That 'was' the best deal anyone could get on a guitar. It was Guitar Centers 'Loss leader'. Shecter lists it as a Guitar Center exclusive. Guitar Center would normally sell them for 749.00, which was a decent price for it's features and build quality, But they would routinely put it on sale for 475.00 during their holiday sales. I got mine for 429.00 during one of their presidents day sales. Since Guitar Center routinely sold them at a huge loss to pull in costumers, their resale value is not very good. However, that means if you can find one used, you can get a very solid guitar for very cheap. The new Guitar Center C-1's are still good, but they are a bit more expensive, the sales are not quite as good, and they are made in indonesia. That said, they still look and perform really nice.
@@war2thegrave Mine is a 2022 model made in South Korea probably in the World Instruments factory where they have LTD Deluxe and other mid priced high end guitars
@@brandonharris9160 Mine was the same year. They were definitely made at World. You can tell by the 'W' in front of the serial number. I would still have mine, but I got a good deal on a V-1 SLS evil twin.
@@brandonharris9160 No bats. It was the same C-1 Platinum you have in the blue trans finish. They also Had a black, green, and purple. I traded a B.C. Rich towards it. I eventually upgraded it with Fishman Moderns and chrome hardware, but in the end, I just really wanted a V.
