A lot of viewers have been real thankful for our DIY videos and have ask if there was a way to buy us a Beer. TH-cam now has a ‘THANKS’ button under every video, Just click the button. 😀 It’s not required or expected, but it is appreciated. THANK YOU!
A repair Shop affiliated with Samsung told me that the pannel was not good anymore and to replace it it would cost me 600$ ... i tried this and it worked , thank you so much
This is my first ever youtube comment and it is worth it! You have saved me a large amount of money replacing my TV 👍🏽👍🏽 I did had to trial and error a couple of times between the sides as when I took the ribbon out to find which side was causing it I got a black screen 😆
Thank you so much! We had a crazy week of our fridge, washer and 2 cars dying on us. We replaced the fridge and washer and got the cars fixed. Of course the tv would start acting up on us the second we had everything all set. Thanks to you and your great user friendly directions we didn’t have to add a tv to the list of things to buy or have someone fix. Thank you so very much! It worked!
I never write comments on TH-cam videos but this one deserves it. You saved me so much time, money, and headaches. For those reading, it did take a good amount of tries to figure out which strip needed the tape but when you get the clear picture, it’s a great feeling. Thank you SOOO much for this video and your assistance! Is there a way I can support you or your business to show my gratitude?
I have no idea how much money I have saved because of your video. Every service I called said it's not worth fixing this this and I will be better off with buying a new TV. Well little do they know, there is a godlike guy on youtube who used a small piece of tape and fixed the whole issue within MINUTES. Thank you 🙏 you are amazing!
works for me.. from 11th pin to 20th..but you have to try correct side of flexi connector.. First not worked, but i put tape on other side of connector and it worked.. great.thanks
Thank you so much. Saved a lot of time and money. I wasn't seeing any picture when I removed either of the connectors but still proceeded to put the tape on the right connector leaving the first 10 pins and it worked like magic!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You're a life saver! On the Samsung communities they have you reset the image, reset the entire TV disconnect any periphicals (like that makes a difference if you have this issue on the on screen menus as well :( ) In addition to this my experience: -Pull one flat cable: no image at all -Pull the other flat cable (putting the first one back of course): no image at all So, I thought I had really broken the TV now! -Push both cables back: image was back and after a few minutes the issue re occurred. -Just taped from about the 10th pin on one of the cables (50% chance I have right one ;) ): issue seemed to be gone, but so was about 10 cm of the image on the left side :( -Cut off a piece of tape of about 4mm in width. Taped that on the place where I had just put the wider piece of tape: yes! The issue was gone and I had the complete image! So as it turns out, one can easily fix this with a piece of tape!
Our TV is currently doing this, we are trying this fix, will update with results. Nothing is coming on when we disconnect either connecter, but I’ve seen other comments saying it works anyways, so I figure what do we have to lose? Edit: it works!!! Thank you!!! Saved us so much money!
Thank you so so much!! God bless you and my son who found your video, Samsung said it is not worth to repair the TV and that we should get a new one, how is this good for the environment. It's really great of you to share your tips, it works amazingly! ❤
Thank you so much for this video. Wasn't totally sure what I was doing but my dad and I tried our best to follow your instructions and we fixed it! Thank you so much!
Thanks you.. i gave my TV to three service guys and they all said that i need new TV or repair will be expansive. Today i almost wanted buy new tv for 600€ but i tried your advice and i hope it will last. You saved much money for people out there.
OMG I never leave comments but you sir are a genius, this just saved me £700. Mine was on the opposite side so if anyone has the problem on the other cable go from the outside inwards when counting the 10 pins (I had to use macro mode on camera as my eyes are not what they used to be!) Sent some thanks, its not much but you deserve it
I was minutes away from posting our tv up for sale for peanuts, tried googling if there's a solution one more time and found this diamond of a video. Had to try multiple times taping over the pins before found the right place but fixed the flickering problem like a charm. Probably saved me hundreds of pounds, thank you so much
Omg!I usually don't comment but you saved me money! At first I kept putting it in the wrong place but after cutting the tape thinner and starting from left to right not right to left on the left strip I finally got it to stop flickering. Took about 2 hrs but definently worth it. Thank you so much ❤
from left to right? Which way did you have the TV then? did you leave the 10 pins on the right side open and then cut the tape smaller and smaller on the other side?
