Awesome video thank you! My husband got frustrated with ours the other day and just kept pulling the cord till finally it seized up. So handy wife to the rescue. I was able to get the top off and remove the coil after putting our toddler to bed. Lost too much day light to finish it tonight. Will finish it up tomorrow thanks to your help!
@@smallengineguys it did but when I put the top back on, after doing everything exactly how you did, the pull cord is still stuck. The star shaped piece keeps getting stuck on those two prongs. The springs on them are fine but it’s almost like it’s spinning in the wrong direction.

I bought a brand new Ryobi blower 175, and the coil was installed incorrectly, and it wont retract. Finally found a video that actually helped me solve my issue. Thank you.
Great video. Took me about 10 minutes. A tip for those hard to reach screws. Get a socket that fits over the driver handle end and use it to remove and install those two screws.
Pull the rope out on the iside turn the pulley clockwise 1 turn allowing the side of the rope against the pulley to follow the pulley around. Then pull rope out from outside to remove inner loop. Let go. Watch any of my recoil videos they all are the same concept just this one goes clockwise others go counter
