    • @FF54Vic
      @FF54Vic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you you can actually use 16 gauge wire to tap into and run down to the RCA converter. You do not need to do both speakers you can put both hearts and negatives on the RCA converter together and run one speaker wire to the speakers positive and negative. The RCA converter is just pulling a mono signal for the amplifier

      I honestly don’t remember it’s been a couple years since I did those however, if you cut the wires and on the side that is closest to the speaker, you take that and touch those wires to a negative and a positive on a 9 V battery you should be able to see whether the speaker goes or if it comes down if it goes up then The layout that you have into the battery is correct that’s a pretty good way to figure out which one is the positive factory and it doesn’t hurt the actual factory speaker because of it being such a low volt

    I am about to do the same install as well and was wondering how you tapped or spliced into the rear speaker wires for the rca adapter?

    • @FF54Vic
      @FF54Vic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pending on the RCA adapter you choose it may have four wires or it may only have to if it has four wires you will take the positives and put them together and the negatives and put them together then you will spplace into the positive and negative on your factory speaker. You essentially only half to do one speaker because it’s just pulling a monotone signal for the amplifier. To figure out which is the positive or negative on your factory speaker since you’re already going to cut the wires because of having to splice into them take a 9 V battery and take it to the wires if the speaker goes up where the cone flexes in a forward position that is how you’ll find out if it flexes in and position where it looks like it pulls down then you have To switch the battery around and that’ll help you Figure out which one is the positive wire.

    • @FF54Vic
      @FF54Vic  ปีที่แล้ว

      You technically can hook the converter up to one speaker even if the converter has wires for two speaker inputs. You would just put both positives and negatives together from the converter and then wire them into the factory speaker outputs. If that makes any sense most converters have two sets of input wires. Basically you will just marry them together to make it one input/connection
