CLASSIC Shelby! Years ago, when "Tough All Over" came out, she toured with Willie Nelson. I saw their show., but I went TO SEE SHELBY! After her set, Shelby did a small meet and greet. Got to meet her, hug her neck. Oh Lord, what a thrill. So GORGEOUS and SUPREMELY TALENTED!
best not so well known singer of all time. she can sing on the Grand Ole Opry or in the hottest Jazz venue. her versatility is unmatchable. she can sing with George Jones, Willie Nelson, and on and on and compliment them all.
Been a fan of shelby for 28 years. She is amazing.. won an MCA for best new Country artist. Then 10 or more years later won a grammy for Best new Artist. More soul in her voice than any other I have ever heard. She cannot be categorized she is simply a marvelous person.
Love this girl since her cd in 1990 her whole album and her voice is amazing.. and of course Willie IS THE MAN seen him in concert 9 times +..wish this girl had made more cd's or album's, her first one my daughter had a heck of at time finding it so she bought me 2.. She loves her as well.. her first CD Things are Tough all over, in 1990 sure got me through a lot of hard times i was going through in my life at that time..Love you Shelby beautiful voice a fan forever
01:50. Somebody somewhere should design a race-track like the line from Shelby's jaw-line, up and around her ear. But I figure I'm just typing out what everybody else is thinking, so not an original thought. My future-girl is going to get lots and lots of kisses on her neck, right below that intersection, as I listen to this beautiful song over and over.

What a beautiful, amazing, flavorful voice (and performance by everyone in the band). "Don't know why." Yeah, I don't know why they didn't go into the studio and do a double cd of standards. Oh well...
too bad she left this genre of music for something, well, that just doesn't make sense. I have her CD Temptation and it is amazing that all the songs being sung by her seem to be sung by someone else. she is that versatile. and the song Where We Go From Here is incomparable to any song I have heard both in words and her interpretation.
@@jordiepaynehe thing about that is not nearly enough liked it. As for me, I adore and love Shelby and everything she has done but changing up was not a smart career move in light of the direction she went in
If you think this is good, check out link below with Shelby doing a live version of "Tell Me I'm Crazy", from same Temptation lp, also in 1993. I can only think of one singer in same league; Patsy Cline. th-cam.com/video/bZ-PlZDrATo/w-d-xo.html
This has to be the absolute best 6.39 minutes of ANYTHING on TH-cam. Thanks for brightening my every day.
Everyone should know Her!

I only discovered Shelby in recent years, I'm trying to catch up.
She is becoming one of my favorite singers.

That is the epitome of a Shelby Lynne 'slide'.
Magnificent.

As soon as Shelby said " I wanna talk about you" Willie starts playing...... Cracking up laughing. 😂❤
Two
Peas and carrots.
Love you both! Forever
Wow. Thats it. Wow.
Shelby is super young there! What a cutie! And she could still sing her ass off - amazing talent.
She still can…
Shelby is a “who the heck was that” singer. She didn’t sing for us. Fourth dimension.
Stunning.
Thats the now late great Johnny Gimble on Fiddle Wonderful...
Great
Insane - too freaking good.
American music at its finest - thanks USA
Sidemen: Paul Schmidt, piano; Mike Lefebvre, drums; Dean Reynolds, bass, Johnny Gimble, violin; Paul Buskirk, rhythm guitar
Hate to say this...but I loved her earlier stuff so much better. Her voice and intonation give me the chills. That said, I only wish her the best.
Me too but I cannot help but love all she does.
she makes you feel it deep in your soul

Don't know why
There's no sun up in the sky
Stormy weather
Since my man and I ain't together
Keeps raining all of the time
Oh, yeah
Life is bad
Gloom and misery everywhere
Stormy weather, stormy weather
And I just can get my poor self together
Oh, I'm weary all of the time
The time, so weary all of the time
When he went away
The blues walked in and met me
Oh, yeah if he stays away
Old rocking chair's gonna get me
All I do is pray
The Lord will let me
Walk in the sun once more
Oh, I can't go on, can't go on, can't go on
Everything I have is gone
Stormy weather, stormy weather
Since my man and I, me and my daddy ain't together
Keeps raining all of the time
Oh, oh, keeps raining all of the time
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah raining all of the time
Stormy stormy
Stormy weather
Yeah

So you didn’t like the Dusty record at all? Just A Little Lovin?

and johnny gimble on fiddle, how cool is that?
Johnny is the best!
wow
When was this? update the description.
1993
This is early ninties
What year is this?
Can't be 2014.
Does anyone know what year and name of this event?
I'd guess at 1993 since he said she'd just released Temptation. No clue what the event is.
Looks like a TNN TV Special
Only one version of "Stormy Weather" tops this, and that version belongs to Lena Horne.
