The video is the first in a series of 4 episodes that I am doing as a video essay about The French Dispatch by Wes Anderson.
There's a lot to say about The French Dispatch. When I started working on this video, I thought I knew what I was going to say, but as I peeled back the layers I found that this movie is saying a lot of things. So, I decided to make this a larger, 4 part series to help uncover the hidden meaning of The French Dispatch.
In this episode, we specifically cover the prologue, or The Epitaph of Arthur Howitzer Jr., and discuss the larger themes that this movie will cover, as established in the short story The Cycling Reporter.
