UL folks bring a UL pack towel to dry the condensation off the inside of their single wall tent. Specifically I’ve heard them call it a “Sweetish dish cloth”. It’s like a Sham Wow but from Sweden. But the UL people keep it in their 10 liter fanny pack so it doesn’t count towards their base weight.
I carry an small ultralight pack towel. i cut it down to about 1'x1' and use it to clean up at the end of a day backpacking and to dry out a cookpot after cooking with it. It's .57 ounces.
Keep up the good work loving it...i listen on Spotify and watch on youtube Love from Tasmania, #1 download adblock plus while surfing the net stops pop ups Carl and Ben....#2 check out on track meals here in Aus real food not dehydrated crap no need for a long ass spoon lol 😆 Take care....maybe a patron trip to Tassie in winter wink wink 😜 also some of us Tassie take a small towel because we swim in lakes and mountain pools etc nothing unusual 😅
@BackpackingandBlisters hit me up for a hike that's for sure....the land down under never lets people down 😜 esp Tassie we are the best 💪👍🍻 hope to see you one day
@BackpackingandBlisters sounds good, I'll just keep doing what I've been doing. Found you guys after the First Fourty Miles shut down. My audio feed did stop updating awhike back and had to search and subscribe to a newer feed? If that was due to something you did, you might give the old feed viewers a heads up. Not sure what that was about!
@BackpackingandBlisters Okay, now I'm embarrassed. I searched and it looks like that happened in summer 2023, not 2024. Where did the last year go? If it's still relevant, I use Antenna Pod, not sure about anything else, but when I search for you guys, one feed comes up that stops in July 2023, and there's another feed that seems to have everything you currently have public.

You’re right! I forgot about that. Extra chore I don’t want. 😄
Does Ben think the Bogler trowel is a towel?
Yes. Great catch! He caught himself after we recorded. Not sure how he got the two confused. I might bring that up. :)
Sure did! When you record late at night and type towel instead of trowel and then can't find the link you looked at. 😂😂

Love it! I could see that sold online in the future for $20. :)
Ben's weird backpacking gear is a long handled spoon, that's hilarious.
Agreed.
I still dont have a long spoon. The food packs we have in Australia are not that deep and you end up taring half the top off when ready
Australia has some obvious improvements - not just backpacking food - over the US.

Good tip about the food. 😄 I taught in Australia for a year and visited Tassie. Loved it. I want to go back. Trying to convince my family.

Curious, is it better for you guys watching on YT or listening to the podcast? I typically listen to the podcast, but have wondered....
That's really nice of you to ask. We appreciate anybody and everybody for tuning in. But, if we had to pick, audio all the way!

@@Berry_N Thanks for the heads up. No, there was nothing I did no my end. But I'll look into it for sure. Which pod platform are you on?

@BackpackingandBlisters looked further, the feed that stops is on atthecampsite, but if I post the link, YT will probably delete this.
haven lost me at the weight & price...
Yeah, I might try a couple of these out. :)
