Interesting video and thanks for that, although I've been installing these for maybe 7 years now, after a few hundred installs I've never had a customer reporting a hub low battery before. My home one has been in 4 or 5 years now, turned power off to house to do some work today, for approximately an hour. When rebooted i had the battery low message. As mentioned above I'm going to refit the hub, and mute the tiresome beeping every 30 seconds in the settings. When the yellow status light goes off I'll reinstate it. The batteries ARE rechargeable, and testing the output revieve voltage when AC is active. Cheers.

Thanks for posting, I couldn’t find instructions anywhere! I noticed that your new battery was 200mAh, while the original was 600mAh. Does this matter? Also, the only battery I can find online is £25. Does anyone have any cheaper alternatives? Cheers!
Sorry for the late reply, the battery works well, but I have found that it doesn't last as long. The original battery lasted a couple of years. This lasted for about 9 months.
I unplugged mine whilst decorating so it was just running on that batts in the meantime. The battery ended up going flat and came up on my phone saying hub battery off/dead. After leaving it connected to power for half hour or so the battery off/dead message has disappeared off the Yale app main screen and is no longer beeping. Also on your new replacement battery it says AAA in the part number section they're just bigger capacity at 2000mah as apposed to 600mah on the original preinstalled one.

Oh man you got scammed on that price. Those are just 4 triple AAA batteries. Next time for things like this try Ali Express. If you search 4.8v 2000mah battery on there you will see they sell these for as low as £2 with free shopping.
I know they are expensive, but if you can help others by providing links, that would help. Pluss cheap batteries can be problematic. So I went for what I personally thought was a safe tested battery.
@ivarthomassen1050 yes correct, it says that they are, but in my experience, they are not charging. I've swapped out a couple of them now. If you get them to charge, then you are a better man then me 😊

If memory serves me right, both lights were still on. The box just kept beeping
