. You can react to it as an extra at the end of another reaction video.

They weren’t the first but they were part of the main group of bands that made up the Gothenburg melodeath scene which is the most famous and influential melodeath scene of all time. They along with dark tranquility and at the gates are the big 3, they are by far the most famous of the 3 as well. Not part of the same scene but Carcass was extremely important to melodeath with their album heartwork which came before most of the Gothenburg 3s breakthrough albums. Heartwork featured Michael amott as well who would go on to create arch enemy which is another legendary melodeath band and was pretty much part of the 2nd wave of Swedish melodeath to break through after the Gothenburg 3. Anyway if anything heartwork by carcass is the true beginning of melodeath as it came before any of the Gothenburg 3 had broken through, it was the first real legit breakthrough album for the melodeath genre

I heard this live once, and it was electric, just magic how they move their audience.
In Flames is hands down one of the greatest metal bands ever. I really think they are up there with Metallica and Iron Madden.

They were given the genre name of melodic death metal, but you wouldn't call them that anymore, nor even just melodic metal lol.
I remember seeing in flames in the UK at Sonisphere in 2011 and they were amazing even though their lineup was completely different by that point.

In Flames are creators of melodic death metal, they were first who started everything in that genre
Anders sang in Dark Tranquility before leaving to help form in flames. In Flames was at the beginning but so was At the Gates and Dark Tranquility.
