I'm 82 years old and in my day access to an organ was via the local church and there weren't may opportunities to get practice time way back then, 70 odd years ago when I was just a boy) There must be a great many budding organist around these days with setups like this, (and I've seen much more sophisticated ones than this), so whilst a lot about the modern age is wretched, home made hauptwerks isn't one of them. I wish I was young again with my very own 'rig' and a life time ahead of me to make my own music.

Digital organs like Content and Allen are a lot better, but also a lot more expensive. I have a Content three manual and pedalboard with 30 stops. I love it. Lastly, what is so "wretched" about the present time?

Congratulations on your new Hauptwerk setup and your playing. Back in 2013 I built my first Hauptwork setup using two then three midi keyboards and a home midi converted pedal board. I have been having fun ever since. I am now waiting for an organ builder in Australia to build me a console very like yours. Even the timber is similar. Pioter Grabowski in Poland has some great free organ samples. His Friesach sample is a real beauty. I learned piano as a kid but I regret that I did not learn organ when I was younger. Much Younger. I have been dealing with Piotr for quite some time, buying and getting Hauptwerk sample sets from him. My setup has about 20 different organs on it, and I could install more, if my energy level allowed me. I am 80 years old, but in bad condition health-wise.
I have had consoles from the Content factory in Holland and It was fun to play on them.

Thanks for sharing your new Hauptwerk system and also your playing. I was unfamiliar with this lovely piece by Schumann and now I will be looking for a copy of it to study. I like how compact and simple the console is. That makes it very practical to install in a small space. And the sound is quite beautiful, but what else should I expect from a sample set taken from such a wonderful instrument!

It is one of my great regrets that my late Father, who was an organist, did not live long enough to see Hauptwerk. He actually had a console of a 1960s(?) electric organ, which he attempted to get going ( it "Sort-Of" worked). He could probably quite easily have adapted this to act as a controller for Hauptwerk, and he would have had a ball!

Hi there, very capable person for DIY assembly. I have a few queries if you have time. Thanks.
I don't see any real stop knobs or tabs, so they are all vitual on the computer?
In your connections diagram, there're no connections from the two expression pedal outputs. Would they need to go to the midi unit?
I don't see any speakers, where are they?
Does the same builder build the table stand to put the manuals on and the bench? 😊

Hi! Thank you for your message! Answering to your questions:
don't see any real stop knobs or tabs, so they are all vitual on the computer?
Yes they are all virtual on the computer
In your connections diagram, there're no connections from the two expression pedal outputs. Would they need to go to the midi unit?
No, the expression pedals are together with the pedal, the expression pedals come with the cables and you only need to connect them to the pedalboard!
don't see any speakers, where are they?
I don't use speakers because I live in a flat, but it's ready to connect speakers if I want to!
Yes the builder made the bench, console support etc

@@laurasilvamendes9185 Thank you and what part of the World are you from? it is always nice to know the organ make/model and a few details. It looks fantastic and so pleased you are happy with it. Very interesting and I had not heard of Organ Concerto ( which was on the label)and neither can I find any web site. I am from far away in New Zealand and while there is a small but strong Organ Federation here we suffer from being so remote. While Haupwerk organs are becoming so popular in Europe, USA and even Australia, there are only one or two in New Zealand which the owners have built themselves. I know of no manufactured Haupwerk organs here like yours. The Australian organ maker which uses Haupwerk, cannot do any work outside Australia. I hear Haupwerk is not so easy to set up especially with large 3+ manuals and pedalboard and I hear those who have tried to set up one have really struggled. We have no service backup apart from what is available online. For that reason I don’t have the confidence to try and build one myself.
I have been offered a large 3 manual Viscount digital organ (also Italian made) which is in New Zealand. It is not Haupwerk but I am going to travel to the city to see and try it. The problem is shipping costs have risen sharply and the $ NZ is well below the € lie making it a very expensive purchase. So I have to consider what Is available locally.
When I saw the video of your organ it looked like a Content (Netherlands) but I couldn’t find it in their product range. Content are a very good organ maker but a little more expensive than Viscount and probably others made in Italy.
If I choose not to buy the Viscount I will be looking for alternatives and interested to see what is available. Thank you once again Laura.

I am Portuguese but I am currently based in London. Yes the brand still do not have an website so if you want me to pass their details send me an email to: laurasilvamendesorganist@gmail.com.
I see but have a look on that viscount because you can connect and use hauptwerk with that. I spent more than 2 months looking for options between viscount and other brands like content and etc. In my case I needed an organ that could fit the elevator since I live in an apartment and the "normal" electronic organs are in 1 piece, a part from the pedalboard.
For my experience with hauptwerk the setting up of the organ was easy, (it came everything well organised and in parts easy to assemble) but what can be more difficult is the software, how to configure everything etc.
The advantage of hauptwerk is to have the opportunity of playing in several organs and the sound is more realistic!
