Yup Silicon spray is awesome. It's used heavily in the mountain biking industry to keep shock seals well lubed and clean. Perfect to use on rubber.

Thanks Ant for the video. I’ll be doing this today. Another great video would be changing the brake fluid, how to remove those blank rocker switch covers, and how to put in USB / accessory ports into those blank switch panels. Keep up the videos. Thoroughly informative and enjoyable.

There’s a specialist product for this application - Nextzett Gummi Pflege (not a typo!). The bottle has a sponge applicator built in and it lasts ages. Much less messy than sprays and doesn’t leave a residue.

Another major cause of squeaks in the N70's is the hook the holds the rear seatback to the wall of the cab.

Better off spraying silicon on cloth then apply to rubber seal , just saying

Can you use it on the hinges and latch or is there better products for that?

Wouldn't ya spray it on the rag first then wipe it not spray it everywhere then wipe it

You Get aplicators for this use like a bottle with a sponge as a aplicator

Naturally you can do that, but more of it ends up on the rag than where you want it! on the seal! so I prefer to do it the other way around in this instance.

Furthermore if I would spray it on the rag then that’s what I would’ve said in the video sometimes there’s other things we spray on the rag but not this time

And example is tire shine because it’s terrible stuff and it goes everywhere Amaral applicator you spray it on the applicator and then wipe it on dashboard for example but with this stuff you need to give the seal a decent soaking and they can spray the silicon spray in a good pattern that if you’ve got basic skills you can keep it under control you just wiping off some excess different to other products but each to their own
