The Yale Sync Smart Home Alarm system is a DIY kit that’s easy to install and allows you to conveniently arm and disarm the alarm system from anywhere via your smartphone.
In this video I take a closer look at the 6-piece Sync Smart Home Alarm kit and talk about the main features of the system.
As well as a quick unboxing, I also take a close look at each of the products included in this kit and go through the main functions/features of each item.
This alarm kit was sent to me by Yale ( ‪@yaleuk‬ ) for the purpose of this video, however, all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I have an earlier Yale alarm (the HSA6400) and the one thing that annoys me about it is if you arm the system and a door or window contact is open it won't recognise that and still arm anyway. Professional alarms don't do this, so can anyone tell me if this new Yale one has the same design fault please?

What about the sounder battery. Can it be recharged and how often will that need to be done. I really dislike the shape of the pir and window switches as they do not have flat surfaces to make it easy to attach with velcro or to sit on a shelf

The sounder uses 4 D cells and they seem to last a year or two. Rechargeables would probably self-discharge sooner and might also cause problems with slightly lower voltage.

Hi, does this have a door chime when the door is opened?

Yes it does. You can also enable the chime function on the PIR sensors.

Hi, just to be sure… by “remotely disarming with app”, does it mean I could silence the siren remotely with the app after it goes off? Thanks
