We had the windows down and people were staring🤨at us at intersections, but we didn't care, it was hilarious and wonderful! The funniest part was that my roommate didn't even like your music but he knew all the words because it played on AM Radio every 41 Mins😂🤣 Anyway, I could go on and on. I love Barry Manilow so much! I have come to the conclusion that he was the greatest love of my life even though I never met him in person. He's my favorite singer and musician my Mental Health is terrible and he's really saved me many times. Let me speak about this particular video. I had two copies of the CD I loved it so much. I didn't buy it until after I saw him in person in September 2004 at Madison Square Garden in NYC. I am not musical but I have always admired musicians the most since I was a toddler and Barry Manilow ❤ is at the top of my list! After I bought the CD, I would relax after a long day at work I would relax by listening to Barry❤❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤
His medleys never cease to amaze me. They are sheer perfection! I used to love to sing along with Barry after a long day at work and a long commute home and I would frequently sing along with Barry , often to this CD. Anyway I can't sing and have asthma but I was able to build up my breath by belting along with Barry ❤.He is definitely the greatest entertainer of his generation, as Rolling Stone stated and I would add the greatest American musician of his generation !

I have loved him since early 70's and I am 82 now..and I play his cd's and sing along. Most of his love songs make me tear up because he reminds me of the love of my life and a lost love.. 💝😢
Barry is the type of singer.you cant just listen while cleaning. You have to stop and truly get in the moment with him. Some songs and music we can do house cleaning. But Barry has a magnificent appeal and so I have to actually stop and be a part of the concert. Dance, sway , sing along. Just enjoy him!!❤❤❤❤

23 songs in 21 minutes and that doesn't even cover half of his great songs. Went to quite a few of Barry's concerts back in the day, and they were the most entertaining shows I've ever been to. Mr. Manilow is a hell of a singer/songwriter/arranger and entertainer. One of a dying breed unfortunately. I'm glad he's supporting music in schools. We need more proper musicians like him.
Watching this again of course Barry's talent is amazing but let's also appreciate the talents of the musicians and backup singers. So seamless from going song to song and great sound. Kudos to all.

Barry is probably the most brilliant singer-songwriter of our times. He’s written countless songs which not only became very popular but had become part of our souls. This 22-minute medley already included most of his songs that became very famous but a lot of others have not even made the cut.
Marlene I don't disagree he's a brilliant musician all around. For people like me now in my 60s, the musician, artists, from this generation is incomparable in my opinion. But if I had to pick the most brilliant, it would be Paul McCartney! Guinness book of record's agrees. But these are great memories. Studio musician is one of my favorites that didn't do as good on charts. But he performed it so well. And to think he started by doing jingles for commercials!!! 👍🎶☮️🎹🎼

I lost a bet with my wife ( ex wife) and she chose a Barry Manilow concert as her prize. This was around 1995-96? One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Amazing songwriter and performer. We lost our beagle to cancer 3 days ago, I haven’t laughed or smiled since, until now. Thank you, Barry!!

@@josettemonachino4162 thank you. My phone screen saver is a pic of him. His name was Bagel. Bagel the Beagle. Lol. That was his name in the shelter and we kept it. We still have his bed and blanket in our living room and our chihuahua, they were best friends lays in it.

Took him to the vet to see if he was chipped, he wasn’t. Took him to police station to see if anybody reported him missing. Nobody did. The cop said don’t put this on social media, there’s a dog fighting ring in our area and he said this little 5 pound chihuahua would be fed as a treat or sparring partner for one of those vicious dogs. People can be so cruel!! So we held onto him, named him Lucky. Found out a month later that a tenant moved out and left him behind. He ran out of the apt when maintenance went in to paint and turn the apt over for the next resident. He’s been with us for 3 years now. He misses his buddy Bagel, as we all do.
Why is the music of today so dull. When I listen to this music I hear a melody and decent words not disgusting verses. I like the Song that makes the whole world sing

