was thinking about deleting just the driver side third row seat and adding a drawer system that side. As you were going through this do you think its possible to do that and keep it clean and tidy, or do you think its kind of an all or nothing removal?
It would be a lot of work to make it look clean and tidy but it could certainly be done. The seats are two separate assemblies. All the covers are not

I have read the center “thing” is the spare tpms sensor. Did you ever confirm if it is indeed the proximity sensor?
Everything I read said that is a proximity sensor for the remote

That sensor is one of the ones designed to help keep you from inadvertently locking the key in the car.