@@baron4238 hey, what I meant was that i was putting the tape on the wrong side. You know how in the video his problem is on the right strip, so he puts the tape on the right strip counting the ten lines from right to left? My problem was on the left strip not the right. But I, like the guy from the video counted the 10 lines from right to left on the left strip(not the same as his since his was the right strip) in stead of counting the 10 lines from the left to the right. When I finally did it the right way with like 1 inch of tape it worked and is still working till today.🤗
It worked. It took me a few tries to get the right amount of pins covered. After that there was a black line of the side of the screen, that was fixed by cutting the tape in half. Thank you so much for your video!
Problem with flickering screen disappear 🫡👌 but still have that black line on … u said to cut the tape on half meaning… I tied to cut a long, then in width and still can’t manage it… can you explain me… will really appreciate
Well, I can't figured which connector is problematic because with one unplugged I didn't have picture at all. I used tape hack for right connector and it's fixed! Thank you:)
I tried it and worked like a charm!! I couldn't view the TV to check which ribbon cable it was so I placed the tape about where you put it, plugged TV in got it right on the 1st try Thank you P.S. If it goes out again I think I'll just replace the Ribbon Cable
I just stumbled upon your video and fixed my Samsung The Frame 2020, 55inch. It had similar issues and at first I only saw one ribbon so I was confused. After looking further I saw on the bottom two small ribbons that were connected with the big one. So these were indeed for the left and right side of the screen. However blocking pin 11-20 with tape didn't solve it entirely, as I had grey lines on top and throughout the screen and some other green lines. It was pretty watchable but I tried some more pins and eventually blocking pin 12-20 solved it entirely for me :-) Thanks so much!
Came here to say: this worked!! Had to place the tape a 2nd time but it’s working now. I got this tv refurbished from Samsung after my first one started having issues, and a month in it started with this. Hopefully this lasts longer than the job they did! Thanks so much
It really worked. On the right side, the first 12 pins free, then about 17 or a few more covered with tape. And them the flickering is over. Thanks man !
Very helpful and did the trick thanks. Would be interesting to know why it works. For anyone else attempting this repair, I found it much easier to guess 10 pins in (because they are tiny), put a thin strip of tape where I thought it should be (cut 2/3rds off the width of standard tape) and then took a photo on my phone and zoomed in to count them, adjusting accordingly.
I really thought that this was somekind of bull$hit. I was like it cant be real. Well turns out this works. Counted 10pins from the side and put some packaging tape on right side ribbon. And now my tv no longer flickers. Cheers bro, you literally saved me.
Thank you for your video. I fixed my tv using this method and i confirm it works! I had to place my tape on the left ribbon connector, as that was where my problem was. I used a piece of tape about 1cm wide, on the 11th pin (leaving 10 pins unblocked from the left side)
Instructions unclear I am now wrapped in tape… just kidding thanks a million man! Samsung had quoted me $450 to swap the LCD panel. I owe you big time!
Can you explain what he did because I'm more confused after watching this video than before I started. Why does he keep saying ten line? How many lines were covered by the tape?
I was really hoping this would work for me, I was surprised and happy that it did. When you do it make sure you cover the 10th-20th pin..so that means that the tape can't be too wide.thanks again for this video!
Amazing! I don’t know how you figured out this work around! Worked on my 55” Samsung Smart TV!!! I had my doubts, thank you! You must work for Samsung to have come up with this fix!
Brilliant video, however it would have been good to find out how to remove the back plate of the TV. I had to watch another video to find this out. TV working perfectly again, many thanks to you.