The older I get the more I recognize that he rates as one of the greatest songwriters in the history of time alongside Cole Porter Lerner & Lowe Irving Berlin yadda yadda yadda.
Except he didn’t write a BUNCH of the songs he performed. He was a master at choosing great songs written by others and then arranging them in ways that were all his. Not to say he couldn’t write songs because he certainly could and did. But much of what he did was written by others like “Mandy” and “I Write The Songs.” Kudos to him for giving those songwriters a shot to have songs performed by him.
@@Tbird2191 about 30-40 % of his work is by others including his biggest hits Mandy and I write the songs . I like his work but he’s not up there with a Porter or Berlin.
I recall seeing this show when it came to NYC. Took a couple along who were Barry non-believers who were 'converted' by the end of it all. Having seen him at least a dozen times (last in 2019) he never disappoints. He's immensely talented and puts time and effort into his shows...which is why he is still in demand at arenas around the world in 2022
He is the most incredibly talented singer, songwriter, arranger. I have seen him in concert too many times to count. I love all his songs, especially the ones that never made it to the radio. I've been on a Barry kick lately and they always bring me back to the time when I was totally obsessed. I still appreciate the fact that he wrote songs with a beginning, middle and end. And there is nobody better at adding modulation into a song. Thanks, Barry for all of these great years of music!

Love Barry, his songs & music. Saw him in concert on Broadway in NY in 1982 with my boyfriend at that time, the love of my life. We are not together broke up in 1985. Over the years have thought about him and all the moments & memories we shared together. Bad timing unfortunately, when we meet even though I knew we belonged together we parted. A part of me will always love him for the time we shared together and always when I hear Barry Manilow sing his songs remember that great concert that night and that wonderful night we shared. ❤😢
He ferform before in San Francisco but after the show few of us did not left right away ‘cause he is setting down on in front of the stage so we try to shake his hands but he ignored us the other one is shouting his name still did’nt say anything. How I love Barry Manilow. My older sister was a fan and I use to play all her vinyls over and over in the 80's. His music awakens something so deep in my soul. I was fortunate enough to see him a few years back with my sister. He was phenomenal.

Having a father who played piano I've always loved piano music and about 6 years ago I said I want to see Billy Joel, Elton John and Barry Manilow live before I'm gone. That book is one of my most treasured things along with many BarryGrams from the International Fan Club. My younger son was 13 and went to a concert in Oklahoma City Concert... he stood up in a chair next to us and danced with you! We both had a blast!

His songs started affecting me greatly when I was 12 in 1979. In my teen years I left Barry for Motley Crue, Scorpions and the like, but just recently I came back to my first love, Barry. There's no one else like him and no one who writes songs like him.
I still like rock music as well as other genres. From The Cars to Ozzy Osbourne to Tom Petty to U2. And many artists in between. Barry is a great talent that I'm tuning into more and more as I inch closer and closer to 60. And all the artists that go good with him.

Comes alive on stage. Great performer. Still remember goung to see him in the outdoor theater in the round in the South Shore of Massachusetts in college 1978. It was thrilling. I saw him in his limo after the show. Got front row tickets my ftiend s dad owned the venue. No cell phones then but the memory is forever burned into my memory. The thrill of my young life.

"Weekend in New England" has always brought tears to my eyes, but his performance here was even more sensitive and beautiful than the original, IMO -- just exquisite. I remember being so excited when I got Barry Manilow Live for X-mas as a kid. It wasn't long thereafter that the Barry haters came out of the woodwork, and like most kids, I didn't wanna endure the hate, so I hid my enjoyment of his music. I eventually wised up, and will unabashedly enjoy and defend his wonderful catalog for as long as I live.
His songs are timeless, and truly come from the heart. Many of us can identify with these songs, and I can see our Grandkids enjoying these songs when they grow up ❤️

This is why Barry Manilow is one of the greatest entertainers of our time, and I'm proud to say that I've been a fan of his since the beginning.
23 songs in 21 minutes and that doesn't even cover half of his great songs. Went to quite a few of Barry's concerts back in the day, and they were the most entertaining shows I've ever been to. Mr. Manilow is a hell of a singer/songwriter/arranger and entertainer. One of a dying breed unfortunately. I'm glad he's supporting music in schools. We need more proper musicians like him.
Watching this again of course Barry's talent is amazing but let's also appreciate the talents of the musicians and backup singers. So seamless from going song to song and great sound. Kudos to all.

