@@IrishScott71 that’s great! I already ordered the parts and have my mechanic working on it. Should be done by Tuesday. I did a conversion for the armada last year and it was 100% great. I’m surprised this is not popular in the states. I learned about this on a Dubai trip in 2022.

Correct me if im wrong but you state the brown wire needs 5 volts....And the other ACC ( as far as im aware) is12v.....That means you would be feeding over 2x voltage to the rear camera than designed.....Just dont want you to burnout your camera over time.
Did the vendor indicate they would address the temperature snafu? Looks like even in fahrenheit it is still showing celcius temperature. Great video series!
The temperature setting actually worked. In the temperature setting menu, not only do you have to slide the C to F button, but right below it, you have to slide the "conversion" button too. Shut off your vehicle and restart it. Now my temperature reads true 80F.
@@sngopho I doubt it. They have to keep the original wire schematic to work on probably Asian and European models. The additional wire harness is if anyone from America wants to purchase it.
I don't know about 2014+ GX460, but my 2013 has a heated wiper blade function on the factory screen thats great for winter and ice. Does this screen have a button for that functionality?
Hey Bob! Now that all of the previous issues seem to be solved, have you stumbled upon any new issues? Will all of the additional harnesses be provided automatically if someone ordered one of these right now or are they going to have to manually request them like you did? Additionally, the BeatSonic unit is on sale directly from Lexus right now for $600. While the unit shown here is tempting, I’m not sure yet if it offers an additional $700-800 of value. It seems the biggest difference is having a nice touchscreen compared to the one I have in my 2014 which would not be great to navigate with CarPlay. Have you noticed any other features that give this unit the edge over using the BeatSonic with OEM? I imagine many people watching this series are wondering the same things. Lastly, did you go with the 4+64GB unit or the 6+128GB unit? Is there any noticeable difference between them? Thanks!
I did stumble across one issue but its not really an issue. When the volume is at its highest i started to hear a hint of ground noise (whining). It went away when i readjusted the OEM volume button on the OEM radio. I have the 64GB as i have no need for anything more since I'm using the Navi for simple basic stuff. My original intent was to do the facelift for aesthetics, not outperform carplay, wifi, XM satellite, GPS tracking, etc....I don't care about any of that. Carlinklife will provide the extra connectors in their future kits. Anyone who bought it without the connectors will receive them automatically. Make sure you contact them at support@carlinklife.com to check status. They used to be quick but because of the release of my video, they are now bombarded with customer service requests. Beatsonic is a very solid unit. I really liked it and i can stand behind their quality. I didn't get this navi unit for carplay, i got it for the way it looks in my truck. As long as i made sure all the basic functions worked, I'm happy with this Navi unit.
GX*BOB So grateful you showed us this fix. I was going to get a hold of these folks to see if this works with my 17-speaker ML stereo but no reply yet to my email. But now you’ve brought me another question… I have a 2013 and your fix is labeled 2014+. Does this mean I shouldn’t see any issues with camera or airbag lights? Or it means they haven’t generated. Fix for early Gen2? Thank you for all you do!
@@IrishScott71 the navigation unit comes with 2 different bundles as I showed in my original video- pre 2014 and post 2014. So you should be good. The ML system should be fine because oem and aftermarket head units outputs to an amplifier prior to whatever speaker system your truck comes with.
I installed mine but the reverse camera fuse kept blowing so I left it unplugged for now. I have the ACC cable, didn't use it, could that be the issue? Installed it on a 2020 GX.
@@ignasolares in order to do process of elimination you’ll have to use every wire and connector I used in the video. You might want to start with that accessory wire you left unconnected. Then look for any pinched wire that could have grounded when you shoved your radio back in its home. Then look for any wire that got pulled out of its connector by accident during reinstall. Hi Bob: First, thank you for all your hard work. I have a 2016 and I’m looking for a CarPlay solution. Question for you: It looks like the original clock is flashing. Is that just from recording or does the clock flash? That would drive me nuts to have something flashing while driving.
The clock does not flash, that is the camera's shutter setting is something i have to master. If you see some of my prior videos, i am terrible at photography/cinematography.

Ironically, i had issues with my back being stuck to the leather every time i rode topless down Pacific Coast Highway. I tried out a bunch of different methods and the one that seemed to work well is having someone lather a lot of anal lube all over your back. It's a game changer.
it doesn't just happen to aftermarket. Lexus has many issues with their vehicles when they put out a new model in their first and second year of release. But i don't refer to Lexus as junk. I blame potential great technology that needs all the kinks worked out. For that to happen, products must be used and provided feedback to. Unfortunately, many products outside of the USA don't have the accessibility of a North American edition vehicle to test on. Whatever trim or edition they tested on, worked.

It doesn't address the issue with OEM 360 Cameras but I resolved it after trying different things. If anyone has the OEM cameras, they would have a white cable that is very similar to the blue cable and it is the white cable that should be connected to the blue connector on the harness. It won't fit directly as the groove on both connectors don't match so I had to use a scraper to shave out the groove in the blue connector on the harness so that the white cable can fit in.

The 27F resetted itself after i restarted the engine. It now reads in true 80 F.