Removing either ribbon just made the whole screen blank. But I tried the sticky tape anyway and it worked! Here's a tip, if you can't read the pins coz they're too small, take a close up pic on your phone then zoom in your saved photo to count how many you've taped over
Just curious for info these pins 11-21 have definitely some function as per manufacturer...so by putting tape on these pins we block or isolate, signals/voltage, from these pins to mother board...??? And the jumping problem is resolved...??
Awesome! This solution works perfectly. 😂😂 I must say it was a haslet trying to open my TV. But it paid off. I would have spent so much money for a repair service. Thanks man
100% works. 👏👏Thanks a lot for the video buddy. My tv is samsung UE50RU7470U. I had same problem but finding which connector was causing issue was pain. If I disconnect one connector my screen will go blank not like shown in the video. So I made a lucky guess and tapped 10 pin after on right strip connector and it worked. 👏👏
Thank you so much, i had a problem with my tv, in this case, the left side of the panel was grey-ish and the right side was normal. I had another T-con board with different flexible cables, so i just changed the right side cable and it worked.
Thankyou! This helped me. When i tried to check which one was the issue i couldnt find it. As i removed one side the screen turned completely black. So i assumed as you did and chose the right one. And left 10 pins from the right and on the 11 i put the tape. Tape was 1 cm wide. After that screen works perfectly. Thanks
Stupidly easy fix for an even stupider issue, this worked for me too! Cut some tape in half and covered ten pins from the right on the right strap and it worked!
Mixed results on my 50 inch Samsung UN50NU6900. Less flickering but still twitches, I will let it run for a few hours to see if it worsens. I have to redo the tape and zoom some pics to make sure I covered all the right pins 11-20. This really seems to get worse as temperature increases and, as an electronics engineer, I am tempted to reflow the board as a last resort to see if that fixes it. What signals are present in those blocked pins 11-20, please ? I would like to understand WHY we are blocking those pins. Thank you.
Disconnecting either side left me with no picture at all, but I just applied the tape on the right side and it worked. My tape was a bit thicker than yours and maybe covered up too many pins and left me with small black strip on the right, no flickering though.. cutting the tape in half width ways seemed to do it, smaller than that left me with horizontal lines.. anyway thanks for the solution dude
Solved! Thank you , it worked. I have seen many similar clips, but only in this one is a Samsung model like mine. The problem for me was on the left plug. I succeeded the first time with a wide size but I wanted to reduce it to 3 pins. The problem reappeared but not as obvious as the first time. I came back with the wide size and it works. What changes did I make to remove these pins? What differences should I notice on the display?
Wow! Thank you it worked. Maybe i need to cover more pins with tape... flickering has completely stopped, but i have a 1cm wide vertical black line on the left of the screen
@@repoapps hey thanks for trying to help get rid of the line, I tried leaving the 1st 9, 10, 11 & 12 pins exposed and the line is still there. Gonna put the back on... unless there's anything else I can try. Ps. I'm using 4mm wide tape
Samsung UE50NU7400 worked for me! My screen was all black when i unplugged a cable, covered the same cable from pin 11 to 24 inclusive. Hope the problem does not start again, THANKS A LOT! Grazie 1000 sei grande!
Unreal - honestly thanks to this legend for posting this video. Also, my fix was to cover the left ribbon - 10pins from the left. Took me 5 go’s but it works!!!
Thank you so much it’s wonderful and it’s working.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One question?! ⚠️🛑🛑 With that method i will miss some features or quality of the picture ?
This worked to solve the initial jumping display but drastically reduced the color output on the left side. I replaced the Tcon cables on both sides and the jumping issue returned so I put the taped cable back.
The question would be what pins are really the culprit? Are there pins I can leave uncovered that will fix the color issue without reintroducing the jumping issue?
