Variações Sobre o Nome da Paz - Hauptwerk Hereford

This piece was composed by Fernando Lapa in 1999 and premiered in the organ of Igreja da Lapa in Porto, Portugal.
According to the composer this piece is a kind of childish passacaglia, But the work has two explicit quotes related to peace. The first time it is an insistent phrase taken from the Gloria of Bach's mass in B minor, over the words "et in terra pax hominibus". The second is before the end, taken from Messiaen's "Trois petites liturgies". It is the only work of mine in which there is a quote from someone.
