These village videos are enlightening and also your best work. I’m still working a 9/5 and saving up, but it’s good to know if I got really burnt out on the rat race and my investments tanked I would have the option to still get out of the west and live a decent life out in the village on a budget.

# 3 Our son was age 3 one time in Cebu - he would wake up early ( as usual ) come to our bed, pull on my hair and say get up, go play.

I suggest a small handcart would really help whenever you are heading back to the village for any type of loads… an alternate to a mule👍

This reminds me of hiking up in the Bicol Mountains with my Mother in law. She was 68 and kicked all our asses walking up that mountain. We could barely keep up. She passed in 2015, and it’s always been a regret that I didn’t learn Tagalog and spend more time with her. She was a true matriarch, may she rest in peace.

The family videos are the best. It reminds me of my childhood going to my moms family farm. All the uncles and aunts, gramma and grandpa getting together. A lot of the times we all did a little farm work before the chow down. They were all farmers and landowners, but those farms are all gone now, buildings barns houses ect all gone.
