Likely caused by careless humans. It's extremely unlikely it was spontaneous ignition, there isn't enough loose plant material in the reserve extension for that to be seriously considered. The entire reserve extension is almost all costal sage brush and Torrey Pine trees. The sage brush creates almost no plant material that could pile up.

Yes it was a homeless camp.
I work at a preschool that was 1/2 a mile from the fire and we had to evacuate the kiddos
So sad
One of my friends live in a house next to the fire and he’s being evacuated or that’s what he said they might be or get evacuated
