SPOILER it's the lens but there are a few nice undocumented jumpers.
Next step is to try and mask of an area of the standard lens to try and make it work like the pet lens.
Oh yeah. To fix it to the wall, you remove the back and screw that directly to the wall. I would have preferred a bracket. Still, no massive issue. It all works fine, has jamming detection, remote arm / disarm via app.

I would think the pattern you are seeing is a frenzel lens.
The lower part will probably be masked on the pet version to reduce the detection height, but still pick up people who will normally be a lot taller than the average pet.

Yeah, the pattern is missing entirely off the pet lens. However, the standard version if mounted high works everybit as good. they are not super sensitive.

Yale probably use a different processing algorithm for the pet version also, ie the sequence that has to be achieved before the trigger threshold is reached?

I've done some more tests. By switching the lens, you can turn the pet into the non pet variant and vice versa. No other difference.

Hi, could you give any information on the programmable JP’s at all? Does this change the sensitivity?

I wish i could but there is no clue as to their function.

Are the JP sensors all set the same in both? Would it be possible that JP3 one is set to be more sensitive in the regular and less sensitive in the pet?

Yes, they are *identical*. in every way. The only difference is that lens.

Does the pet pir work? Any false alarms?

Only if the cats manage to climb onto a piece of furniture, other than that they've been fine.
