      Thanks for the kind words. A long time ago now!! Quality is awful!
      I did indeed buy the 94R from the garage shortly after. I loved it but the missus made me sell it after a really bad crash on my Honda which should have killed me.
      It took me a year or so to get another bike. I do like the new one too but it was not on my short list recently. Am picking up my new super naked tomorrow!! I will reveal all in a new video soon.

      Ha, well, thanks for the comment. I haven;t watched this back myself for years and it did make me giggle. I was funnier in those days. I need to get some of that humour back but leave out the effin!

      IonStarX Yep, with those Arrows, it really lifts the bike's already decent character. A great addition. As with any litre bike, it does really shift in the higher revs.

      Which Bike Do you know what it sounds like without the arrows? just wondering what real difference it makes.

    • @RevMonkey
      @RevMonkey  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Reece Evans The whistley sound is still there but it misses out on some bass, growl and hasnt got those overrun pops which were pretty epic.
      I wold throroughly recommened the Arrows.

      Damn, thats friggin tempting... Those ARROWS make that bike even better, more exciting and more engaging. Terrific sound.

    Nice bike ,I looked at this bike before I bought the 1000r for 11500,you get so much more for your money eg 160 horses ,cruise control ,t/control ,quick shifter ,esp,etc.it just makes the triumph look so dated,but nice bike anyway.

    Did you like this better than the Kaw z1000 or the Suzuki? Or the BMW s1000r? What is your favorite bike so far?

    • @RevMonkey
      @RevMonkey  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      dry509
      Hi,
      Not been on the BMW but if its anything like the RR then it will be very fast but perhaps not have as much character than the others and certainly more expensive. The Aprilia Tuono is brilliant but also expensive.
      Its a difficult call. The Suzuki is really good looking in the flesh but dynamically and overall it cant win in this company. Good value though.
      The KTM Super Duke like the BMW is epically fast, the Triumph has something special and sounds bloody awesome with the Arrows.
      I've yet to ride the Brutale but wouldnt buy one as I am just not confident on servicing.
      The Kawasaki looks really agressive and has some wicked colour options.
      The Triumph Speed Triple with the Arrows is excellent and still cool.
      On a budget, I would go for the Triumph..
      With no budget issues I would go for the Tuona.

    @ApriliaRacer14 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Opted for the Aprilia Tuono in lieu of the Speed Triple for one reason....get rid of that "Whistling" noise when you rev the triple. So annoying! Also, the Aprilia handled much better cornering.

    • @RevMonkey
      @RevMonkey  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ducati Drew
      Yeah, the Aprilia bashes it dynamically.
      I don't mind the whistling. It makes it stand out but i can understand that people would find it annoying.
      It was more than made up in this case by some excellent Arrows.

    • @ApriliaRacer14
      @ApriliaRacer14 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which Bike The Speed Triple is a heck of a lot more comfortable too! I loved everything just couldn't get past the whistling.

    • @RevMonkey
      @RevMonkey  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ha, fair enough. It is not for everyone. I would stick with a Ducati and it tractor engine about to explode sound :)

    Have you tried the street triple yet mate? Lighter, smaller engine but not much slower, I'm still in love with mine after 2 years.

      Hi Lordy, hope you are well, not heard from you for a while.
      You know, somehow, I have still not ridden what many magazine and video reviewers think is one of the very best motorcycles that sort of amount of money can buy - ever.
      Still, I have been on the Daytone which is damn similar and I am doing a Panigale vs Daytona R shootout next week! :)
      I will have a go on the street as I want too see if is better than the MT-09 and even the Suziki GSX-S1000 which is super value now.

    • @LordBirch
      @LordBirch 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I have a fairly clean 2013 model sat at home, if you do fancy a ride out sometime let me know fella, almost finished my run of nights....only 2 more left but feeling the need to get out on 2 wheels.
      Did do a review of a ktm rc390 last week,only for the camera not to have recorded any of it!

      I was the guy who tucked under u on the street with the Werks can. I now have the 2016 Speed Triple S. The Street is the British Spitfire. The Speed is the hurricane. Speed had to go bak for a check up and was lent a 2016 Street, I made the right decision as if I had kept the fantastic Street, then less could have been said for my licence. Both fantastic bikes, but the Speed is the lazy man's Street. Happy riding.

    It's not really a beast ..animal or even what I would call fast but has character and a certain charm for every day riding ..guess it depends what you have jumped off before getting on this tame triple but ha e that's my opinion and that's the point isn't it ..I don't share your view ..try the BMW 1000 or v4 aprillia they have got fast animal rip ur arms off power

    • @RevMonkey
      @RevMonkey  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      shaneweightman
      Hi Shane, you are right of course. I use BEAST a lot.. all motorcycles are beasts in the geenral sense of the word to me. The Tuono, S1000, and dont forget the SuperDuke - they are B E A S T S.
      I need a new word for them.. perhaps Super Beast covers it :)

    • @RevMonkey
      @RevMonkey  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The biggest beast so far on m journey...
      Over 1000cc = SuperDukeR
      Under 1000cc = Brutale RR

      ***** I didnt realise that.. It felt very stable and I never feared I would lose control of the bike. The rear wheel moved a little bit but no more than to make it exciting. Probably noy a bike for a beginner! :)
      I think it only had ABS. I didn''t get to learn much about it before I junped on.
