The radio has a built in safety feature called "bass rolloff" Most new car factory stereos have this. It protects the speakers at higher volumes to keep them from blowing. The louder the volume, more of the bass will decrease.
I had the same stereo system in my previous Challenger, I found having the Loudness turned on made the bass sound worse at high volume so I always left it off.
17’ charger rt plus. I have the beats speakers and all the space in the trunk for 4 bodies at a time. I don’t know if I got a sub or surround sound but sounds like I do😂 no distortion at all I get the whole neighborhood and the next town lit at 2AM

Yeah man. All of the systems seem to limit you. One thing I would check to see if there are any sound adjustment settings based on speed and stuff. When I had my beats system I was so disappointed until I found that setting. Outside of that I am not really sure on speakers or amps etc.
@@BurnseysRT yah I turned off the sound thing that goes with the speed. imma go to a speaker place and see if the alpine ones just don’t get loud enough, or if I need to get extra speakers put in to make it louder.
The alpine (if you got the beats speakers) comes “normal” from factory. You have to tweak the equalizer settings to make it loud how you want it. Mid and treb about 3 notches higher, bass 7-8 notches higher
Should've gotten the alpine with sub. And surround sound. That's what I have. And it's amazing! Sadly got rattle in my door. :/ my brother has the alpine system. However his didn't come with the sub mounted above the wheel in the trunk. Mine did. And his doesn't have surround sound. He hates it. I love mine!
you would think with all the money that people spend on their Mopar’s that they would have a better stereo system 😁 that was one of the first things I did on my vehicle now I just ain’t got no trunk 😂👍
Haha. Well worth it I am sure!! The beats system I had in my Charger was pretty solid but that was an upgrade. The base system should be better. Doesn’t have to be great... just shouldn’t be this terrible
Is it the system or the speaker? My 2020 Durango has the same issue. I’m about to upgrade all the speakers. Hopefully it’s the speaker and not the system 😅
Thats a pretty cool app. I'll have to check that out. I see you like a lot of bass, which is definitely a problem on poor quality speakers. Doesn't take much volume to distort the sound with bass set to max.
Haha. Part of the bass is I can’t hear the music at 75 with the windows open. But heat totally a problem with the speakers. I will say the app seems to over rides the safety nets so it sounds better but you could definitely blow them too. To get added bass at lower volumes if I want will be good enough for me.
OK first of all when you go to your equalizer your speed adjust you want to turn auto off not 3 you wanna leave it on off and you’ll see a difference in it my car pounds but then again I have a charger

Your settings are too high, that’s why you get distortion at those levels. Treble should be three max, mids at like 1 or zero and bass at 3 to 4

The only way to solve the bad sounding system is to put aftermarket amp and speakers in. The stock system is junk.

I have the Alpine in my Scat and it’s very adequate and a nice system. The base stock system is complete trash.

you may have your playback settings set to trasition flow between songs
Apple has a headphones too loud alert that pops up and turns the volume down, it also goes down when you get messages, alerts and gps instructions.

You have 6x9 in your rear deck vs the 6x5 in the challenger. That makes a big difference.
