@@Roamingfirebat the more systems they will try with armor the worse it will get, just look at BFA every big patch made the game more confusing and not fun to play. i think they should go back to a more basic armor like in mop or earlier. Nothing to confusing just basic stats and start to focus on content that might be fun even if it maybe just rewards cosmetics like toys or some consumable item. or maybe even introduce different events like a stealth event thru a big city of the enemy or something.
While they're at it they can ditch command tables....they were interesting for a bit...but they got old fast but Blizzard won't get rid of them. Same as how Artifact Weapons were neat, but the endless grind got old....so they gave us another system that was even worse with even MORE grind....I sense a pattern here

I love seeing Azeroth being portrayed as having troll and night elf features. It makes sense as trolls were one of the oldest sentient races and night elves are directly descended from the trolls. Also, the possibility that the Dark Moon Faire is connected to the void lords and the old gods is pretty compelling. I mean their symbol resembles iconography we've seen representing N'zoth. Could there also be a connection between the Dark Moon Faire and Elune, at least in her darker phase? Perhaps Tyrande is now corrupted by the Void? She wanted to kill Sylvanas who represents Death and we know that the Void sees Death as a threat and wishes to destroy it.
As much joy this game has given me since 2006 when I started playing the expansions have steadily gotten worse since WOTLK. The only one I have really enjoyed since it was Legion. I just hope they do a major correction with Shadowlands as I have only played one month of BFA because I just hate it.

I believe the Emerald Dream is a part of a larger realm which I call The Dream, considering that the Wild Gods of Azeroth that have their souls bound to the Emerald Dream seem to also hold some sway over other worlds such as Draenor. Orc shaman communed with Goldrinn before the creation of the Dark Portal, in AU Draenor Avianna sent Skylord Omnuron to speak with the commanders of the Horde and Alliance garrisons about how Avianna claims the Arrakoa fall under her control since they are winged creatures, yet they are from an entirely different planet that is possibly light years away from where she lives, I think The Dream spans the entire Great Dark Beyond just like the Shadowlands does.

I personally think she is the Titan of Chaos. Chaos magic is all schools of magic including physical. And if she was every school of magic she would be the most powerful Titan by far. Chaos is the natural order of the world, the elements reveled in it, and peace can never seem to thrive on Azeroth something always thwarts it, mostly from within the world and not outside it. I think Azeroth is so powerful because she is where the explosion of creation originated from. Something that sort of backs up my thoughts is Azerite, yes I know everyone hates it. But the thing is it doesn't only reflect one school of magic, and seems to be able to enhance any form of magic as well. But as for the reflecting different schools, the essences mostly are fire, but some are shadow, and other schools, then you have the Azerite dusted blades in the Ashvane Foundry in Tirigared which deal holy damage when used, some of the explosives that were powered by it in the pre-patch event in Darkshore dealt arcane damage. It's interesting how it's not just one specific school of magic that her blood can represent. As for Elune I think she is a sort of Avatar of Azeroth, she after all did create the Moonkin to guard sacred places, and the Moonkin seem to be very connected to the world. I think Azeroth uses the moon as a vessel for her avatar to work from. And there are a number of other creatures connected to nature and the world that seem to also have a strong connection to Elune.
Well, considering moons tend to be in large part the bits of young planets plus whatever crashed into them that eventually formed into a moon one can argue the moon is part of Azeroth anyways.
What happens if Xe'ras prophecy didn't come true? Was illadin supposed to eventually win for the light further down the road? Is Uther the Death Pantheon's "Child of Light and Shadow?" Since illadin didn't follow Xe'ras path, does that mean the void will win this cycle? Did the Light always win the other cycles? Will The Void win this Cycle? Also Azathoth is The Dreamer and The Dream in the Dream Cycles in the Cthuku mythos. Azathoth is reality "Reality" is in the Center of the Cosmic Table in Wow
Building a "universe" sounds like a good idea, but someone needs to remember what happened to EQ as they continued to expand. It already is apparent in Warcraft - old zones become vacant. That brings with it a whole host of problems. I won't say Warcraft can't do it - many of its developers were EQ players themselves and saw it happen.
is imposible to keep old zone relevant for each expansion, non MMO do that, w/o doing a paragon system, and history wise a paragon system is just grind and have 0 impact on the lore.
I'm so glad you mentioned that the Naaru came later, because a lot of people think the Naaru *are* the Light. A lot of people think Xe'ra was the embodiment of the Light's will, which I don't agree with. The Light may very well want to try and make everyone submit, but I really hope Blizzard keeps it somewhat neutral, as it has always been before they started introducing new lore.