I have a UE65KU6680. For that TV, each disconnected connector makes the screen blank. I chose the top connector (same wire as the right one). After about ten contacts (from the top of the connector), I isolated the about next ten contacts with a piece of tape sticked on the wire. I didn't count accurately and probably got lucky because that totally solved the flickering issue. Thanks a lot, my TV is happy. I would like to know HOW electronically these deconnections resolve the subject. Often a problem is created by lost contacts but here it's the oposite. Please explain it to me ! .
actually the problem comes from the tab cof of the panel ,so to resolve this issue we disconnected the signal ( feed back) from ckv pins to ic controller .
I factory resetted my smart samsung tv and it worked also to fix wifi not connecting just turn off your wifi for 30s and turn it back on. I wasted 200 dollars for delivery and a repair shop that's highly rated couldn't even fix this problem and they had a month to fix it.
Thank you for the video! It's fixed the issues however i can't seem to get the color to correctly work now. It's fades the color out now from left to right. Might be time for a new tv. Thank you though
I have a Sony led with this issue but my tcon ribbons don't isolate left or right half of screen. Should I be focusing on the CKV points? I have CKV 1 - 4 and CKVB 1 - 4.

What changes did I make to remove these pins? What differences should I notice on the display?
no need to remove the pins just use a tape to isolate it , no difference.
happy for you 😊
This was a massive help. Thanks a lot
Thank you , very mach for your information.
All my compliments.
Wasnt expecting this, but it works😂❤
Thanks a lot Hero, greetings from Poland

you're welcome 😉
Legit Your a Savior dude 😎
currently having this same issue. Tried common fixes but doesn't fix issue. Im gonna try your fix and hope it will work.
Wow! Thank you it worked. Maybe i need to cover more pins with tape... flickering has completely stopped, but i have a 1cm wide vertical black line on the left of the screen
cover just 9 or 10 pin
@@repoapps hey thanks for trying to help get rid of the line, I tried leaving the 1st 9, 10, 11 & 12 pins exposed and the line is still there. Gonna put the back on... unless there's anything else I can try. Ps. I'm using 4mm wide tape
Samsung UE50NU7400
worked for me!
OMG, can't believe this worked on the 1st try and I winged it as well, thanks lol
Thank you so much it’s wonderful and it’s working.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One question?! ⚠️🛑🛑
With that method i will miss some features or quality of the picture ?
no , happy for you 😉
Easy fix!!! Thank you!!!!
Glad it helped!
Thankx bro I just fixed my shit , you help me save hella money gang
This worked to solve the initial jumping display but drastically reduced the color output on the left side. I replaced the Tcon cables on both sides and the jumping issue returned so I put the taped cable back.
The question would be what pins are really the culprit? Are there pins I can leave uncovered that will fix the color issue without reintroducing the jumping issue?
Worked for me too! Had to cut the tape in half so it didn’t cover as many pins, thank you very much that’s saved us a lot of money 🙏
How many pins should the tape cover? Or is that irrelevant?
Thank you, because I don't like to manipulate without understanding. Now I feel a little less stupid.
@@repoapps is there not a solution like changing ic or something? Or blocking the signal is just the solution
Thank you! I thought i had to replace my tv and now i dont have to 😀
I factory resetted my smart samsung tv and it worked also to fix wifi not connecting just turn off your wifi for 30s and turn it back on. I wasted 200 dollars for delivery and a repair shop that's highly rated couldn't even fix this problem and they had a month to fix it.
Thanks youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. This worked for us!!!!!!
Thank you for the video! It's fixed the issues however i can't seem to get the color to correctly work now. It's fades the color out now from left to right. Might be time for a new tv. Thank you though
just cover 10pins if you cover more then that the picture may be not correct
8:37 if i calculate correct you i see the first 12 golden are left out and then 17 golden pins are taped after wards?
thank you so much. it work again! 😄
Thanks for lowering my bp 😉, it worked
Worked. Right cable tapes. No flickers
I have a Sony led with this issue but my tcon ribbons don't isolate left or right half of screen. Should I be focusing on the CKV points? I have CKV 1 - 4 and CKVB 1 - 4.