Took him to the vet to see if he was chipped, he wasn’t. Took him to police station to see if anybody reported him missing. Nobody did. The cop said don’t put this on social media, there’s a dog fighting ring in our area and he said this little 5 pound chihuahua would be fed as a treat or sparring partner for one of those vicious dogs. People can be so cruel!!
So we held onto him, named him Lucky. Found out a month later that a tenant moved out and left him behind. He ran out of the apt when maintenance went in to paint and turn the apt over for the next resident. He’s been with us for 3 years now. He misses his buddy Bagel, as we all do.
Why is the music of today so dull. When I listen to this music I hear a melody and decent words not disgusting verses. I like the Song that makes the whole world sing

Except he didn’t write a BUNCH of the songs he performed. He was a master at choosing great songs written by others and then arranging them in ways that were all his. Not to say he couldn’t write songs because he certainly could and did. But much of what he did was written by others like “Mandy” and “I Write The Songs.” Kudos to him for giving those songwriters a shot to have songs performed by him.

I recall seeing this show when it came to NYC. Took a couple along who were Barry non-believers who were 'converted' by the end of it all. Having seen him at least a dozen times (last in 2019) he never disappoints. He's immensely talented and puts time and effort into his shows...which is why he is still in demand at arenas around the world in 2022

He is the most incredibly talented singer, songwriter, arranger. I have seen him in concert too many times to count. I love all his songs, especially the ones that never made it to the radio. I've been on a Barry kick lately and they always bring me back to the time when I was totally obsessed. I still appreciate the fact that he wrote songs with a beginning, middle and end. And there is nobody better at adding modulation into a song. Thanks, Barry for all of these great years of music!

Love Barry, his songs & music. Saw him in concert on Broadway in NY in 1982 with my boyfriend at that time, the love of my life. We are not together broke up in 1985. Over the years have thought about him and all the moments & memories we shared together. Bad timing unfortunately, when we meet even though I knew we belonged together we parted. A part of me will always love him for the time we shared together and always when I hear Barry Manilow sing his songs

How I love Barry Manilow. My older sister was a fan and I use to play all her vinyls over and over in the 80's. His music awakens something so deep in my soul. I was fortunate enough to see him a few years back with my sister. He was phenomenal.

Having a father who played piano I've always loved piano music and about 6 years ago I said I want to see Billy Joel, Elton John and Barry Manilow live before I'm gone. Saw Billy 5 years ago, Elton twice in 6 months on his farewell tour last year. Now this makes me want to see Barry even more. Simply amazing medley. 🎉

That book is one of my most treasured things along with many BarryGrams from the International Fan Club. His songs started affecting me greatly when I was 12 in 1979. In my teen years I left Barry for Motley Crue, Scorpions and the like, but just recently I came back to my first love, Barry. There's no one else like him and no one who writes songs like him.
My favorite band is Iron Maiden...but I can sing this entire melody..
I still like rock music as well as other genres. From The Cars to Ozzy Osbourne to Tom Petty to U2. And many artists in between. Barry is a great talent that I'm tuning into more and more as I inch closer and closer to 60. And all the artists that go good with him.

Comes alive on stage. Great performer. Still remember goung to see him in the outdoor theater in the round in the South Shore of Massachusetts in college 1978. It was thrilling. I saw him in his limo after the show. Got front row tickets my ftiend s dad owned the venue. No cell phones then but the memory is forever burned into my memory. The thrill of my young life.

"Weekend in New England" has always brought tears to my eyes, but his performance here was even more sensitive and beautiful than the original, IMO -- just exquisite.
I remember being so excited when I got Barry Manilow Live for X-mas as a kid. It wasn't long thereafter that the Barry haters came out of the woodwork, and like most kids, I didn't wanna endure the hate, so I hid my enjoyment of his music. I eventually wised up, and will unabashedly enjoy and defend his wonderful catalog for as long as I live.