But I always found it strange that when taking a ship it would never trail off the right or left side, it would always do these weird paths to get to where you are going.
If Argus was a titan that encompassed death, a force separate from titan order, and sargareas being fel, what if our moon of elune is actually a tiny titan that is comprised of the duality of light and shadow and while not fully awakened, is cognizant enough to interact with Azeroth’s races
My theory on Elune is that she is the spawn of a void lord and a na'aru and that is why she is so powerful. It also explains how she works with both light and darkness.
I am just waiting for the meta Lore event where suddenly a NPC named "Green Chris Jesus Metzen" appears and tells azeroth that it was just a simulation and now is the time for shutdown.
I'll like and comment for you bellular! On a semi related note I just don't have the feel for Warcraft and blizzard games. If Diablo 4 turns into a cash grab or Shadowlands doesn't actually have a responsive development cycle with good class develop I probably won't be playing Blizzard games for a long while.
I strongly believe that Elune is also a world soul, but has gained greater control over her powers, giving away her potential. She just can't break free from her planet, staying hidden like the Night Elves as 'just a moon'.
I'm very curious about Elune's role, as there was even an in game reference about her CREATING the prime naaru. This suggests (at least to me) that she is far more ancient and powerful than what people give her credit for. She can represent light and dark (by association with night warrior), so perhaps she IS some sort of creator god, or the ONE prime deity of the universe. Maybe she takes so much interest in Azeroth because Azeroth is the most powerful titan who does have the ability to balance the cosmic forces. Either way, however it plays out, I'm excited to learn more as it all unfolds!
You can only go so far when your franchise is a rip of great writers that have come befor you. Tolkien, lovecraft etc. They've already used and discarded story tropes that resonate with the audience (ie. The prodigal son - Illidan. The mad tyrant- Arthus and the cosmic destroyers - Burning legion, old gods.) Where else can you go from here? Especially when the core of your writting staff are post-modern ideologs trying to insert their politics into the narrative.

Seems the PoMos are too busy ensuring that every character who really matters in BFA is a woman to enact more substantial changes. Or is "balance between the forces" a metaphor for equity in the far-left sense, of ensuring that no particular demographic obtains too much success lest they remake the world in their image (like in the colonial era).
They are tying everything together. WoW has always been going in this direction in an exponential manner. I for one think this is a really cool concept and *if executed properly* could be a contender for top 3 expansions in wow history.

And Illidan, who was part of the prophecy and maybe therefore have an immortal soul, why do we have one? Still to this day, I’ve had one question about the births of Titans from world souls. What happens to the planets (their inhabitants included) after a world soul finally matures and a Titan is born? Because I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that the planet itself and all on it just kind of fuses together to create the body and collective spirit and personality of the matured Titan. Because the detail of the birth isn’t exactly explained in Chronicles and it’s not like the original Pantheon ever said “hey looks go and visit our mother planets to see how they are doing!”
I wonder if we get any more from those worlds we went to in the invasions(or whatever they were called) on Argus. That one planet had what looked like a wild god, and we went there to drive the legion out of them to weaken them
Did they ever go into why immortality is a thing for specific characters? This being Illidan and the player. Could have something to do with the power of Azeroth.
My prediction is that the void lords will succeed in corrupting Azeroth and her being the strongest will eventually lead to her being the final boss of an expansion. And we'll all have to move to elune.
This is epic and all, but I really started playing WoW because I loved doing small things like picking up flowers, fighting wolves and helping farmers. I remember I didn't even like going to Outland as it felt distant from Azeroth world. (Disclaimer: No, I'm not saying Vanilla is objectively better, it's just that different people prefer different stuff)

is imposible to keep old zone relevant for each expansion, non MMO do that, w/o doing a paragon system, and history wise a paragon system is just grind and have 0 impact on the lore.

