      not much meat.though because they don't have fridges to store it for days or weeks, so when they do eat meat, its a feast that only lasts a couple days as the climate it spoils too fast.. We visited that area (different tribes but same ancestry) With smaller animals they add the meat for flavour to some soups to get a few days more, You sometimes saw meat in disshes but it was very thin slivers, so its a very low consumption of it. We noticed they mostly ate vegetables, root vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds, berries, seeded shoots, fruits, whole grains (if any), herbs, spices etc,

      That is not true. There are studies with hunter-gather communities where, as long as you made it through puberty and survived child birth as a women, you have good chances of reaching 70 and up (70 being modal (=highest frequency) life expectancy for people older than 15, if I remember correctly). And 70 is not that far of from the US, where life expectancy (at birth - but with infant mortality < 1 %) is around 77.5 years in 2022 - with modern medicin. Hence the life expectancy at birth in hunter-gatherer communities and in the middle age etc. is/was largely low due to infant mortality and not because of grown-up people dying rather early.

Basically if you can avoid processed food and move and lift (as our ancestors lived until about 10,000 years ago when we settled down and things went less well) you will be okay. I don't ever need pills either by the way so whether that is chicken or egg who knows.

      Well that's the question isn't it. Are you healthy because you do those things or can you do them because you are healthy? That isn't a question for you by the way. Everyone knows an oldie who claims something they do let them live, such as smoking or drinking vodka, or not, but you need a lot of data to work out what's what. Our ancestors were often dead by 40 so that isn't the test.

      @peamutbubber 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@djdownie3data says little, the principle of adaptation in humans is well understood, if you do something, you get better at it and adapt. Every living tissue in our body is capable of adaptation. So people who move and keep working their flexibility, strength and cardio, keep those adaptations into old age, so they are healthy because of what they do, and NOT the other way around.
      If you cannot do something like bend over or sit on your knees, it is possible at any age to develop the ability, its training, same as anything else.
      Yes you are able to do those things (be flexible, strong, sharp, endurant) because you are already healthy, but you can actively improve your health, day to day by doing things, it will hurt to use muscles and joints that havent been used in years, or that have been "injured", but they only adapt to use. So its either shrivel up and rot or use your body and mind and get healthier.
      In summary, you are absolutely healthy because of what you do, we adapt, we also de-adapt. Case in point, people who do nothing all day, will end up senile, their body had no reason to maintain strength.

      It's good that you think everything needs to be beautiful and what we are doing is right but in reality humans lived this way or worse for around 6 million years without modern luxuries. They may have not lived well but they also didn't have so much difference in high and lows. They lived happily and died peacefully without modern diseases and suffering.
      This luxury only started about a few thousand years ago, it may seem better to be so advanced in technology and stuff but if you think about was all of this really necessary, are we really evolving or just being a persistent bug on this piece of dirt that will kill itself much faster than it took to grow.
      On the grand scale of things today's advanced civilization may just be the quietness before the storm that will wipe all of us out without anyone to even look for our remains.

I have children finish their schooling of which I believe my only obligation. I hate enjoying drinking, smoking with friends or working in my garage shop to pass the time, if only we can say easily goodbye and be gone, I would rather have my space used by others. I am 57 years old, no medication and maintenance, joints pain many, can still lift and transfer my 150 pounds anvil when arranging things. Nobody asked if we want to exist or not, now we experience life and sustain the everyday challenge. In this world I won't be happy alone and seeing others in miserable lives. This life will go on, it is embedded in our system to survive and improve to adopt to our harsh environment. As human there's so much to choose how and what to be happy. Our culture teaches us that only death... "wait for it will surely arrive."