I'm so glad you mentioned that the Naaru came later, because a lot of people think the Naaru *are* the Light. A lot of people think Xe'ra was the embodiment of the Light's will, which I don't agree with. The Light may very well want to try and make everyone submit, but I really hope Blizzard keeps it somewhat neutral, as it has always been before they started introducing new lore.

Hey, loved the video. Cant wait for the next couple! I was curious if you could try to fit in a video about what's on the other side of the map. I dont know if it's been answered before, or if there is another side to the map. But I always found it strange that when taking a ship it would never trail off the right or left side, it would always do these weird paths to get to where you are going.

If Argus was a titan that encompassed death, a force separate from titan order, and sargareas being fel, what if our moon of elune is actually a tiny titan that is comprised of the duality of light and shadow and while not fully awakened, is cognizant enough to interact with Azeroth’s races

My theory on Elune is that she is the spawn of a void lord and a na'aru and that is why she is so powerful. It also explains how she works with both light and darkness.

I'll like and comment for you bellular! On a semi related note I just don't have the feel for Warcraft and blizzard games. If Diablo 4 turns into a cash grab or Shadowlands doesn't actually have a responsive development cycle with good class develop I probably won't be playing Blizzard games for a long while.

I strongly believe that Elune is also a world soul, but has gained greater control over her powers, giving away her potential. She just can't break free from her planet, staying hidden like the Night Elves as 'just a moon'.
I'm very curious about Elune's role, as there was even an in game reference about her CREATING the prime naaru. This suggests (at least to me) that she is far more ancient and powerful than what people give her credit for. She can represent light and dark (by association with night warrior), so perhaps she IS some sort of creator god, or the ONE prime deity of the universe. Maybe she takes so much interest in Azeroth because Azeroth is the most powerful titan who does have the ability to balance the cosmic forces. Either way, however it plays out, I'm excited to learn more as it all unfolds!
The cycle stuff reminds me of the cycle from SC2 lore. Probably they ran out of ideas
You can only go so far when your franchise is a rip of great writers that have come befor you. Tolkien, lovecraft etc.
They've already used and discarded story tropes that resonate with the audience
(ie. The prodigal son - Illidan. The mad tyrant- Arthus and the cosmic destroyers - Burning legion, old gods.)
Where else can you go from here? Especially when the core of your writting staff are post-modern ideologs trying to insert their politics into the narrative.

@@castlebravo2023 I don't know, the planetary equivalent of "Indomitable little village in Gaul" sounds like a compelling story. Seems the PoMos are too busy ensuring that every character who really matters in BFA is a woman to enact more substantial changes. Or is "balance between the forces" a metaphor for equity in the far-left sense, of ensuring that no particular demographic obtains too much success lest they remake the world in their image (like in the colonial era).
i would guess the great cycle isnt the ran out of ideas thing but more that some thing that even physical world is a part of some cycle

They are tying everything together. WoW has always been going in this direction in an exponential manner. I for one think this is a really cool concept and *if executed properly* could be a contender for top 3 expansions in wow history.
I love the cosmic scale of WoW and hope it continues in that direction.

I feel like we the heroes of Azeroth have a much bigger role in the universe, we are strong enough to fight forces even the titans were struggling with, why? And Illidan, who was part of the prophecy and maybe therefore have an immortal soul, why do we have one? I have a feeling that we are part of something bigger, like we are the prophecy of who will bringing balance to the universe. It's just a therory but i love the idea of a story to why we are immortals.

Still to this day, I’ve had one question about the births of Titans from world souls. What happens to the planets (their inhabitants included) after a world soul finally matures and a Titan is born? Because I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that the planet itself and all on it just kind of fuses together to create the body and collective spirit and personality of the matured Titan. Because the detail of the birth isn’t exactly explained in Chronicles and it’s not like the original Pantheon ever said “hey looks go and visit our mother planets to see how they are doing!”

This is epic and all, but I really started playing WoW because I loved doing small things like picking up flowers, fighting wolves and helping farmers. I remember I didn't even like going to Outland as it felt distant from Azeroth world. (Disclaimer: No, I'm not saying Vanilla is objectively better, it's just that different people prefer different stuff)
The Cosmic Forces need to farm Azeroth to afford WOW Tokens so they can keep up with their universe-wide PVP battles.
